Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea that this marine in particular just said
“what’s the point”
And decided to just give up and fight with Freeman
I think it was just executed poorly, he’s way too nonchalant about it and never seems to bring it up. the fact that he still sounds like A security guard just throws me off too

"Way behind enemy lines." Just does not fit the HECU soldier (who literally just replaced the security guard) and it sounds way out of place. "Missed the last flight." However, sounds in place knowing he is a soldier. But the 1st line? I'm sticking with the guard.

I have "BMCE Addon - Hazardous Environment Combat Unit Remastered".
Do you know if this guard be an HECU marine with the remaster?

To my knowledge, you would need “BMCE:R Addon H.E.C.U. Realism Expanded” for the security guard in this section to be replaced by the HECU Marine.

What why? I like this change. It brings out the humanity in the HECU. Something you don't see often. It's a point where they know freeman's the least of their concerns and they accept that.

@@evilboy3521 No HECU unit would team up with Freeman after all the things he caused. Even majority of the facility staff have doubts about Freeman. This man was fighting to the teeth with the Freeman, some were even swore to kill him. This really out of place and throws away everything established about HECU. And yes Freeman is still the target, they just gave a retreat order to ground forces.

@@evilboy3521 This isnt the original commenter’s reasoning, but I feel like someone would delete this because the soldier’s voicelines sound out of place
And while not too much of a major issue for my immersion, its a little weird to see the soldier not warning freeman not to shoot him

@@SomeGrunt_On_RUclips It would be very easy to have him say a small line, something like "hold your fire" as the voiceline does exist, but he author of the mod said he doesn't know how to use hammer sadly
