They are both two of the sweetest most amazing women on this planet. I wish I had a friend like them that was just so uplifting and kind. I feel you on the tearing up thing. I definitely was. Then leave it to Eamon to make me laugh. When he said he saw her shaking it and is looking pretty f*cking hot 😂 not laughing cuz I think he's wrong cuz he's totally right but just the way he said it. They're all just such positive energies and I love them!

Raya, I am almost 50, married, with three children… One of the nicest things of growing older is the grace you develop for yourself. Body image doesn’t matter, other people’s opinions matter less, generally empathy increases, and your relationships matter more than anything else. It’s really nice, actually. Thank you for your videos.

I agree! My belly isn’t very flat after having babies and it cracks me up how much my little kids love to rub it because it’s like bread dough. I try not to let it bother me because I know it’s not a big deal when I’m healthy.

Raya, you are such a bright light in the world! Society has told us as women and mothers that we aren't good enough the way we are and that is such BS. I 100% relate to you and I have struggled with body image my entire life and the changes it went through in pregnancy and after were hard to deal with sometimes. It helped me to remember that my body was able to create a LIFE. How amazing is that? My body is the portal for a soul to come to this earth in. I wish we could see ourselves through the eyes of those who love us, it would heal us from the inside out. Love both of you and I am so grateful you are spreading love and happiness on this earth!

This was fun!! Re: crying, I have a fascinating story for you. My son is trans and was born biologically female. During his teen years, before he began transitioning, he would cry at the drop of a hat... Cry when scared, when happy, when sad, etc etc. (so do I - I'm a weeper 😅), but he's now 4.5 years on Testosterone and says that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE for him to cry anymore. He just rarely does it or rarely feels the urge or tears welling up like previously. I find that incredibly validating, as a woman, that crying is just part of my biology! 🥰
It is 100% hormone related. So no one beat yourself up ❣

Totally teared up in several places in this video. Love it. Love how vulnerable you allowed yourselves to be and to share that with us. I feel you on all the body image crap we go thru as women. It’s such a mind f*ck and so hard to feel as beautiful as we are because we’re told over and over how we are not beautiful if we have a tummy or hips or a booty and god forbid you have ALL the curves. 🙄 Raya, you are stunning just as you are!! As is Bec. And damnit, so am I!! 💪🏼 Love the comment to just dance and sing!! And, yes, just do the things!! ❤❤❤ And be opinionated about veganism!! It’s important! Lastly, the quote I carry with me is from the movie Strictly Ballroom, “a life lived in fear is a life half lived.” I’m taking the leap soon to live fully!! 💚

I would love sitting down with all of you and run lifelines. Last winter when I took a virtual class “how to meditate” I meditated every day with a mindfulness practice given to me by the instructor to start my day and I never had more insights and general peace to start my days and it was in the dead of winter when my mind can be harder to settle. For meditation and how to keep the habit: I started this probably a year ago and it helped me get through depression and horrible anxiety. I find either an app like Headspace, or just use guided meditations on youtube and try to find ones that suite how much time I have available to do the meditation. So sometimes I only have like 10 minutes before I had to get my day going but taking that time is more important than not doing it, so it was finding something that I could adapt to the time frame I had. When I had more time at my disposal like on a weekend I would do 20 to 30 minutes at first and then eventually an hour. I think it is also not pressuring yourself to be able to do a whole hour long meditation because "thats what youre supposed to do" meditation is meditation, and it can be difficult at first for your brain to shut off and do the meditation if you arent used to it. So I highly recommend easing yourself into it, finding a time that is most convenient every day to do it (like right in the morning or right before bed) and then just adapting to whatever time frame you have and not punishing yourself if you dont see benefits right away.

Raya, I know you read these comments. Even though it feels like ‘your body will never be the same’… it won’t. It will be better. Every stretch mark or jiggly is a reminder of the joy your baby brings you. This body we have faught to make smaller and tighter now bring you something you can’t bring a price on. You child will look at your relationship with yourself to form their own self love. I found radical self acceptance through pregnancy and post partum and I hope you do to. You are beautiful and what makes us different makes us beautiful.

Raya I’ve had insecurities all my life too. I have two boys and my body is larger and different now than before, but I feel so much more gratitude towards my body now for all it has done to grown, birth and feed two humans. The imperfections truly do not get to me like they did before having children and I hope that’s your experience too. I think age also helps. We gain perspective on these things and continue to undo the beliefs that have been ingrained in us for so long. I paused the video to comment this because I see you and feel what that “stew” of insecurities feels like, but you are so beautiful inside and out. Lots of love your way.

I do not know Eamon personally, but I have feeling (purely based on RUclips videos) he is a very sensitive induvidual. Something in his childhood must have taught him that showing emotions is dangerous/wrong. Anger is just there to rescue him from feeling hurt/shame/disappointment/sadness/fear. I think being uncomfortable alone and loving adrenaline is also about avoiding some emotions he has. Someone close to me had this "problem" as well, untill he went to therapy to work on that initial trauma that caused this (it doesn't necessarily need to be anything dramatic, just adults saying "don't cry" is enough for children to learn it's not ok to show emotions) and worked on letting himself feel those initial feelings. He was very overwhelmed at first when he started letting feelings come but now he has this inner calmness and is way happier!

And as we are always our own worst critics, it is so easy to speak hurtful words about ourselves and what we think are flaws. But Bec totally nailed it, you are so absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. You truly are so beautiful, and then add to that your amazing energy, and you truly are a goddess Raya 💙 and again Bec just nailed it saying we all hope you find the day where you can look at yourself and see everything those who love you do. 20years post pregnancy and I am still learning how to love my body, you are totally not alone 💖

Loved watching this video 💜 Everyone's energy is beautiful!!
A tip for getting into a regular practice of meditation: I've been practising on and off for 10 years (I'm 27 now), but have been more consistent with my practice everyday since May 2021. I decided to do a meditation course (Mindspo) and it was so helpful in learning where to place my meditation practice in my day. Swing it off the back of something you do without fail everyday, key point: IN THE MORNINNN 💜It's the best time to do it as you will not have experienced too much external stimuli. I brush my teeth, get some hot water and jump in! I now use the headspace app too for some shorter mediation practices. There are also sooo many on guided practices on RUclips too. But if you want to try a mantra meditation, I highly recommend picking a mantra and if you need some sound - listen to some wavy meditation sounds.
    Happy meditating 💜🌿🌺

Just look in the mirror and really imagine the person you see in the mirror is a super good friend that you deeply love no matter what and than watch your thoughts. You don‘t have to be beautiful to deserve love and you don’t have to be thin to deserve love and you actually don’t have to be anything to deserve love like now your baby also deserves love for just his soul, not more or less. ❤️

Taking even just 10 minutes at the start of your day to write down at least 5 things you are grateful for, bring yourself back to your breath and say THANK YOU - thats the only prayer/meditation that you'll ever need: thank you. When I was pregnant I hated the fact people commented how big I was getting. I had worked hard for years to achieve body neutrality and it all crashed down I felt so self conscious because people kept bringing it up. After birth my body is a similar size to pre pregnancy but looks different I still have a small belly, like I did pre pregnancy, plus stretch marks and loose skin. But I am now in a place where those things are impossible to be uncomfortable with because I know that these marks and forms gifted me my son. I feel like I've transitioned past neutrality and really value my body more than I ever did before.

Don’t worry about feeling like you need to “bounce back” after birth. Your body should be celebrated for the amazing accomplishment of bringing a spirit into human form.

Thank you for doing this! I think it provokes those of us watching, to ask ourselves or each other “ questions “, and it demonstrates that it’s ok to share & not sit in judgment of somebody else! Please do more of these upon occasion!

Raya you are such a beautiful woman. Please don’t let society dictate how you feel about yourself! You have so much courage and I admire your honesty. My physical body is not what society deems as beautiful, but I am trying to embrace who I am and dam anyone who won’t accept me. Thank you for letting us see YOU and your loving spirit💕

I think we have all had those moments & if you haven't get on with it. That baby's going to have such wonderful parents. I cannot wait to see it all happen should you wish to share. Love & blessings. When Louis said about being tight and anxious as a child I felt that.
I always tried to be what others wanted.
I’m 44 and unfortunately I still find myself Doug that.
However this year I’m less inclined to care what others want and do what I want.

For the guys trying to get into meditation but have a hard time, yoga is the key. That's exactly what it's meant for. I would seek out a very traditional form and do a retreat that does a lot of it and some meditation. The traditions of India have the answer.
Also the 10 day vipasana is the beginner class. You have to take that before you can take a three day. I've done the 10 day with no probs. But I've done a huge amount of yoga.

Raya, as someone who has also always struggled with body image, and worried about how my body would change with pregnancy. I can say that after having two kids, yes it does change and there is some adjusting, BUT you feel so powerful. You create life, you birth your baby! Learn to look at your body for all the amazing things it has done for you, and bringing new life into this world really helps you see that. You start to see it for how amazing it is and YOU are! Youre beautiful, especially on the inside and that to me matters the most!

Thank you to all four of you beautiful souls for sharing your inner thoughts and feelings. 🌸🌸🌸🌸

Raya, oh honey, I teared up watching you struggle with your body image. You're so right about the pressures put on women, but I want to encourage like so many others. I've seen you for awhile now and I always think to myself not only how beautiful you are, sexy curves, full on woman power beauty, but your inner beauty shines so bright. There's this feminity about you that is so incredibly strong and filled with light. I imagine it as this calm, feminine, independent, knowing of yourself that exudes strength and love and joy. Pure light my friend. You shine bright.

I make 10 min meditation part of my bedtime routine... At the end of the day what people are really afraid of losing their ability to meet their basic needs... Marketing preys on women's insecurities to sell their products... My step grandmother died while I was still an addict. She made the best pear honey. I cant find anything like it. I so wished I would have taken the time to make it with her... singing stimulates the vagus nerve.

Raya - I had 3 kids in 3 years - and I completely feel you. Please let me know if I can help in anyway. When I had my first - my amazing partner had me take photos to celebrate the changes. I read something once that really stuck with me. I say this to you as someone who was one way pre-kids and another post. We are all here for you. I was there for the morning sickness, the amazing changes of the body, when we learned how to make cream for the belly as is grew, adjusting to the baby (and some amazing surprises along the way). In our society we've lost that circle of folks that are helpful - please let me know if there's any questions (none are too small). You go you amazing mama!
