I've flown from the South Terminal a lot going on Holiday and there's 2 other sets of lifts in the South Terminal car park. Another set of 3rd Generation Ecodiscs and also some 1st Generation ones which I suspect are mods of an older lifts. Airside there were some glass lifts which I think may have been Schindler which have now been replaced with EuroLifts and also some D series lifts which have been replaced with Ecodiscs. I think I saw another lift near the D series though I don't know what it was.
The South terminal hotel (Hilton) lift are Kone M series lifts modernized by generic? I may be wrong but that hotel building is a little old. There is also a new part of the hotel which had 3rd generation ecodiscs (you missed those lifts). Those lifts have 1st generation fixtures but with the 3rd generation motor.
8:58 That is an american Westinghouse lantern, the one used from the 1950s to the 70s. As far as I know, Westinghouse did not have elevator/lift operations in the UK, the closest equivalent would be their partnership with Express. However there was Westinghouse in France and Germany, and those operations were bought by KONE in 1975, there is a Kone right besides... maybe they also had a small presence in the UK too?
20:36 The priority service don't works like that. Usually on Otis MCS controllers, you can't call the lift from the landing buttons, and if the priority service is disabled, the door have to close like on normal mode.
24:48 In a local shopping centre that opened in 1988 they used to have a galas semicircular shaped lift however in 2012 it was replaced with a Schindler lift just like the one there but it was a glass version! They also in 2020-2021 installed an identical glass lift in another area of the centre! :)
I cant believe someone would just leave a key in the lift XD why would you do that lol he must of been in a rush and just was like "oh i need the toilet oh i will leave the keys here i am sure nobody will use them", 1 hour later, *keys are still in lift and beno comes along*
Otis US and UK elevators used to all have the same fixtures. Then what happened? I love seeing Series 1 in UK, and now I wonder why UK can’t get Series 2, 3, 5 or 7! And consistency such as double chime for going down and single for going up.
Doggy connection in the priority key switch. I think the key was turning back slightly or something making it go in and out of attendant mode making the it sort of reset (and the doors open) each time the mode is changed.
***** I don't think its the doors that are causing the problem. I was testing this lift for a lot longer but didn't include this in the lift tour as it was too long (I was amazed that security didn't come! as I must have gone up and down 10 times!). When it wasn't in priority service it worked fine. The lift gets confused if priority service is turned off while it is moving. One time it refused to open the doors at the first floor. In priority service the doors re open if you let go of the button. If the key is taken out when the doors are closing in priority service then they will reopen and the floor pressed will be cancelled. When in priority service the lift didn't always behave as expected which leads me to think there is a doggy connection in the key switch.
I think it is so Great how excited you are to ride the little transit train between north and south terminals I had to laugh I always really really hate this stupid train thing and the stupid voice on the stupid PA which really gets on everyone's nerves because I only ever have to ride it when my plane has landed at the stupid north terminal which i really hate because it means that it will take me about 40 mins longer to get through passport control and to the train home and at 2.30 AM after a long flight that is a big deal ! because i am knackered and just want my bed and i do not want to wait for a blasted train EVER ETERNITY I love your videos they are very interesting to be honest i never really even notice the lifts but you make them seem so very exciting i wish i felt the way you do about them i think its great how excited you sound
I really like automation systems. I am interested in the technology (especially the old ones from the 80s). Small railways are fun and inspiring. I love the way they run with no staff about. These sorts of systems have far more character than irritating long distance trains which I get bored on. I didn't realize that it takes a lot longer to get of the plain at the north terminal. I enjoy exploring buildings, riding the lifts and seeing what parts I can get into that I'm not supposed to be in. HEHE! The most disappointing thing about the airport is that none of the old service lifts had original leveling.
have you been up inside the shard it costs too much money my friend went she said it cost her £50 to go up there that's so expensive i think yes it takes a lot longer to get to the train if the aeroplane lands at north terminal although they always say it on;y takes a few minutes more its more like 40 mins even if you walk fast I really hate airports all that uncomfortable furniture and customs has taken all of the fun out of travelling did you watch that lift prank video i sent you ? did you like it could you make creepy lift videos or prank ones like that ? wold love to be that guy who shouts as the doors close i love that so much the way every one jumps outta there skins lol
Konstantin Kokkorakis I haven't been up the shard. It is way too expensive. As for creepy videos, I was thinking of recreating the game 5 nights at freddys using a lift somewhere.
If you get a chance, heathrow Terminal 2 has some of those nice new style Schindler in the carpark (which I sadly didn't get to film as they were so busy). I did film some of Eurolift style Schindler's inside (pretty much the whole terminal is Airside, apart from the carpark). You may also want to consider paying to use the Hotel Hoppa, as it actually is different from a normal E200 as it makes the same sound as the Hong Kong & New Zealand ones, as opposed to the UK sound (You'll see my video it soon, or else you can watch another video of an NZ E200 on my Channel). ruclips.net/video/1tyDvhXIKVA/видео.html
Gatwick has cool lifts. zigzag door lift is nice. removed lift looks handsome. removing the kone lifts is a mistake. oh yes, service lifts are exploring places. irst class lift is very clean. lighted lifts are cool. they need more of this. posh lift is impressive. what's with 2 sets of pushbuttons in the schindlers?
8:31: It's got the 1st gen Ecodisc voice!
2:01 kone really loves door open buttons!
13:48 Those are like the Otis 2000 you surfed.
Nope, their ecodiscs dude.
6:47 Schindler with ecodisc Buttons Interesting!
Those buttons should be callbuttons with cabin pressels because of the wiring, you can't wire Kone KSS cabine buttons on an non LCE controller
24:51 Those new style Schindler lifts started in 2013. Schindler 5500 lifts built in 2014.
I've flown from the South Terminal a lot going on Holiday and there's 2 other sets of lifts in the South Terminal car park. Another set of 3rd Generation Ecodiscs and also some 1st Generation ones which I suspect are mods of an older lifts.

6:52: Schindler sounds like it has an Ecodisc (90s Schindlers like that one are never MRL)

I think they are 5500
6:45 A Schindler lift with Ecodisc buttons i'm confoosled someone please explain
schindlers pist lol
1:47 *FART...*
The Schindler lifts in the hotel is a Schindler 3300 / 3300A (Either of them is what them Schindlers are)
Used to watch the planes land here as a kid from the south terminal car park roof. Whenever I'm in an ecodisc I think of Gatwick airport.
you should have done the premier inn lifts next to the north terminal entrance near transit train
I cant believe someone would just leave a key in the lift XD why would you do that lol he must of been in a rush and just was like "oh i need the toilet oh i will leave the keys here i am sure nobody will use them", 1 hour later, *keys are still in lift and beno comes along*
In Southampton there is a old Otis and a kone ecodisc
you make me wanna go up and down lifts
Gatwick loves its ecodiscs
The lift in the Hampton hotel car park has not got Generic lift it has an Olympics lift.
At Hampton by Hilton Hotel, it's a Schindler 5500.
Finally Gatwick Airport Lift Tour!
Yay :)
6:46 them buttons looked like ecodisc buttons
Nice mod on the first service lift.
6:08 THEY GOT RID OF THIS LIFT!! 7:15 THE LIFT GONE!! THEY GOT RID OF THEM!!
Otis US and UK elevators used to all have the same fixtures. Then what happened? I love seeing Series 1 in UK, and now I wonder why UK can’t get Series 2, 3, 5 or 7! And consistency such as double chime for going down and single for going up.
beno on the ecodisc that goes to the buses 2 is arrivals and 3 is departures
16:50 Those are fast for service lifts!
Note: you now need a room key to get the the hotel floors.
New camera?
22:01 what is that buzzing sound???
I can't believe a gated lift got modernized into and ecodisc it looks so weird I thought it would just get completely replaced
I remember going in some of these lifts when I went to florida
What was wrong with the Otis at 20:00
Doggy connection in the priority key switch. I think the key was turning back slightly or something making it go in and out of attendant mode making the it sort of reset (and the doors open) each time the mode is changed.

Thanks, Good Video Keep up the good work
Those look like the same airport trains we have in Phoenix
the schindler hydraulic lifts chime sound like the meadowhall round lifts
why are plane enthusiast not welcomed at the airport?? so not fair
I always used ecodiscs in the car parks when I was little to watch the planes from the south terminal car park
Listen to that fart at 1:47!
Over my area we have Optare Solo SRs but our's have the same engine as an Enviro 300/400, different from the one you filmed.
8:38
Cos all posh hotels have lifts with fcked up doors
11:23 | This video is an advert for British Airways.
My local school has 2 ecodiscs & one is padded & it looks weird.
That transit system seems to change from time to time from having BA advertising to EasyJet and I think TUI too.
Zig went on a schindler wich has the same voice as the schindler lift that you never seen but it’s the same model it just looks like a schindler MRL
6:51- Schindler with Kone fixtures??
Good lift tour, by the way :D
Otis series 1 is a US elevator fixtures!
Those series1 elevators look just like the elevators in the independent living sector of my local retirement/assisted living home.
Hey beno, if you’d like to see more Otis S1’s you should fly to the U.S. plenty over there
There are some lovely ones air side
I think it is so Great how excited you are to ride the little transit train between north and south terminals
I had to laugh

did you like it
could you make creepy lift videos
or prank ones like that ?
wold love to be that guy who shouts as the doors close

Konstantin Kokkorakis I haven't been up the shard. It is way too expensive.
As for creepy videos, I was thinking of recreating the game 5 nights at freddys using a lift somewhere.

+Konstantin Kokkorakis it is free no ticket required
1:45 *FART!*
16:16 The stupid security decided to make those lift key-card operated.
7:29 Epic Motor!
2:01 wait why does this lift have a door open button
Timestamp 6:47: That is a Schindler with Kone buttons! "SchindlerKONE"
This is my favorite lift tour
The Otis lift looks like a service lift like the gated keighly Schindler and kone ecodisc
I have been in a ecodisc
03:12 ecodisk with broke button or with a key button?
I thought is was Doors Close

*****
Not if you compare them closely.
The NZ ones sound more like an Enviro 400, as opposed to a 200.
Alex Ellis The NZ and HK ones are, I believe, fitted with a 6-cylinder Cummins ISBe, hence they sound different.
Omar Diab
Yes, I think I said that in the description of the Hotel Hoppa I filmed at Heathrow while I was over there.
Nice tour

One is the rear set of pushbuttons are Staff floors and one is the front set of the buttons are Public floors.
The office schindler
Lift has not got the original buttons it’s using kone ecodisc buttons
6:46
I did not know Schindler can use Kone fixtures. Huh?
Replaced some old D2 buttons.
Sounds like the motor was also replaced with an Ecodisc.
Those hotels you went passed to the north terminal I've stayed in premier inn
Tremble mortals, and despair!
Doom has come to this world!
In bar hill tesco extra there’s a glass Otis gen2
24:52 Schindler 5500. I can tell by the sound of the door motor.
Yeah that's the Schindler 5500 at the Hampton hotel. Also do you know if London Stansted Airport has any lifts?
There are lifts at London Stansted Airport.
***** I went to Stansted last year
I went to Gatwick last year and we used that escalator next to the lifts at 12:23
The freight lift is a keighly schindler lift
Favourite Bus brand? (I mean as in Alexander dennis, volvo, Wright bus, etc)
do you like football or any sport
The old glass lifts had a great motor
The 2 service lift is a keighly schindler
What is the Serial No for the lift in the Bloc Hotel
The Fart Was So Funny😂
I never new Otis series 1 lifts can be service lifts in uk
I've never seen why they did the guided bus ways here instead of just more bus lanes...
I stayed in the Hampton hotel before I went on holiday
Why Not Ride On The Gatwick Airport Shuttle Again? 😀
I arrived at this airport when I went to London (I come from France)
6:46 THAT HAS ECODISC BUTTONS!!!!!!!
Probably a mod job
Enviro buses or getting old sadly the enviro factory needs to do something and quick

The door is made out of glass not the walls of it
Soon can you do prt2 of skyscraper
