my storm keeps going out of control. i waited for its nergy and it was only at 40% when it said the storm is out of control then rapidly zoomed to 100% at the part where im about to drop full inventory onto the floor of the ship. this has happned 4x in a row and makes no sense im following your guide to a tee
I was having the same problem. Then realised I was doing 20 fish on the second deposit, not 19. If you do 19 each round (drop any extra for the end if you have extra spaces) then it works perfectly.

I've tried this several times. Everytime I get to the part where you have to get tempoross to 30% health and then fish, cook & drop the fish it says randomly "Tempoross has gathered too much energy. The storm is out of control!" It then proceeds to rapidly increase the storm intensity too much to where I can't reach in time. What am I doing wrong?
Naah is bullshit to drop the fish When you start... Catch 8 fish and cook them there is spawning after a double fish spot fish until you have 16 and cook these... load the cannon and fire it. Temporos will be at 10% now and wont use any special attacks 2. Fish now inventory with 19 fish, always find the ones with double spots. Cook these 19 and fire and load them untill your inv. Is empty. Attack the spiritual pool untill tempors is at 60- 65% 3. Again catch 19 fish cook these fire and load the cannon, attack the spiritual pool untill its 30 - 35% 4. Catch your last 19 fish and cook it, load fire and attack the spirit pool for the last time Congratz you have a solo tempoross kill
I'm assuming either this method is level dependent or there has been an update since this video was made that makes the method no longer work. At 57 fishing following all steps as shown I was consistently unable to get this method to work. Multiple waves hit on the first phase, breaking the mast and eventually causing me to get hit by them because no hammer to repair mast. Maybe with higher fishing it would be achievable but I don't see any way to avoid a second wave, since it hits almost as soon as I finish loading up the first 16 fish.
just did it today at 59 fishing, i had to write this guide on notepad after 1 hour of failed dolo runs the wave only happened 1 time right at the 15% mark and cloud was only once too
1 Fish and cook 16 fish - shoot - bring boss to 10% essence 2 Put out 4 fires 3 Fish and cook full inv - shoot before 90% storm intensity - bring boss to 55% health 4 Fish and cook full inv - shoot - bring boss to 30% health 5 Fish and cook full inv - drop near crate 6 Fish and cook as many as you can before 90% storm intensity, distrubute 50/50 between cannons 7 finish off boss
idk if im doing something wrong at step 5 the energy at the top increases way quicker than the video and I can't even finish that inventory without the minigame failing.

thanks this method is the way for me, tried other well made videos and it was always a tick behind failed many games with their vids. first try with this one.
Tried to do with 70-72 fishing and I was 200-300 points off, don't think it can be done with my level. Probably need 80+.. Just wasted 2.5 hours to find this out.
PSA: This works but you need to be at least 70 fishing and a dragon harpoon for it to be easy . Boost with an admiral pie before you go in and have one on you. Eat before you go to fish the first two times, then use the d harpoon spec before that and you should be good. I brought a LB too but you probably don't need it.
@@lw8684 oh yeah. Duh. I’m a dumbass. Anyway for the record I have 78 fishing and went in with a dharpoon yesterday. No need for lightbearer and also no need for admiral pies. I may have gotten lucky with my catch rate but I will also say that i failed the game prior because I caught TOO MUCH fish and forced an insta tempoross sink too and failed the challenge. So I think this may be possible even without the dharpoon, the fishing level seems quite necessary though.
To be even more clear, I put in 16 initially as the guide suggests, but on later rounds I had less buckets (and also no net) and didn’t realize I would force tempoross too low to submerge him again. So there is definitely some spare time to play around with
I could do the solo combat achievement but somehow, i can't make it to the 10 reward points. The things that are happening to me, do not match yours. For example, i can't finish throwing the 16 first fishes to the guy. It becomes weakened before.
If you haven't managed it yet, the key is at the end to have all 19 cooked fish loaded so you get a "fourth" attempt to attach Tempoross once the game says the storm i too strong.
i have done this 20 times without outfit and gone from 71 to 73 fishing and still can't do it, done exactly what he says but i'm not fast enough, i want to die because this shit is harder than a fire cape, am i missing something???
what happens in this video doesn't match with mine. fires usually break out before i'm able to cook the first 16 fish. the highest point score I could manage was around 7100 before wiping. edit: I was using a dragon harpoon instead of a barb-tail harpoon and my fishing level is 67. A low fishing level might be what's causing the discrepancy.
To be fair, this guide was meant just to be the easiest way to finish the combat task, it's not really the best example of how to get as many points per game as possible. Realistically if you pay attention and let as many fires spread as you can, it's only going to take around 10 mins max each time and around 13 permits a game on average, so six games an hour should be getting you like close to 80 points. That's essentially double what you would get in masses. The wiki has a great step by step guide on how to do this, it's called the firefighting method.
Thank you for the feedback! I could have gone in-depth with it and make it 30 minutes long, however it's such a braindead activity that I opted for showing what to do instead of why do it. Sorry I didn't take the opportunity to explain much of the why's inthis video :(

Got it first try, great guide and calling out what to do at what %. I got 11 reward permits on my attempt, 99 fishing no dragon harpoon.
This worked perfectly on my first try. I did this at level 45 fishing with a standard harpoon so anyone should be able to do this.

make sure u only fish 16 fish the first time. That was the mistake I made. I catched a whole inventory instead of 16

Guide no longer seems to work. There is no way for me to get 8500 points anymore with this method.
Guide works fine, I just got 8905 point with a normal harpoon first try @ 84 fishing
So 12.5 min for 8 reward points solo or 6 min for 4 reward points group. I guess no point in doing solo
