SOLO Tempoross Firefighter Guide (OSRS)

- Tempoross is the fishing equivalent of Wintertodt, training fishing and providing various rewards. It is a great medium intensity method of training fishing with fairly decent XP and some profit on top. I have been going for the Tempoross pet on and off lately, and have been utilizing a very unique strategy the community have called “firefighter method” which provides the most reward permits an hour, up to 80 if being efficient. This is the fastest method of obtaining any uniques from Tempoross, including the fish barrel and pet, as well as providing roughly 50k fishing xp/hr and 400k gp/hr, which really is fairly decent.

Thank you so much for this awesome guide that still holds up today! 0 trial and error, always averaging 9800-10.2k points per round (12-13 permits, usually 13). I don't have an infernal harpoon and my rounds are all lasting between 9:50-10:30. It's so much more chill than normal Tempoross where you're stressed about timing to deposit your fish with others to maximize your point potential.
Hey just a note you can get even more points if you let the fire spread on your side of the island as well, no need to put those 4 out at the start, just the one that blocks your way from the boat to the island and also any that might block fishing spots. Doing this method is a little bit more intense, but definitely worth it if you're trying to maximize points.
I've started doing this not too long ago, definitely a lot better to let it propagate if possible
@@GnomonkeyRS Yea exactly, you end up getting into some really fun moments where pretty much the whole island is covered in fire, and as you mentioned it's really fun to test your movement abilities out weaving through the couple spots in the fires and trying to be as efficient with your ticks to get multiple fires out at once (those triple extinguishes always feel so good). Great content man, really love what you're doing!
You can get near 100 permits an hour with this method solo so I'd say it's absolutely worth the effort.

Finally got a 10k+ round! Literally my last fish pushed me over 10k pts! Thank you! Took me a few rounds of failing to really internalize the information, but now I think I got it 👍🏽
Thanks for the guide! One improvement I found is letting the fire spread at your side of the island as well, and before depositing the 2nd 19 fish, extinguish as much as time allows. This way I managed to get a 14,400 point round earning 18 permits.
Mate I have been putting off learning this for a while, watched your vid a couple times and made some notes, just got my first 14 point game when I usually get 8-9. Over 400kc, wish I'd done it sooner! You are an absolute legend for uploading this, thanks brother
Nice guide! I've been doing this method without Humidify, its certainly possible. New low level characters do not need to worry :)
At the start of round 3 after reducing its HP to between 20/30, fill your inventory up with 27 buckets (28 if you have an equipable harpoon), then fill these up with water. Run around to the other side of the island and essentially use these 27 buckets of water to "carve a path" to the dock (the other water station), ideally by the time you get to the dock you will have 27 empty buckets. Fill up these buckets again. Douse 27 more fires. Drop 2 buckets and catch 2 fish. Count how many fires are on the boat and fill up this many buckets. Go to the boat and douse all fires, then fire the cannon and finish off the boss.
This nets around 10 reward points every 9.30 minutes, or 11/13 reward points every ~11.30 minutes if I decide to farm more points in the last round, obviously not as efficient, but still decent if you don't meet the requirements for Humidify :)
You can easily get more points if you are willing to spend more time, for example, in round 2 you have lots of spare time to get points, and you could also easily douse more fires/catch+cook more fish in round 3. I have found however this doesn't really speed up the points per hour (when not using Humidify).

I didn’t know the drop rates prior to this. I got the fish barrel on my third pull from the reward pull, and the tome around my 10th temporise kill, on my group Ironman!

fucking best guide ever, got my easy, medium and hard CA task done with this.
Gnome you've once again pulled through for me with an S-tier guide. Watched a guide that didn't help, the wiki's strat is more complicated. Got this on the second attempt.
Oh, one thing to note about the 4th phase is you actually can survive it, if you have enough fish preloaded in at least 2 cannons. But then again, that's irrelevant for this method.

Another note about Barb Fishing is that it allows you to bring an Imcando hammer, thus saving you an extra inventory space over even the equippable harpoons.
You wouldn't bring that for this method as it's useless after the first couple minutes

Barehanded fishing is actually better than using the barb-tail. You don't lose any fishing xp per hour -- the animation looks slower but in reality it is the same speed.
Also, ring of endurance pretty much negates the need for the stamina pot

how is barbarian fishing "sacrificing some fishing xp"? both barehanded fishing and the barbed harpoon have the same catch rate as normal harpoons. so no fishing xp wasted there (compared to the barbed harpoon)

This is one of the few gnomonkey guides where I happened to know the method already. And I also have all the untradeable uniques from Tempoross anyway, but excellent guide regardless!
