I have functionally zero skill or knowledge in this game and primarily play it because my wife is obsessed and I wanna be able to talk about it with her. You got my 55 Fishing ass successfully soloing temp in like 3 tries. Clear, succinct, easy to follow. Great job and thank you
I mean this as sincerely as possible. This is easily the best OSRS guide I have ever seen. It doesn't have production value, but that's not what makes a guide great. What makes a guide great is that we are given all the relevant information we need. We're given the information in a short, concise, to-the-point manner that tells us everything that we could possibly need. It's not convoluted or artificially extended to make the video unnecessarily long. Not to mention your demeanor is chill and relaxing. If you keep uploading videos to this quality, I have no doubt you'll become a well known content creator in the OSRS community. I can see in the comments that people that don't even play the game understand Tempoross just by watching your video. I'm so happy the algorithm put your video on my Home page. You've earned another subscriber and you'll absolutely get more!
At 1:30 I was blown away at the presentation of everything, it's such a good color pallet, not hard on the eyes, and everything just looks sharp. Great presentation GaryDuels, keep up the good work! Subscribed!
Thank you for putting out a guide like this, it's rare to see a true beginners guide so clear and thorough. So many videos on other bosses/minigames jump straight into "most efficient way to get x reward" and skip over the basics and actual mechanics, but you explained it perfectly without shortcuts or using jargon. Excellent work
What a great guide I follow along easy 10 permits each time. Way easier and more chill than mass worlds. And no stress after the first wave wow. Thanks for this.
A tip for the final batch of fish, when Tempoross is still around 10-20% health. Spread that final inventory of cookedfish over 'both' cannons equally. It sometimes/rarely happens that you've just got a streak of bad luck in fishing success chance, and you barely can't finish Tempoross off. Normally you'd fail, but the double cannons shooting actually can 'out-speed' the storm intensity one time. This guarantees success on the final wave.
You can - and should - do this multiple times. By using simple drop techniques to store two inventories of fish total, you can make him resurface "in enraged mode" three times before killing him. Not entirely sure if its an improvement in points per hour, but combining that knowledge with firefighter lets you have ~17 points games in ~16 mins.
The storm only rages in rounds past 3. The first three rounds it’s at a normal pace. But you’re right. After the 3rd you need to have 9 cooked fish in each canon to down it.
Really like how you did it in relative real time. Actually have been able to do this reliably now! The wiki description sounded too complicated but your guide was super straightforward and easy to remember. Thanks!
Man such a straightforward guide! This seems to be the most efficient method overall if you want both points and xp. The no-cook gets maybe 15% more xp but 50% less points. On the other hand the firefighter method gets a huge amount of points but the xp is truly terrible and not worth unless you are just going for pet rolls or green log. thanks for putting this together, so easy to follow! plus you did it on an account that isnt maxed with crystal/infernal harpoon so everyone can actually follow along and not feel like it won't work for them.
This is a fantastic guide! I already like Tempoross and it will be awesome to be able to get more rewards and xp. And this will help me get the 10 permits combat achievement. Thanks!
Excellent excellent work, easy sub and looking forward to whatever else you make. Would happily watch guides like this for pretty much any content in osrs!
I followed your guide today and easily green-logged the combat achievements for Tempoross in 2 tries. Really well thought out method and very well put together video! Thank you! :D
Excellent video! Tempoross was already my favorite minigame, and this just made it even better. I think it is faster to refill the buckets on the dock, though, since then you can right click solo-start the ladder on the boat when you go back to Unkah. Excited to see more!
Oh man thank you for making this. Been a bit dry on the barrel and was not really enjoying tempoross but this looks way more enjoyable and for once I'm excited to go to temp now!
A few tips that were missed especially for those with lower levels or got some bad RNG. For that first batch of 19 cooked fish after dropping it down to 10%, if you cannot get all of them cooked before around 92% Storm intensity, load up the cannons with whatever cooked fish you have. When fishing in the middle pool, only fish until it reaches to about 60% essence, and use whatever remaining time before it resurfaces to start cooking the remaining fish and load them into the cannons. This will let you course correct if the first phase didn't go as planned. As for the third and final loading of the cannons, I would advise to load at least 8 fish into the second cannon. In case you get bad RNG and it lives with at 1 or 2% health. It will provide you with enough damage to outpace the storm to 100% (One cannon will not do damage fast enough) and let you get the last hit in.
What do you do if you accidentally run over a tile of fire? I just lost a run because that single tick's mistake removed almost half my inventory of fish
Very well done. Was very surprised to see you are just starting out. Happy to be your 730th subscriber and cant wait to see what content you bring to this community.
Afk'd for like 2 mins randomly, still completed the fight with temporous, and got my last 2 combat achievements done by following this giude. Thanks! The best solo guide ive seen!
Not sure if they added this feature after your vid but you can also right click "start solo" to create a solo match right away without having to wait 30 seconds each time
This is a very good guide! One other thing you can do for a bit less xp/hr but more permits per hour is go into the lunar spellbook and get a whole inventory of buckets after the final ammo crate deposit and use humidify to fill up the buckets, run all the way to the other side putting out all of the fires and the boss will re=enter the down phase while you do this and you can finish him off on the other side. I'm sure this reduces the xp/hr by 20-25%, but increases the permits per hour by a similar amount to around 75 ish
It took me like 5 tries because the storm intensity would reach 100% after my second inventory for some reason, while I followed the guide to a tee. No idea what I did wrong, but either way, I got it after the 5th try. Subscribing and looking forward to other videos! You have a chill voice to listen to and the editing is nicely done.
@@dubot4076 rng with the double fish. Pay attention to storm intensity, when its at 10% health start running from stove by 92% intensity even if your not done cooking (only the cooked stuff). You'll want to know how many you were short by so you don't put too may fish in after smacking it to 60/30% health. As others said, on the last full inventory make sure you dump like 8 into the further cannon first then the rest in the other one. This guarantees one more shot at hitting temp (or getting a couple more fish if you're greedy, but I don't recommend since if you mess up that 10min down the drain). I aim for 8k should get you 10 permits.
@@dubot4076number one tip for all RuneScape content is be patient and try again. Tempor isn’t hard per se but it can take some time to get comfortable there. You’ll get it
Awesome video, going to try this on my new HCIM. Just one thing, Ironmen can also get barb-tailed harpoons from hunter level 33, they can be equipped so 1 less item you could lose to fire or wave.
This was a great video. I’ve done a fair bit of temp and will be maxing my fishing while exclusively training at temp and I can tell you this is solid. Couple more things for the keeners, If you do not down temp within three rounds then the storm rages and the white bar increases rapidly. You can still down him but you’d have to put 9 cooked fish in both canons. Also if I see that I have more time fishing I’ll drop some of my cooked fish and fish some more. It’s less xp per hour but more points. You get on average 2-3 more pulls per game but the games are about 2 and a half mins longer and you risk messing up and falling a run entirely.
the travel method you did is awesome for getting there, i always used a games necklace and used boaty in the desert but yours is way more friendly to all playstyles.
Yes this is very true. I had this in my initial notes but I cut it to reduce the video length. It is worth noting that the dragon harpoon special attack (and therefore the light bearer) will only have an effect up to level 87. The crystal harpoon special attack will only provide a benefit up to level 74. Although if you are using the crystal harpoon, I would recommend the elven/celestial signet to save crystal charges.
