you so much helped me with these tuts follow you in daw, man... i would watch something drums build and mix kinds of things too. like there is in this track.
Nice to see someone else work flow. So many ways to produce music. I humanise all the notes in melodies, leads, intro pluck and mid basses. Velocity, note length and sometimes positions to give a less robotic sound. Lots of little things add up. I was taught for my melody section to use a saturator and then use OtT plugin about 3-9% I also use a vintage eq to add some colour
OTT is a great ingredient but I find its not for every lead section. As long as the saturation is tasteful a good chain will do wonders for those buses. And velocity is a secret weapon for emotion and depth I agree. 🙂
nothing wrong with the stock plugins, you do have to adjust your workflow in some cases but over all just like Ableton the stock plugins are there to make great music. 😎
You used 2 compressors (first stage compression + solid bus comp). Why would you use 2? Can't you just set 2 dB for a single compressor or will that not have the same effect?
I did explain this in the video which is to take the load off just the one compressor. Pushing 1 too far can leaded to undesired pumping effects and very obvious compression. And in this case one is for control and the other for glueing. 😎
I'm no expert but from what I've seen, high end mastering engineers pretty much just have a bank of compressors that they chain together (with many years experience, of course) making very small tweaks on each one to give a cumulative effect.
.... another great "Demis H. Show", yooo....Thanks!
Cheers Daniel. 😎
legend sounds
😎 cheers
Cafe del mar...lol blast from the past!

Love this series 👍🏼
I like the vibe of this track Demis, sounds like a real banger in the making, please let us know if it will be released 🍻
Maybe 🤔 but more a tutorial track so probably not. Never say never though.
@@demishellen I dig it! It's happy and uplifting so why not just expand it to about 6-7 minutes and share the feeling? :)
Maybe you could make a banger with this?
@@jellycoding I wouldn't mind, but I'd rather it was my own idea from the get go. It has got a very good vibe, hopefully Demis will finish it 🤞
Great tutorial Demis 🥂
As always, much appreciated. Hopefully it sparks some ideas 🙂
Great buddy, thanks for your efforts and explanation 🤝
Glad to hear you liked the video 😎
you're a legend thanks so much ❤

I need sheet music (midi)if you can help 🙏🤯🙏
🙌
Cheers Dude 😎
How you kake the stutter fx in 0:56
DB Glitch, plenty of more modern glitch effects out there now though.
Great another tutorial! Thank you Demis! I always have inspiration after new videos. I have a question. Do you like Cubase stock plugins?
nothing wrong with the stock plugins, you do have to adjust your workflow in some cases but over all just like Ableton the stock plugins are there to make great music. 😎
@@demishellen Thank you for your reply.
Great vid DH. But, i have a question🧐. Does the incorrect note (orange note) in the scale thingy work in cb 10.5?
Can’t remember if it was a 10 or 11 feature. When you open the midi editor you will see ‘scale assistant’ on the left side 👍🏼

Let’s use Logic Pro from now on Demis 👍🏻
same technique apply to all DAW's, the tools we have are tools we can create music with 🙂
Why don’t you release anything mate? Our do you have alias you produce under?
