I'm always impressed with how incredibly thick and rich ypu are able to make your leads with just a single synrh layer. I obviously need to learn more about voicing, and sound design in general. Looking forward to playing around with Diva a little bit tonight 👌

It comes with practice, I only started in 2017 with sound designing 😎 a lot is down to hearing the sound and using it to see how it works with other elements. Most of my tutorials are out of context with other elements to keep the video concise. 😎

Good to see you back. One effect I don't like to use often on a synth sound/saw is chorus. I find it dulls the sound/loses all it's definition. I sometimes use a chorus plugin on percussion to smooth it out to fit in a mix better but that's about it. Never been a fan of chorus to improve a sound. I think chorus works better if you use less unison and detune

Chorus is your friend, especially on the JP8000, really depends on the settings. But frozen chorus can work wonders for width.

I found this very helpful. I'm hoping to get back in to making music and this is the type of music I'd like to do. Is Diva Good vst for trance?

Did you end up getting Diva? I find it is really good at thick, warm layers for leads, mid-bass, and sometimes pads. I don't think it's as good as Serum or Vital for highly modulated sounds though. Different tools for different objectives.

Great video, but you need to show a preview of the sound you're going to be making at the head of the video so people know whether it's something they're interested in or not. Instead, I have to skip to the end to hear the final sound and decide if I want to spend 15 mins following this or not.

Please, if you would make these sounds in VITAL!
