Don't tell him there's a Live acoustic version. "5 man acoustical jam" is one of my all time favourite albums.
they fucking crush it during that show. it's the best version of this song for sure
@@cellamuert I love that Record, got it on Vinyl from when it was released.
I met the drummer in Walmart a few weeks ago. He liked my youngest daughter’s personality so much he bought her a toy. Stood and talked for about 5 minutes. Hell of a nice guy
Two things about this.... 1. Omg I would never expect to meet someone like the drummer fir Tesla or any band that has/had some clout in Walmart period. 2. That is so incredibly awesome that he stopped to talk and bought your daughter a gift. Take away, note to self; don't go to Walmart looking like a troll just Incase. 🤣😅😬
Troy is a professing Christian who does a lot of charity work. I love the guy.
Hahaha....funny my brother chatted with Jeff in a Walmart a few years ago in Rocklin, CA. These dudes have always been way laid back. We grew up in the same neighborhood and watched them in the City Kid days.
That's awesome. It's always cool hearing stories like that.
I got to meet them in '88 when they toured with Def Leppard. They're all cool guys.
Love the 1980s best times for me and best music 🎶🎶
Truly one of the great songs of the 80’s
My husband proposed to this song. 24 years after our wedding, he lost his battle with brain cancer, and this song was playing when he crossed. "Love is all around you. Love is knocking outside your door. Waiting for you is this love made just for two"
Sorry sweetie for your loss
Losing a spouse is hard especially when children are involved so prayers for you
Sorry for your loss, I lost my wife 2 years ago. Very tough
Thank you for sharing this with us. Your inspiration is an inspiration. Much love.
That's one of the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. I'm sorry for your loss
Too busy crying to reply……sorry my girl
Brad is right. It's a beautiful song.
Tesla really should be talked about way more often than they are. They’re one of the most talented groups to ever play together.
Agreed. So many great songs.
Tesla seems to evoke strong emotions, you either love them or hate them. Personally, 5 Man Acoustical Jam is always on my 'required albums when stranded on a desert island' list, but know plenty who absolutely hate them. No accounting for taste!
They weren't too bad...
Bloodhound gang thinks this ...hmmmm wordy
Yes. This band is highly underrated.
You HAVE to watch the official videos to these songs. Being a teen in the 80s was glorious. Getting to see all these bands live was an amazing experience.
no doubt. The videos made these songs so memorable
The 80’s were awesome 🤘
One of the most beautiful ballads ever composed. Tesla is among the most underrated bands of all time, and Frank Hannon never gets the recognition he deserves as a guitarist.
I remember seeing them years back and just being so mesmerized watching frank shred 🤙🏼
Frank is badass on the guitar and a genuine nice guy.
First of all all rock roll music has electric guitars. And Spoon man was all about Heroin. Not eating from your hands.
I love Jeff and Frank awesome!!
Wow smoke much crack?? They literally only have 2or 3 songs worth a crap🤦♂️
The sound is called...Making the Guiter cry!!!
Tesla is VERY underrated. Not the typical hair band.
Tesla was never a hair band, straight rock n roll
Nothing better than Tesla live... hundreds ..or thousands of drunk people hugging and singing along ... beautiful thing.... summer nights...TESLA....awesome
Tesla was like the antidote to the LA hair bands of that era. All about the music, not the image, and a country and blues influence that set them apart from a lot of contemporary "metal" bands.
Exactly. All about the music
Hmmm well said. Very true
Sadly, they were often lumped in with those yahoos.
ehh not at all. They were definitely another hair band. More talent... yes. But lets be honest the antidote was coming just a year later with Nirvana and Pearl Jam
the antidote to LA hair bands was GUNS N' ROSES
One of the best songs and bands your ears will ever hear!
Tesla- Paradise.
I walked down the aisle to two guitarists playing the opening of this song. So utterly gorgeous!
One of the best bands of the period. Tesla's guitar work is off the charts.
TESLA is a severely underrated band. The lyrics and sheer musical talent are what separates them from most of the other bands during their era. TESLA is one of my favorite bands of all time.
VERY underrated!
Tesla is one of the most outstanding bands of all time . Frank hannon is one of the greatest guitarist to ever grace the planet .
He played a club I worked in about 15 years ago called Ecks Saloon. He was down to earth and treated the staff with respect. I was very impressed with his humility and kindness.
dude. you must not play guitar. or you're tone deaf/not musical (it's ok...i suck at basketball)
I have always loved Tesla. Positive vibes and lyrics. 35 year fan here 👍
Brad is just memorized by this band and the lyrics and Lex just has the cutest stinky face I have ever seen. This two are my favorite reaction couple.
Tesla has just always been able to find a way to write such sincere and beautiful melodies.
Music comes from the heart. Both good and bad.
It's okay Brad. Go ahead and let those emotions flow. You two really seem to have a great time being together. Really great to see.
Yeah, until she cheats on him with his friends
@@danielbarfield3407 Unless you are seeing something I'm not, I don't see that happening.
Nothing wrong with letting the tears flow when the heart is hit. Its wrong when the tears are hidden.
Bryan Adams Everything I Do gets my heart a thumping.
@@michaelreeder9931 no one ever sees it coming, until it hits u in the face
Wow...memories. brings me back to 1991 Malmstrom AFB out drinking at the bars. After copious pitchers of beer and countless games of pool. Someone would always kick this song off in the bar , literally the entire bar filled would sing this song.....❤
🫡 🎶
So glad they reacted to the WHOLE song, and not just the shorted video one.
This is apocryphal rock and roll. Tesla has been criminally underrated and ignored. They have opened for Def Leppard for probably 20 years.
When I was younger I bought their album Mechanical Resonance on cassette on a whim and ended up breaking it I played it so much. Love the reactions. Real people. Keep it up.
Did the EXACT same thing. Great album.
I remember seeing the video for Modern Day Cowboy when it first came out and went and bought Mechanical Resonance that weekend
That is a great album!
One of the most underrated bands ever. Seen them at least 5 times, when skmd of them formed Bar 7, seen them twice. Outstanding!!
Yep! To all of your comments!
My wife walked down the aisle to the intro of the song.
SICK!! KEEPER!
Brad,... you are now officaily my reaction hero. One of the reasons I purchased my first guitar was due to Tesla, my third guitar was directly inspired by them.
Check out "It's gettin' better",... I've been in and out of clinics almost a dozen times and a US Army veteran with more than a quarter of century service. That song has guided me from some very dark places,... it's also the first song I ever learned to play in it's entirety.
Thank you for your service. 💯
I remember listening to a live version of this song back in 1993. I was in my 1987 blue Mazda 626. I was being kicked out of my house, I was moving 700 miles away and thinking about a girl I liked. It was dark summer month and i was the only person sitting in this state park. Memories.
Figured Lex would like this but hearing Brad talk about good guitar work and nearly being brought to tears (?) was a pleasant surprise. Modern Day Cowboy, Heaven's Trail (No Way Out), or Little Suzi are some rockers. Very underrated band in my opinion.
That whole great radio controversy album was the shit back in the day not a filler song on the whole album
HUGE SURPRISE!
Strong men also cry. STRONG MEN....ALSO cry.
@@Gekokujo76very true!
Didn't seem like he was crying
Gen X here. One of the best love songs of the 80's for sure!
Tesla is amazing!
Ah, yes, the perfect 80's power ballad! The 80's had a LOT of great power ballads.
The 80s had a lot of great EVERYTHING, MUSIC, MOVIES and TV SHOWS! DAMN I miss that decade. We were so lucky to be alive back then,
At 49 years old, I've seen close to 1000 concerts in my life. No joke.
One of the first 10 was Tesla on the 5 Man Acoustical Jam tour.
It still holds up, almost 30 years later.
My best live album ever heard....it open the door for the unpluged ones...
It was an honor to be in Sacramento for the rise of Tesla 🤘❤️ the 80s rocked!! 😁
Born and raised in Sacramento, gotta give it up to pat Martin from 98 Rock big part of why they are still going today
@@jasonheath143 Pat Martin, 👍. Remember when 98 rock was 93 rock, and when KZAP ruled ❤️
Usually hard to tell if Brad likes or dislikes a song but can kinda tell when it hits his feels lol
Appreciate you two, keep killing it! One Love
Tesla's, "What You Give," is another classic of theirs. Great mix of acoustic and electric guitars!
Amazing song. One of my favorites.
My older brother passed away of cancer!!!!
Loved these guy's!!¡!!!! Good to hear it,and other cultures listening and enjoying!!!❤️
Thanks guy's!( Made my day!)
Yes finally some Tesla!! Tesla is one of my all-time favorite band ever, so underrated it's a shame, keep on going on the Tesla train they have many many great songs. Here's some songs : Call It What You Want, Edison's Medicine, What You Give, Hang Tough, Modern Day Cowboy, Little Suzi, Gettin' Better, We're Not Good Together, Heaven's Trail (no way out), Don't De-Rock Me, Try So Hard.
Not underrated. Mediocre at best
@@johnphillipsjr7238 sorry for your loss
I hope their relationship is as pure as it looks. They truly seem to compliment eachother in a way that few people experience these days.
This song never runs out of gas, and drives itself.
The great songs stand the test of time
Their greatest song is “WHAT YOU GIVE.”. The lead singer wrote it about his dog, who had just passed away…. If you love animals, you will love it !!!!!
One of my all time favorite songs!!!
I absolutely love that song!! I had no idea that it was about his dog……
Interesting. I’ll have to go listen to it again, from THAT perspective!
Skip the video, it’s been cut up. Studio version only.
Edison's Medicine. Signs... I Freaking Love Tesla 💞🎸💕
@@sodone1843 This is one of their best songs
I just love Lex. What a great personality. I love how she explains what she is feeling. She has an older soul. Iam 66 and havent seen some one express themselves so articuetly in many years, love that.
My first concert was Firehouse opening for TESLA!!!!! Johnson City ,TN 1991.
INCREDIBLE!!!!
You guys really are such a great couple. I love watching Lex literally feel the music and Brad, you are a big softie at heart ❤️
You two are awesome, your honesty, quirkiness, I respect how you just own it.
You're a good guy Brad. I get frustrated that ppl give you shit sometimes. I'VE given you shit a time or two. But I know you're a good guy, And your dynamic with Lex is awesome
The start of this song is what really made me want to play guitar. Love Tesla, great licks
You two remind Me of what it was like to be young and in love in America during the 80s . Keep Rocking. Keep Loving.
One of the coolest and nicest bands I have ever met. Glad to see them getting some love.
This is from my parent's era and I remember it coming on the radio as a kid. They would say it was one of "their songs" since high school. Unfortunately, my parents are split up now. Listening to this again was harder than I thought it would be...
It's got a lot of painfully sweet memories for me as well. Peace to you. 💜💚💛✌️
Your parents are younger than I am
Don't front, Brad - shed those tears and own your sensitive side! And Lex, you're rocking out the whole time! You're clearly a rock chick waiting to happen! Love you guys, keep posting...
Check out ‘Signs’ from the Five Man Acoustical Jam album. You won’t be disappointed.
I definitely like Tesla's version better then the original
Preach
Great Song!! The music video for the was shot live at Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA. I happen to be going to Cal Expo today for a Country music festival.
"What you Give" is another good one from them.
Brad is gonna need a tissue box if he hears that song! My favorite Tesla song.
I don’t know how Tesla was ever considered underrated? They were one of the best 80’s bands out there with great lyrics and musicianship!!
Underrated because they never became a headlining band, always an opener...but imo Top 5 band of the 80s
One of the most underrated bands ever, in my opinion ❤️
Frank Hannon is was of the best guitarist ever!! Very underrated
You’re exactly right Stephanie.
It's amazing how music can move you and touch your soul...
The changes, dynamics and pace make it a perfect power ballade.
I grew up two streets over from these guys. I was in second grade we were not allowed on their driveway. They were practicing.
I feature them in a Sturgis video, live 2022. 🤜🤛
I really like your channel !
you guys are so perfect for each other. I know you know Brad you are a lucky man and Lex you have the right guy. make it last forever. ❤️
I'm pretty sure I've already landed a comment on this vid, seeing as its been posted over a year ago, but it popped back up tonight in the YooToob algorithm and Brad... don't feel bad nor apologize for getting emotional. There's no shame in that. Feel it, brother. This song hits all the right notes for it. It is a truly beautiful song and if you don't feel a little emotional about it, then yr not human. It's a brilliant love song. Tesla (the band) were a HUGELY under-rated during their time. They fell in to the "hair-metal" category by no fault of their own. They weren't "Hair Metal." They actually had a real voice.
Five Man Acoustic Jam is a great record that is worth exploring.
I never heard that song or that group before. I loved it! The guitar playing was amazing.
Look for coming at you live video.
Same. Im glad i did.
Finally someone reacted to the full song with the amazing acoustic intro. Little Suzi has a great intro too.
Tesla first 4 albums (3 studio and 1 Live) were simply amazing. A vastly underrated band at the end of the 80s Hair Metal era.
the acustic intro is what my wife walked down the Isle to at our wedding
Tesla "Song and Emotion"
Yes!
TESLA ...1 of the best bands of the 80s!!! Awesome in concert!! Rock music ruled the 80s..&i lived thru it lol...big party!!🙂🙂
Has to be the simplest love song lyrically. But still has a greet emotional impart.
The simpler the truth, the deeper it cuts
it's all about that Chorus THE HOOK!
Y’all gotta be my favorite couple on RUclips.
This is the first time I have heard this song, and it brought tears to my eyes as well, you two are brilliant
I've loved this song since I first heard it in the 90s when a group of kids from school played the opening part during a talent show. One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
I remember when Tesla came out , and all the guitar dudes trying to learn the songs. Tesla is a great band , and I definitely have a soft spot for them forever!
I’ve loved this song for ages, but was just recently introduced to this channel. Love you, Brad and Lex! You rock! ❤😊
Great song by a great band. Saw these guys a couple Years ago. They still sound as they did back in the day.
I grew up listening to Tesla. Amazing songs
This is one of my favourites from back in the day. I was a senior in high school when this song was released--it is still as good to-day as it was back then!
You guys are so awesome. You're one of those couples that you look at and say " they look great together". Y'all ARE a beautiful couple.
The secret to this song's success, I just realized, is the singer's cadence. He really delays the phrases well, if that makes any sense. One of the better efforts of the obligatory hair metal power ballads, if not the best. I always liked Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue, though.
Absolutely, my favorite song by Tesla!! God, I remember going to all these concerts back in the day and you got enough money together to buy your ticket and a t-shirt.
Nice. I used to play this on the guitar and my daughter and I would harmonize. They did a good remake of the five man electrical jam song “signs” also.
Don't ever be afraid to show your vulnerability, Brad. Thats a POSITIVE!! If I was sitting next to that beautiful woman, listening to this song, I'd have to wrap my arms around her and tell tell her I love her!!
Okay, I was beginning to watch this channel just for Lex, but then Brad redeemed himself by feeling the music & the guitar work.
Tesla is one band that still Rock's to this day seen them many times love my 80's hairbands!
One of the top 5 rock ballads of the 80s. Jeff Keiths voices is awesome and he still has it for the most part.
The beginning of this song was inspired by Randy Rhoads acoustical called Dee on the Blizzard Of Ozz album.
Tesla.... One of the most underrated bands. Rude Dave can sure play a guitar y'all. This is one of my many favorites
I remember the first time I heard this played live and you could feel the energy wrapped in pain. It was and still always be powerful.
Criminally underrated band. Awesome live band too. Always great.
Wow. Brad, my man. That one got you. It's ok. It's a great song with a great message. I was in New Orleans a couple of years ago and these street artists had their paintings on display and I was checking them all out. I got to this one artist display and it was Louis Armstrong playing his sax. I just stared at it and all of a sudden I felt the artist's painting and got all choked up and felt tears running down my face. It was the first time a painting has done that to me. It was truly moving. Love you guys channel by the way.
Tesla has a big catalog of music going back into the 80’s. Love your reactions to some of these wonderful songs
"Edison's Medicine " and "Modern Day Cowboy" are two of my favorite songs from a criminally underappreciated band.
Love Modern Day Cowboy
Totally agree. Tesla and Scorpions were in a league of their own.
Tesla's We're No Good Together gets me every time. ♥️
Modern Day Cowboy rocks.
I'm so into this band now! Thanks couch-gang, for discovering them for me!
That is the very first guitar solo I ever learned frm beginning to end, note for note.
Brad don’t lie, it was hot in Clearwater that day and your eyes were sweating, that’s it. Ha. Great song to just to kick back to.
One of the best Live Acts still touring from the 80s era. Love Tesla and Jeff Keith!!! 🤘🏻
The live unplugged version is a must!
I got emotional the first time I heard Tesla, I feel you Brad
I've always loved this song (and Tesla). It's like a sunrise after a very long, very bad, eventful night... You're worn out, broken, but you step outside to see the sun rise just over the horizon in the cool air of a new day, and maybe a new life, and despite everything you feel a little hopeful as your lips curve into a little smile...
Brad I love that you can show emotion like that. U are a real man my friend.
