    We used to play in the empty corn fields my neighbors had behind our house. Did it all throughout dry season and just before the start of the rainy season and we never minded those sharp stumps or rocks in that type of playground.
    Seeing images of this modern technology gives me a strange feeling by acknowledging the abysmal differences between cultures and regions , but regardless of the times and places all in the world, what brings MOST of all humans together is our love for the beautiful game....
    Something that other sports can't accomplish.

      Well said my friend! Any sport that is practiced on natural grass is really the best way to get people together and enjoy. However, the demand of playing hours has increased in the past 20 years and it's not possible to play many hours on straight natural grass and when some prefer synthetic turf they compromise their safety and the environmental impact. POWERgrass hybrid system is designed for ordinary people who wish to play many hours on grass safely. At the same time it's the only system that has a positive environmental impact because by regerative agriculture you can sequester carbon and reduce the fine powders protecting your lungs.

      Compared with only natural grass, POWERgrass offers greater stability and uniform surface with no divots, sufficient hours to play in most sports centres and reduced maintenance;
      Compared to only synthetic turf, POWERgrass offers greater playing comfort, better traction to reduce injuries, falls and abrasions during falls;
      Compared to other hybrid systems, POWERgrass offers softer surface, faster grass establishment and recovery, reduced maintenance and playable surface also without grass;
      Compared to all others grass surfaces, POWERgrass offers savings to investors, flexibility to contractors and simplify natural grass care for groundsmen.

      To mow less we advise to practice the regerative agriculture method and cut nitrogen to 50%. This is easy by using clean water, and liquid products with minerals with acid pH, igroscopic, Aminoacids, sugars, humic substances and alghae, mow regularly and aerate often depending on the frequency of play, but without pain there is no gain.

    Hello, I have a question about hybrid grass.
    I know that the advantage of hybrid grass is that divots are less likely to occur compared to natural grass as artificial files and natural grass roots become entangled and grow. Is that right?
    And I understand that artificial files are vertically erected by verticutting and raking when maintaining them. Is there any other way?
    And as time goes by, artificial files will lie down due to the thach of natural grass, so how do you deal with it? Of course, it should continue to be erected through the verticutting, but isn't it natural that artificial files are buried by thach?

    • @NikoSarris
      @NikoSarris  2 года назад +4

      Divots do not occur as a results of roots anchoring on the backing and, because the fibres are protruding on the surface, they do not allow the player to scalp the grass. Frequent raking will keep thatch under control during the season and raise the fibres that are already very strong and resilient.
      However, with time, deposits of loess will occur, depending on the weather conditions, therefore when the fibres start to get buried, the grass must be removed together with the organic soil in excess (loess with thatch), untill free fibre of about 25 mm protrudes again and then seed over again ex novo. That operation, is called returfing and must be scheduled every 2-3 years; it takes one week of work and 4 weeks of growth before starting to play again on the new grass. Hello Andrew, the mow of natural Gras is done above the fibres height that are protruding 20 mm above the ground for spots like soccer or football. You must adjust properly the mower.
      Natural grass crowns are reinforced from the fibres but also roots are very well anchored on the backing and also protected from heat and cold stress from the backing. Natural grass will cover 97% of the area, therefore will also protect fibres from wear and especially against Uv-b rays reducing significantly fibres aging.

      When it's raining players will appreciate even more its characteristics because the surface is highly draining and less slippery compared to any other surface. Because of the presence of the hybrid carpet the water will penetrate quicker also because the compaction below the backing is limited; the roots are well anchored on the backing and aeration is possible every 30 hours of play with the simple pass of a roller with pins to penetrate 35-40 mm of the top soil. If growth and drainage layers are made according to USGA norms it's unlike to see standing water on the surface.

    Astro turf meets live grass. Gonna have to tear that out every 3 or so years..depending the use... If it's outdoors maybe sooner... Yep... Unless someone has envented a product that transcends natural evolution... Cause that live grass will slowly consume that artificial stuff in a weird way... And there's only so much artificial stuff actually there.. But completly removing the clippings would slow that process.. It would give no ear to the others presents.. The one would grow the other sit.. But the water involved will cause the artificial to slowly come apart... The peices break down the grass utilizes it as fertilizer... Under foot it would lose it's stiff... The artificial stuff... Comes undone... Too... Turf shoes would definitely do the new school pool service a fave... Comparitvely is like allot of work considering a live or artificial field..an artificial field well cared for doesn't last that long. Live fields prepared well last forever. But per today's needs for stadiums ..so many different teams and game layouts... I see how the stuff can be very handy... Hope it's reasonably priced... But if your seeding carpet with the artificial stuff woven in is of a durable kind... Roll it up every season..recycle it. Interesting yep...

    • @NikoSarris
      @NikoSarris  4 года назад +2

      Hello Bradley, thanks for your long comment. So far we have noticed the artificial grass does not get damaged from grass or water and not even from the sun or from intensive play. Instead, it helps natural grass thrive during the first growing period but also against heat and frost stress because the backing provides an isolations effect to the roots. Roots are well ancorare and resist to much higher tearing from players and grass crowns are protected from the fibres. During the winter if you play intensively and there is no growth to recover you may loose many of grass leaves but you can count of the artificial fibres and go on playing. In spring the crowns that are protected between the fibres will produce new buds and here you see new growth and that depends on how you fertilize your grass in fall.
      Using the regenerative agriculture concept you get better growth and will provide a positive environmental impact. The price is similar to high profile artificial grass but it depends if you have good quality of sand near to the pitch area. You must make reduced but constant maintenance but in turn you can expect more than double life span and saving from 30-50% all in.

    Is there even a demand for such an effort? Professional clubs want to use their fields as soon as possible. 4 weeks is quite a long time. Also I don't think that 4 weeks is enough to have strong grass roots. Natural good quality rolled sod has to grow for two years before harvest. Also I saw the Türkiye Kupası final, where it has the same idea (not sure if same brand), but it looks pretty slippery.
    Back to the effort. Small Football clubs will use the normal FIFA-Approved artificial turf instead of this. Is there even a professional football team which uses this type of turf?

    • @NikoSarris
      @NikoSarris  3 года назад +2

      Knowledge is something you can acquire with experience and study and you need time also but it takes a lot of efforts and investments but stupidity is free for ever and you don't need any energy. We appreciate your opinion but maybe you didn't see in the video the Profesional stadium that already use our system since 2017.
      But just for the records, there are already many professional clubs to play on hybrid pitches and many groundsmen that grow grass in 4 weeks but this is a very restricted market and information are not easily at disposal for those that have an opinion without a research.

      @@NikoSarris it think it's a shame. playing football on grass is just how it should be played. we shouldnt find new ways to keep using plastic. i think staying natural is the best way forward.

      @@hassanalialqadiri I agree with you that football should be played on natural grass but this only for 6 hours a week. It is about 30 years we are trying to reinforce natural grass with plastic materials and most of those systems do not exceed the 10 hours of play per week without worning out natural grass. Natural grass cannot provide intensive play, all year around and, for that reason, the market has moved into the direction of synthetic pitches. To get the benefits of both worlds we have developed POWERgrass system and the feedback is very positive as most of our customers play 25 hours per week on natural grass and the maintenace costs are low as we don't have any divots. The players have the opportunity to play and train on the same pitch improving performance and security. The market is quite excited about hybrid systems and this is the way we imagine the future. We believe we have just designed the best of it.

      @@NikoSarris fair enough. i feel as though that it has it's purpose but for pitches that are not used for 10 hours a week, natural grass is the way to go
