I worked in a astro turf factory from 2005 to 2009 in a "grass factory" that in a neighboring town as a material handler and sometimes as a machine operator. Our factory did the first part of the operation of making the product and twisting the yarn and then it was sent to Chattsworth, Ga. to make the final product.

This is the most poluting product. In case the mats wear out and are discarded they are stored at remote places and not recycled. This a very problematic issue around the world. Most people turn their heads away to this problem but it's growing and growing.

Please Stop unnecessary Plastic production. There are way too many negatives from artificial turf that is hard or impossible to recycle and just ends up as more landfill. They are all based on highly processed Fossil Fuels that are toxic and wasteful in so many ways. Replacing the natural with artificial is a DEAD End process. Huge Carbon emissions, Huge Microfibre pollution, terrible smell and feel. Ever had a plastic turf burn? It’s not very pleasant, lasts over a week. Ever realised the consequences of deep breathing over fields of plastic, can’t be good for our finely balanced human body that is all based on NATURE. It’s another colossal Fossil industry Con-Job. Please rally against it for Natures benefit.
