I love the videos, I especially like the paying customers. They all seem to like your work and you very much. What's better about you is your knowledge skill set your not just a plumber your an electrician and a gas fixer as well which means no waiting around for other tradesmen to do their stuff, you do it all. And then there's the dog she is just so relaxed and placid. As for the way you treat your chickens, in winter, for example, you provide an expensive electric heater to keep them all warm all day long. Next is the car it's just beautiful, you have an eclectic range of hobbies my friend which shows your talents to perfection. Love the work, the videos, and all the information about yourself you share with us all. Your customers seem to be pals and not just paying customers.
In the video, you mentioned that the boiler system had glycol in it. Are you able just to drain glycol down the driveway like that? Is it glycol really just antifreeze?
I like the work you did for the old-timer. I would have changed those smoke detector batteries. No matter if you bill him for it. Hopefully, a responsible adult (kids) will visit soon and do it for him. Just getting back on your feet can suck.
I’m gonna assume that wasn’t a “Taj Mahal”, hence no need to protect the tile and grout lines prior to banging the crap out of it and dripping nasty juice all over it.
Steve those fitting use to be called wirsbo heat pex which is now expandable uponor pex great video from another Massachusetts plumber here in central ma
Great video Steve love your content. Just one constructive criticism would be to use a brush to clean up a little before putting in the plinth heater lots of fluff left behind there, only takes a minute, also perhaps use a dust sheet on the floor even though it's tiled.
I like to solder and the looks of it. However, it's a major PITA and takes a ton of time. You can propress type-m copper using a stiffener brass inserts. I'm almost at a point where Im going to make a leap and get propress setup. Propress fittings used to be very expensive compared to the regular sweat fittings, but now the price is almost the same.
I would have cleaned and reused the old section of heating element. There was nothing wrong with it and it's hidden behind the baseboard cover. You can buy dummy baseboard without the element.
Back in The 1980's My Mom wanted a Chrysler K Car. It was supposed to be a Brand New Car and The Radiator looked like it had Swamp Water in it, but they bought it anyway and it wasn't long until the Radiator Clogged up and it started overheating, plus it ran terrible and tried to kill because it had Defective engines and Brakes.
My grandfather has. 74LTD He replaced it with a new reliant. He made fun of it saying that it picked up its feet when going over bumps. It was a piece. It did run for many years
This is exactly like my baseboard. Pee splashes out of the toilet and right onto the radiator in the baseboard. Got a feeling I will need this work done soon too.
That answers won of my questions about the boilers, that you drain them 5, 6 years. I have an electric base board heater with the fins. ha Wish I had one! :) Another life, different geography.
Can hear the smoke alarm low battery chirping at a lot of your customers'. I assume they can't hear it. Another thing to look forward to when I get older I guess.
Hey Steve - beware, the shingles shots. I shivered so bad the night I got that shot I almost peed on my baseboard which is behind me in the bathroom. I am amazed at how many places you work that have cheating smoke detectors. What do you think of those new plastic baseboard covers?
That's what I thought too but I figured as the tube was thin and glycol was old and acidic, Steve made the right call to make it all new to avoid a possible costly call back. But if I was doing a Joe Homeowner special, I would have hosed it off and reused it.
It was porcelain tile, hence the sound of the tools dragging across the tile Porcelain is pretty scratch-resistant, but a lot of the cheaper fireflazed tops can chip off easily at corners or grout lines.
About 12 or so years ago my ex-girlfriend was having her bathroom painted and that house was boiler heated and the baseboard readeator next to the toilet was all rusted so to save her a little money I sandblasted it and repainted it with rustoelum that matched exactly and still holding up to the piss 😁
Yup. Most new cars just leaving it until the manual says it needs replacement can result in permanent damage. Sure it lasts longer than it used to, but no way in hell I'm leaving it in my car 10 years.
A customer had the same problem so I shortened the baseboard, added an inside corner and added the length to the other wall. That got it away from the toilet.
Back in the 80’s, we use to charge $35 per gallon for Perlick glycol which is used in remote beer systems. That glycol was pink and had pump lubricants in it.
@@danaparish1644 Everything was small and transportable. He should have done this outside. Only necessary soldering is done in-house. If this is 40 years of experience then he learned it wrong.
the first beep from the smoke detector made me think it was one of mine😄😄
Elderly resident likely doesn't even hear it. :)
Same- sounded like our old ones, they had americium radioactive material inside of them though, more sensitive than our current optical sensors.
Oh crap my house is on fire. It can wait. Steve is on
you're obviously blyck
My kid just started to cry and asked for headphones because he was convinced it was one from his collection.
There's nothing like the smell of piss cooking on the baseboard heat, brings back memories of my childhood😂😂😂😂
Hahaha Hahaha

Plumbing, Heating and Rocket Science ........One Call Does it All !
😅
Hey Steve, that bread truck is one awful rattlebox.
In the video, you mentioned that the boiler system had glycol in it. Are you able just to drain glycol down the driveway like that? Is it glycol really just antifreeze?
Steve is sporting the "anti-asscrack" suspenders!😂
I had baseboard heat growing up. I can’t remember anytime peeing on it. Learn something every day lol
In a men's restroom at a highway rest area, I have seen an electric baseboard heater next to the toilet almost rotted out like Swiss cheese.
How do you stop a Train piss on the coils.
I like the work you did for the old-timer. I would have changed those smoke detector batteries. No matter if you bill him for it. Hopefully, a responsible adult (kids) will visit soon and do it for him. Just getting back on your feet can suck.
I've done that myself, sometimes a smoke detector battery, thermostat battery or even a light bulb in the cellar so I can see
Nice drive to that job,i miss those old back roads, nothing like new england😊
Truck and lettering looks very nice Steve !!
It needs to be a shirt.
I’m gonna assume that wasn’t a “Taj Mahal”, hence no need to protect the tile and grout lines prior to banging the crap out of it and dripping nasty juice all over it.
After watching his other videos I'm going to say I don't think he would care if it was
Steve keeps it real
As some signs used to read in the men's rooms: we aim to keep this place clean and your aim can help.
I've seen:
*_AIM HIGH_*
_AIR FORCE_
What is the best transfer pump to buy. ? Thanks Steve
Old guy Mentions the water leaking on the floor but nothing about the yrs of pissing in it hahaha
Cleaned & flushed my boiler 2 years ago!Great video Steve Hope he calls the cleaning lady to wash the walls
Great job Steve.

" Try that with a Propress" 😂
45:05 Steven's little spider friend comes to help
Wow, that 50-50 melts and flows really nice. What gas do you use Steve, propane, Mapp, or acetylene?
The hot one
@danwesten2771 Just curious what a pro uses and why.
That’s a propane B tank and he’s using a turbo torch
Great work Steven.
Just curious, is the glycol supposed to be diluted?
Great video Steve love your content.

Around me brass sweat drop ears are 2 buck more than brass pro press
I love my propress but sometimes trying to get the brass stiffeners in sucks
Steve asked the old timer if the 💊 he found was Viagra 😂😂😂
I thought that was hilarious too 😂😂😂
😂
I was hoping Steve would take one for the team and replace the old guys battery.
Do not believe you should have a protect cover for the tile floor to keep all the flux from drippings onto he tile floor
He needs a bigger toilet if his aim is not that good! Nice job Steve!
Rip that guys bathroom floor
I would have cleaned and reused the old section of heating element. There was nothing wrong with it and it's hidden behind the baseboard cover. You can buy dummy baseboard without the element.
Steve that job looked like a real Pissah of a job
Back in The 1980's My Mom wanted a Chrysler K Car. It was supposed to be a Brand New Car and The Radiator looked like it had Swamp Water in it, but they bought it anyway and it wasn't long until the Radiator Clogged up and it started overheating, plus it ran terrible and tried to kill because it had Defective engines and Brakes.
My Mom has always liked cars with a bench seat so that 6 people can ride in the car. That why She wanted it.
My grandfather has. 74LTD He replaced it with a new reliant. He made fun of it saying that it picked up its feet when going over bumps. It was a piece. It did run for many years
As usual, I came for the plumbing but stayed for Steve's commentary.
This is exactly like my baseboard. Pee splashes out of the toilet and right onto the radiator in the baseboard. Got a feeling I will need this work done soon too.
Have you tried putting the lid down
How do you pee through a lid? Do you have Bluetooth pee? I don't have that modification yet. Is it expensive?
@@Bunch007 🤣 I thought it splashed when flushing. That's funny though
It splashes when peeing.

I agree 100 percent, should be able to deal with everything as a plumber.

Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍. Lousy aim, lol
What's in that pee 🤣🤣
Should try pissing in the bowl once in a while 😂
Steven, where did you get that screw driver bit from? 🤔
Good Video Steven
Steve, the prop for heater coil is nothing but Quality Ma-Ma
Great video !!!! thanks
Steve, wouldn't it have been easier to install dummy baseboard and clean the old fin and tube and re- use it?
That's what I thought too but I figured as the tube was thin and glycol was old and acidic, Steve made the right call to make it all new to avoid a possible costly call back. But if I was doing a Joe Homeowner special, I would have hosed it off and reused it.
I got nervous when no protection was used on the bathroom floor, that vinyl can get damaged easily. But still a great job done.
It was porcelain tile, hence the sound of the tools dragging across the tile
Porcelain is pretty scratch-resistant, but a lot of the cheaper fireflazed tops can chip off easily at corners or grout lines.
Nice job mama!!!
Gave it the old Gandhi 👍
Nice job Steven, thanks for sharing!
Bill line item #1 battery and install to stop beeping!
Caved in the radiator on the second screw drive!🤣
That's on the old finned pipe
He's got a chirpa, momma!
About 12 or so years ago my ex-girlfriend was having her bathroom painted and that house was boiler heated and the baseboard readeator next to the toilet was all rusted so to save her a little money I sandblasted it and repainted it with rustoelum that matched exactly and still holding up to the piss 😁
Thanks for the 'shots'. Mucho gusto.
People think that they can leave it in their cars forever then their Radiator Clogs up or The Heater Core and they can't figure out what is wrong.
Yup. Most new cars just leaving it until the manual says it needs replacement can result in permanent damage. Sure it lasts longer than it used to, but no way in hell I'm leaving it in my car 10 years.
In almost every video that involves an elderly person , the carbon monoxide detector is chirping in the background. Must not hear it.
Laffed at title ....till i peed
now why wouldn't you cut and solder outside
Steve needs more than gloves for that job, how about a HazMat suit?
I can only hope to find a plumber like you near me
Hot pee pee must’ve been a stinker. I remember working maintenance in the public schools boys would pee in and on the radiators. 😩
Should have a tarp on that tile floor
Howdy Steve and Molly
Good work Steve. Are we going to be getting a 2023 thanksgiving cookout video?
I think we’re due for a cooking video Steve
Why do you wear gloves? I haven’t figured that out.
Dropping solider balls on someones tile doesn't seem right.
A customer had the same problem so I shortened the baseboard, added an inside corner and added the length to the other wall. That got it away from the toilet.
Bet those beeping smoke detectors are more than ten years old and in need of replacement.
good enough for this......
Hot water heat is nice but in Floriduh I don't have to deal with those expensive boilers anymore. Just have to deal with the idiots here.
That floor is a mess
Not legal for potable water, but used 50/50 for new shower. Fire risk, plus don’t drink that water.
Look at this video, not even a piece of cardboard on the floor . I’m glad I didn’t use him we would’ve had problems .
Stuff will slice ya its shaaarp
Why would you want to wear gloves?
Maybe add a service to replace smoke alarm batteries , that chirping would drive me crazy I dont know how people live with it
I thought I had a cricket in my wall for a long time.
Unfortunately it brings up a valid point for the elderly: He probably can’t hear the chirping 😢
$120/pail for antifreeze before markup
Back in the 80’s, we use to charge $35 per gallon for Perlick glycol which is used in remote beer systems. That glycol was pink and had pump lubricants in it.
👍🏼
Why is this guy doing the torch work inside?? He would Not be working for me that’s for sure!
Why is he using a torch? Because he’s a plumber/pipefitter with over 40 years experience….that’s why. He doesn’t use that “pro press” nonsense!
@@danaparish1644 Everything was small and transportable. He should have done this outside. Only necessary soldering is done in-house. If this is 40 years of experience then he learned it wrong.
If you ain;t sweating you ain't plumbing.
You got that right😅
Okay Mikey.
Hahaha is that a viagra?
It’s not sharp….its shahhp
He needs to sit down to pee. Nothing wrong with that
Take your gloves off and pro press it. Just kidding.
That has to be a blyck person home evident of beeping smoke detector
Looks like it needs a redesign of base boards!
shes a pissy one mamma
Try that with a pro press! Lol I've been 30 years without one and have no interest in getting one.
After yrs without a propress I finally got one and it's great for certain things
what is that?5g li q
I agree i cant stand propress
