I first heard this song when I was almost fifteen and it blew me away! I had to investigate REO's music and it made me a fan for life! Gary Richrath is my absolute favorite guitarist and even when I discovered metal that did not change! He deserves so much more credit!!! RIP, Gary, you are not forgotten!!!🎸

After all these years, when I listen to this song, I STILL remember how happy we were in the 1980´s.... tears in my eyes remembering just good songs made at that age...

there were definately some greats, but its worth pointing out alot of the great artists from 80s were making songs in some cases from early 60s or before, today you have artists cropping up that dont know crap except for a song that someone wrote for them. Not to insult todays music there are some good artists out there. But this is something people dont think of when they make the usual old music was better than now statement. Also, there was plenty, plenty of shitty music in the 80s too.

Funny story... I met my wife about 13-14 years ago. We became friends but annoyed the daylights out of eachother but always had and interest, the time was just never right. We lost touch for a couple years but reconnected a little over 4 years ago and started dating. Now we've been married nearly a year. She had 2 kids going in, I had 1, and we have our youngest together. Crazy how things work!

As a 22 year old in this generation I couldn't agree more that we have lost the love in the music and in everyday life! This song perfectly describes how I feel about someone I have known for a long time. Infact a good handfull of their songs do just the same as do over 120 other songs from this time! I wish my generation would wake up and see that without the love we will never get far with anything!

it's hard to find good music such as this one now compare to the 70's & 80's..for me i still think those days are still & will always be the golden days of pop music.

You're a lot luckier than some people, then, and you appreciate the beauty of what you have. Not everyone will agree that what you have is really much, but you have a treasure many people have trouble truly appreciating.
Congratulations on 25 years (and counting) of happy memories you and your beloved have shared. I still hope I can get as lucky as you someday.

One of the greats in a not great decade of music. This video is so much better than the other awful, robotic one, which is barely watchable. Good stuff.

They sure had a lot of killer songs but this probably launched them into the top 40 fame of the 80's and still is played today...go REO ! it is a shame the direction of this soft rock music caused so much friction to some, namely Gary, in the band...soft rock ballads commanded all at that time! Their rock n roll songs were awesome..but this song was so very big for them.

I am born in the 90's but I love 80's music more than the music now.
I imagine back then everything was simple and no technological gizmos, no worries, when pop was pure and honest.
