I still watch all your new videos and rewatch your old ones even though I am pretty comfortable speaking Spanish with native speakers. It just helps me continue to strengthen my ability to speak and hear Spanish. I was rooting for the subjunctive to appear in the video. I knew you wouldn’t let me down. I bet you have some great stories from your time in law enforcement. By the way, thank you for your service to your community. Te deseo a ti y a Linda todo lo mejor.
The subjunctive triggers are a very nice way to think about it seeing how hard the use case for it is to put into exact terms. One way however that I have still come to enjoy thinking about it is that since the indicative is indicating something actually tangibly happening in time then if the verb isn't factually happening in time (or operating conditionally) the subjunctive gets activated. It falls in line with the WEIRDO mnemonic of the subjunctive but looks at it a from a different angle that is just one yes/no determination. I like it because it works with expressions like "lo importante es que" which can utilize either conjugation and change the sentiment.
Great video! As for me, I have so much trouble thinking of words in English, it has stopped bothering me that I can't remember words in Spanish either 😅 I just take the time I need, nobody cares ❤
Appreciate you! I had to take a break. Was pretty frustrated listened to lessons 1 thru 7 about 200 times. Not sure if it stuck or not, find back thru them all again. I just listen while driving to work
I've been working with Pimsleur Spanish. I wish they would use complete sentences more. I'm also using Lingopie, and I'm making a list of phrases that I often use. Wish me luck
This was the first time I’ve seen him actually look like he was drinking some coffee! Many times he just has the cup and doesn’t drink!! 😝 Maybe he has found a way to cut down on coffee 😂
A good metaphor for learning a language is Ping Pong. You need to have 20 or 30 sentence starters that you can respond with almost instantly. (a former Peace Corps volunteer)
Do you have a video that explains your skool crew course in more detail? I'm very interested but the webpage has no information on the content. Thanks.
I recently found a book “Learning Another Language Through Actions” by James J. Asher. I haven’t had time to dig into it, but if you’ve heard of it, what do you think?

¡Gracias por estas explicaciones! Mi jefa, que es de El Salvador, ha notado mejoras en mi español. Me anima mucho.

From my study of Latin, I understand that the verb was originally a noun. So, think of the infinitive as a noun…which it is, functionally.
That's something I realized when I started Japanese. Its equivalents of the infinitive also behave as nouns

No, but I really should make one.

I'm not familiar with it.
@@QrooSpanish I’m busy painting my house before winter kicks in here in Ohio. After I have read it, I’ll get back with you if it works for me.
Just knew the equivalent of instead in spanish today. “EN VEZ” I’m a filipino and instead is “imbes” in tagalog 😂
