- The Laos- China railway, Boten-Vientiane railway or Lao Section of China-Laos Railway is a 422-kilometre (262 mi) electrified railway in Laos 🇱🇦, running between the capital Vientiane and the town of Boten on the border with Yunnan, China. The line was officially opened on 3 December 2021.The line's northern end is connected to the Chinese rail system in Mohan, through the Yuxi Mohan. The railway ends at Vientiane south cargo station. The Boten-Vientiane railway is an integral section of the central line on the Kunming _ Singapore railway and was constructed as part of the Belt and Road initiative.

The ticket salesmen and conductors of the Laos-China Railway Company are all Laotians, but they can speak Chinese. Don't take it for granted that the people who speak Chinese are came from China.老中铁路公司车票销售员、列车员都是老挝人，只不过会说中文。不要想当然认为会说中文的就是中国人

@@chung388 老挝语是小语种中的小语种，会老挝语中国人不可能做售票员（Laotian is a minor language among minor languages in china . It is impossible for a Chinese to be a conductor if he knows Laotian）

You can take a bus from the bus station 300 meters west of the Vientiane Central to Vientiane Railway Station. No. 35 and 28 go to the railway station, 13,000 Lao kip per person
