After watching through the window at my dealership, I will not have my bike serviced at that dealer again! (NOT wildcat) They charged me $400.00 and it was nothing at all like this. less than half an hour and no torque wrenches used at all. Did not remove the seat to check battery, did not check fluids other than the 3, and white lube sprayed all over everything. Oily hand print on the seat, overfilled the primary and left oil on the motor from pulling the filter. The manager tried to flex on me and I said "NEVER AGAIN!". I heard the dealer is shut down now!!! I do all of my own now.

I like how he didn’t even say check the belt deflection which is one of the more important things to check on a 1000mile service…..

I was just quoted 620$ for the first 1k on my 23 Sportster S like wtf are you guys doing it’s a oil change and making sure everything is straight looking and touching a few things around the bike, if your a certified Harly tech this should take you no time no more than an hour an half or so like ridiculous debating on just paying 100 for the kit and doing it myself. Or biting the bullet and paying for this first service and do all oil changes after but man I just need it to make sense like someone make it make sense to me please

I was just quoted $476 for the 1k mile service on my 2022 Harley 883... I was disgusted to say the least, so I said I would just do it myself... the tech said I would void the warranty if I did... I said that's fine and Harley just lost a customer.... I will tell everyone I know who is considering buying a motorcycle to stay away from Harley...

I was stupid enough to „prepay“ the first service when I bought my Street Bob. An outrageous amount of money and thinking back VW included the first service when I bought my car.
What I prepaid is simply outrageous. It’ll be the only service I get from that dealer. Short term profit over winning a long term customer.

My dealership wants $750 due to the "economy". I tried so hard not to say: Kiss my ass. Buying a service manual, all my fluids, several tool, quality of life items, and will still save $400.

1000k miles, 1st service on Brand New 21 Street glide was quoted $550.00 to $650.00,
I wad like WTF? Can I do it myself and not void my warranty? That's outrageous 😳

Ive bought 2 news Harleys in the last 8 years, Ive gotten them to throw in the 1st service each time. Thank god. If not id just buy a used bike lol. Its too soon to buying the bike to have to put down that kind of money

Yeah you might want a second opinion on your brake fluid flush at 1 k. Never heard of mechanics ripping people off? I myself am a mechanic since 1987 A Master Automotive L1 tech, I dont rip people off. Their is no way a motorcycle or car needs a brake flush at one thousand miles period. My guess here Harley bought some defective brake fluid checkers. This is the second video I seen and commented about contaminated brake fluid on a Harley. Mines in for its 1k service. Hopefully they tell me it needs a flush I will bring my automotive brake fluid checker in and correct their ways.
