- Thank you Savannah Harley Davidson management and marketing team for allowing me to record my first 1000 mile service.
Also the Master Tech Hooks for the great service.
You at Savannah Harley davidson was there last weekend bike event. Nice people
Me too. It was packed out there. I think Rare Breed was having a function.
@@projektxent yes they did
I can’t thank you enough for this brother. I’ve been curious about why it costs $300
lol ridiculous price for that easy stuff
@@Voltomess $300? Wow my dealer asks for $560 for my road glide!!!!
@@peterpark9143 My god what a stealer
@@peterpark9143 yup over $500 at my dealer as well. That’s why I do my own service.
I was quoted 550-650 for my 1k on street glide special 2 weeks ago
Ridiculous to say the least, they said I could finance if I needed 😆
Looks good, don’t they check the spark plugs?
Loud pipes don’t do squat. Newer cars cabin seals out 90% of the noise on the outside. Combine that with music playing and they are “deaf”. Long story short keep your head on a swivel when on 2s
That’s when it’s time to upgrade to the LP6 lights and part seas
Honestly didnt look like a full service to me for 1000 mile service. Didnt see him check the neck bearings on the front end of the bike for 1 or did you just not film that part. The 1st 1000 mile service they check pretty much everything neck bearings clutch ect ect.
Tip for you . If you have your wife ride with you, they also sell back rest for passenger. It is very hard on a passenger without a back rest. Try riding around town or on the highway for 50 miles and see how if feels. My wife rides with me everywhere I go and I have never had her ride without a back rest. It is her bike too and she has the right to be comfortable instead of the rider trying to be cool without having one. JS
Less than 29 mins. work and nearly $400. Harley rips off its customers faithfully. Never again!
@@DBMedia1000 amen! They’re actually very easy to work on.
a 20 year Master Tech should not have spilled oil on any wiring below filter. This guy is just lazy and not using the proper funnels or technique. Plus the brake clean will eat the powder coat.
"I had a tank top and normal pants on" Dress for the slide not the ride she’s got a guardian angel since she was untouched
I like how organized the mechanic works and how he has his work area, tremendous mechanic/ good video...
I agree bro! Thanks
Harley-Davidson does not make oils for the bike. Sin 3 is made for HD by who the hell knows. At one time Sunoco had the contract but who knows. HD will not tell you. They want you to purchase their old. Do some research and you will find that AMSOIL is top of the line. All they make are lubricants. After the first 1000 mile service, go with AMSOIL
Absolutely! I will only use Amsoil, use it in both my vehicles and will definitely be using in my new bike.
actually you will get red flag if you hit 2k
I paid in nyc close to $500. For that😡 PLEASE tell me you didn't film it all. Like did he check if there was water in break fluid. The tension on your belt. All Breaking system. All CRITICAL FASTENERS?
Ps Handle bars. Lol
Dang brother I love your positive energy! There’s no color in your eyes- if I was closer I’d help you with the handlebar install but I’m out here in the Midwest! 🤘🏾
She was on the Georgia down biker poker run that started at JT power sports in Bloomingdale. I was just glad they was okay, bikes can be fixed and replaced
He actually did a good job explaining parts of the bike to you .knowledge is power.
This is a joke. $500 service after 1k miles. My Wing gets an oil/filter change after 4k and oil only change after another 8k. Filter change every 16k with dino oil every 8k and will easily go 400k on the engine. HD has a long way to go.
thats it?? what about adjusting clutch, belt, etc... if that is the case I could do what he just did myself?..
Please review your tourpack, what you like and dislike about it.
You got it bro!
cool man.
Interesting to see a full 1000 mile service. They really know what they are doing these Harley tecks. Thanks
Not all of them. When I got my new bike it was put together in a rush. Many loose bolts and oil leak from top of the engine
Awesome! Very informative thank you for sharing have a blessed day!
Really cool to watch I’m only at 80 miles so I’m still pretty far off lol but yea you have a beautiful bike man
I passed the 1000 mile before I took mine in. That was because I work out of town on Saturday’s and I did not even know that they can pick up the bike from your house and drop it back off after it’s done. So cool Harley that they can do that if you can’t bring it in yourself. Will our dealership does anyway, I don’t know if it’s like that everywhere?
You and what were rocking out yesterday???? Lol. I just spit my food out at the table at Texas Roadhouse.
just bought my Road Glide Limited past weekend and the following day I put 500 miles.. lol
No one likes a show off! Just joking 😂 😂 😂 😂 hopefully I get my 5,000 miles a lot sooner
@@woodjr.3771 😂 ya was just thinking out loud that now the 1k will be here in a week or so. Meaning more 💰. Great vid.
I’ve heard stories of people going on 2000 miles trips before they take it in for first service. As long as they keep it under 3000 rpm. Don’t know if that’s true?
What song where you playing when you turned on the bike?
What's going on my brother I just had my oil changed and next my bars
This Harley technician is the first person I’ve heard say he prefers stock suspension. 🤯
I am very impressed with the time they took and the care they took with the 1000 mile service!....very cool!
Agree bro! They were thorough and professional with solid customer service
Man that dealership, and tech were cool as hell Wood. Another great video brethren. Peace be with you, and god bless.
I agree bro. Everyone was so great and the service was excellent.
@@woodjr.3771 where u from bro. Me and my brother road down to Daytona and got caught in that rain leaving back out to NC!!!
@@daddycool3942 Bro that sucks getting caught in the rain. Way to power through 👍🏽. We rode in from GA.
Thanks for this video, man. Wasn't sure what they did for $400 and change.
I got charged over 500 plus taxes for my Street Bob 114 first service a couple weeks ago. Charged me 2.5 hours labor for a little over an hour job. I was floored when told the price at check out. My wife's new Indian Bobber was 200 a week ago for the same checklist. Ridiculous price from Harley. Talk about gouging new customers!
@@tricgix2949 true that. That’s why almost everyone work on their bikes after first service
I’ll do the first and last service my self. They don’t cover nothing anyways. It’s always your fault on repairing your bike.
They change the oil’s and filters check the belt tension torque a few bolts on wheels bars don’t be fooled
Beautiful bike! That white just pops.
Loved this bro! Great energy …….learned a lot!
What a scam, really dude
I just bought a 2020 Street Glide Special in Performance Orange.
Right on bro!
Hi, I was just quoted $550-$650 fort 1k miles 21 street glide special????? Seriously wtf are you kidding me
hello bro!
I'm watching the video of your bike.
I'm curious about the brand and model name of your bike muffler.
the sound of the muffler is very good with the bass sound.
Thanks bro! It’s Rinehart slip ons with the Stage One Screaming Eagle
oh~ thank you for commenting.
please continue to upload a lot of videos in the future.
i also want to see the maintenance video
thank you :)
This like my 100th time watchin this video… my question is did you ever upgrade your oil to amsoil synthetic? Or the regular Harley oil?
😂😂definitely synthetic
@@woodjr.3771 ok bro lol… I heard the Harley brand thinner than water
Jus got my 1000 mile service today I went with synthetic but the heavy primary and transmission fluids 80/140 shifting is so smoother now…💯💯💯👍🏾

Awesome video.
Really like your videos, man.
Thank you.
Peace
Really surprised they even let you in the shop.... they always say. insurance reasons''.....
Good job man!!
Hey brother. Hats off and a salute to this dealership.
This is a big deal. May not seem like it to most.
This mechanic, his bosses and Harley went above and beyond allowing this in their showroom
I wish I was closer to y’all. I’d use them as my home dealer.
I’ll share the name later on all my social media.
God helps his kids. He helped you to make this. 👍🏼😇
Be safe and know y’all make this ole gray bearded preacher smile during a vet hard time.
Merry Christmas to you, your wifey, and subscribers.
Thanks for sharing. Nice ride.
Thanks bro!
Niiiice
That was a great learning experience! Thanks 🙏
Nice footage 😎
Thanks bro!
Did you purchase a pre paid service plan when you bought your bike
I plan to do that six months before my factory warranty is up
BOY ARE YOU GREEN. LOL
Txting
How much they charge you
Every bit of $350.... this is your first bike and first service. Take your time and you can do it yourself at home. The simple stuff I do myself.
It cost 500 and something in california for first service.
This guy is not much of a mechanic if he's not turning you on the legend suspension you need to talk to somebody else
Mechanics fix not sell you on items your confusing him with a salesperson.
