So good to see this! But I'm so sorry to her more detailed about the management about your school. I totally understand that it's not for you. I look forward to your coming updates!
Syifa, so very impressed with your English skills! You obviously have a knack for languages and story telling!! You should most certainly continue making videos! It is going to get real tough the next couple of years with the way economies around the world go, but take heart from the fact that people with skills such as yours will always strike work no matter the circumstances! So more power to you!!! ❤
Syifa thank you for your amazing response to my question, which was about 1 minute. Your experience is priceless, and I agree with everything you said. We should be humble and open minded towards differences between people. God bless you.
Syifa Adriana We are all human beings. Because biggoted tribalists/racists/cultural supremacists do not like it, it is not our problem, nor it changes facts. Ramadhan Karim to you! Respect to all indonesian people, I have had a great experience with all indonesians I spoke to I needed your experience because I have been thinking myself of the possibility of moving to China perhaps in a future. I am fine praise be to God/alhamdulillah. Are you javanese? May God pour more blessings on you!
Syifa Adriana Thank you so much for your suggestion sister. If I move to China, I may even move for a long term period. I am a medical doctor, and I have noticed China has a boosting market for doctors, not just the private clinics, but also the state itself. Do you have any information about this field or the market, since you live one year and half there? May God bless you!
Luckily, the uncertainties in your near future plan is because you're flexible/indecisive with many options. Sometimes a bit of divine intervention will help you make your next move! :D
True! I am experiencing bigger issue within myself and my family, as of now. It is my concern and eventually will determine what move I am taking next.
I honestly think you are a facinating megnificent person, the lady. I have been many places in my life and yet met many people yet you have captured my heart in a good way with respect. if I see you up there, some where, among the stars and all, and I know I won't be surprised at all, you have the personality, character and dignity for it. 👍
Finally some realistic information, most RUclips videos are endless commercials how "everything is Paradise" etc., while I know that is not the truth. I have traveled to over 40 different countries and lived in many too, most of the RUclips vlogs are just there to create income and entertainment.
Well, actually you can use google map and google translate directly in China, not all functions are blocked. Here are the URLs: www.google.cn/maps or ditu.google.cn and translate.google.cn
Yaallah, you must have had a tough time with such a employer. I can only imagine the stress you went through. Hope you had supportive friends and collegues. TC
you can regard Chinese app as IOS while the American’s are Android, Chinese app is unique and have own version and trait. for instance, WeChat is a super app =whatsapp+FB+paypal+arbinb +uber etc
It was good for you to have left that school with such bad management. This is the first video of yours I watched and I like it. I will continue to watch your other videos. Thumbs up.
Those people passing by were stopping out of curiousity and checking on what u were doing...thats funny, lol And btw about the “public punishmen”, i also have experienced with my own eyes while in the hotel in nanjing. The local tour guide made a mistake because she took the hotel keys from the receptionists and directly gave it to us as the event participants without communicating it first with the leader of the event organizer. The leader was very angry and shouted out at her in front of us. That sounds very rude and ashaming but they just dont really care about time and place.
Hahahaha yes, I shouldve stopped and asked them to say hi. I wasn't really paying attention as I was focusing on answering these questions. With regards to your experience, I guess I am not so shocked... thank you for watching :)
other option is to become a tour leader. Tour leader makes good amount of money from tips. How do you become one? try to apply to tour and travel companies in Indonesia or you can try to organize a tour by yourself.
I know some people do that. I may personally don't find it to be attractive option but who knows? I am an introvert person that I dont fee comfortable traveling with a huge group. LOL
have been enjoying your travel blog especially the ones made in Nepal since am from this place, can you share me what travel gear you carry, your video quality are very good, do you do post production before you post them??
Syfia yes you are a foodie ☺️Baidu map is a map app to use real time in China ☺️ Syifa keep your head up always remember that please daily I say that as you are very brave and as well very kind to those that are deserving it. 😌
Syifa Adriana - it's not for you to decide how the school is run (obviously you can leave) . You were paid to execute objectives as a teacher. That teacher was dismissed from the institution/school in a way similar to disciplinary actions given in class to students. The firing was not personal but was not "public" either.
I agree. It's not up to me how the school was supposed to run. It is just one of many things that they do when to treating their employees. I don't think it is the same with disciplining student in a classroom. The reason was also personal based on the employer emotional decision. What was the point of everyone being summoned (especially including new British teachers) just to witness the firing in a 45 mins speech? All of us disagree with it although at the end it's not our decision how to run the school. Thanks for watching anyway :)
Please consider coming to Canada.Your excellent English and Mandarin language skills would place you in high demand, especially in British Columbia.B.C is the Canadian province on the west coast, it has a large Chinese population and a temperate climate.
Hay syifa ..... maaf bertanya, to saya sangat butuh informasi nya. Trmksh jawabannya ....
Syifa Adriana terima kasih jawabannya. Tidak menyangka secepat ini responnya . Jempol deh ! Tp satu lg yg blm , yaitu apakah beijing satu 2 nya pintu masuk ? Atau bs dr kota lainnya? Kalau lg santai tlg dijawab ya ..... trmksh
Hey, would you recommend Yinchuan for a place to live? I want to study in China and one of universities I'm considering is in there, but it's really hard to find anything about the quality of living there. Is it expensive? How's the air quality? And most important - how's the streetfood?
Hi, Syifa, next time, if you happen to work in China again, please choose the big cities in costal area...you will get well paid and their management is way better than those in deep China... And if possible, try to teach in University, 10-20 hours per week, and higher salary than high school...
Hi syifa how are you hope you fine and happy! Your content is so helpful traveling for people you are a inocent girl and I,ll come to china soon meet you☺ and i support your channel keep more contents!! By for now
True! In reality only native speakers get the English teaching job visa, however in real practice, plenty of native speakers even teach with tourist/business visa. At the same time, plenty of non-native do the job with work visa although registered as something else. The demand for this job in China is so high and will always higher than the available people who can do/willing to do this job.
Why don't you try New Zealand, ? The pace is much slower than China but we speak English here, and many Chinese live here although, you won't be over-whelmed by any one race.
hi Syifa,r u still in china?welcome to changsha,i'll be your guide,i love your video and u,aha, don't be afraid, and welcome.btw,i was traveled to iran in 2016.
Believe me. U look more beautiful in hijab not just a scarf covering nothing of ur hair. U r a gorgeous young lady. Keep ur beauty to ur future husband. Best of luck. 😊
China is so big. YinChuan is so small and locates in nowhere. There are many wise employers in Beijing, ShangHai, GuangZhou. There are many more opportunities for you here in China. You are welcomed back to China again. Your English is much better than your friends. I think I can understand you 90%, and less than 50% of your friends. I am an old engineer by career.
I agree! It may be also because of the fact work ethic in smaller cities are less acceptable and less professional. I wish to come back to China one day. Thank you for your kind support.
Do you have to have graduated University to teach English abroad (In China) if so does it matter which degree it is? And which degree do you have (if you have one) ? :)
You have to have a bachelor degree, teaching experiences or teaching certificate. The degree doesnt have to be about education. All of these requirement are must and required by the government to obtain a work visa. The school also has to have a license to hire foreign teacher :)
ihope you enjoy your travels becuas there are few people have chance to travel like this. i like your new hijab style you got more beatiful and becuase of that you need to take more care of your self .
Those so-called computer translators are not correct. I've been shown translation by tourists which talk nonsense or translated wrongly. Languages need a human because of its complexity.
I felt very sorry that you have suffered so much in your English teaching job. That working environment is really awful. Different country different culture different mentality. How could they make you pay your medical bills. I would like to visit Indonesia one day and hope you can be my host. I always look forward to your next video. Just like always, stay beautiful and may Allah bless you.
Good to hear from u gain Syifa. l still think ur hijab is wonderful and it suits ur face nicely. u look more beautiful with it and why not!! l wouldn't change it. l disagree with the other guy who commented on Shia/Iranian . Like Sunni muslim Shia and lranian r good muslim there r not much difference betweem. We equally respect both of them...

You should try living in China at least for a year. It would be interesting to see how you feel about it and what sort of experience you have..
Syifa Adriana Thank you so much for your suggestion sister.

That is too kind of you to say Al Demir! All the best for you and thank you for all of your positive support.
Great Q&A video Syifa! I hope you will find a positive environment workplace where employers take-care, respect and value their employees. Thank you.
Thank you Vira for posting your question. Much appreciated!

Syfia, do you have any advice on travelling with a pet? I am thinking of taking my cat along with travelling. 🌻

Syifa Adriana Welcome 🙂
technically, that teacher was fired in a "private" setting. But teachers have guidelines - and if not followed, it's a "major" offence.
I may or may not understand your comment. Do you mind elaborating this?
Syifa Adriana - it's not for you to decide how the school is run (obviously you can leave) . You were paid to execute objectives as a teacher. I was born in the northwest and I don't feel well of your words about Yinchuan.
Muslims are not welcomed in China, said by a Chinese National.
She is not native English speaker so not qualified to teach English in China. You just shut up your hospitality.
