@@CyclingInTheAlps I’ve got a place held open by the charity from last year…….will be recce’ing the ride and would be great to have some company if you fancy a slower ride
So informative - thank you for sharing your knowledge with us ! also nice to see a glimpse of what looks like your training room - nice blue wall and artwork !
That tunnel messes with your head, it’s hard to understand why it’s so hard there as you can’t visualise it’s true gradient. Don’t forget to mention the little water trough on the descent (at the Encrenaz junction) if anyone needs it.
Yes the Tunnel is a bit weird if cars are coming through too. The Encrenaz water stop would be a bit dangerous for me to mention - I'd keep that one to yourself :-)
Thank you for the video - we are considering cheering Tour de France etape 14 on this climb, but in 2016 the caravan did not pass this climb... Do you know if it will pass this time around?
Thanks for watching. In 2016 the was a major problem with the descent road of the Ramaz where we'd had landslides hence the caravan was deemed to much of a risk to go over, whereas the riders took seconds to pass the danger zone. Since then a massive avalanche / landslide protection gallery has been built on the descent so I have no doubt that the caravan will go over.
Another good video Mike 👍🏻
Thanks Phil - did you get an entry?
