I'm a single guy and hope to be able to adopt a little girl one day if I don't get married or have kids of my own. If so I plan on watching reruns of this show with her!
They especially wouldn't match her up with a man. If they re-made this, Henry's character would be replaced with a woman, because it is assumed these days that most men are kiddy diddlers.
Yes sir that’s why I love these these old shows way before my time. I’m thankful to my parents and much older sister for introducing these amazing old shows to me.
The courts today have no trouble separating foster children from loving families. "Yes, take them from the family that raised them for seven years and give them to the biological aunt they've never seen who lives ten states away and is on parole." Makes perfect sense.
That's it, I'm buying the DVD set. This show was so great, I watched it as a child and it taught me so much. That line: "this isn't about if a couch and a coffee table go together" really REALLY stuck with me. It's brilliant.
THIS IS WHAT TV WAS LIKE BACK WHEN TV WAS WORTH WATCHING! Real family-friendly shows that we're actually entertaining. No raunchy undertones, no far leftist (or far right) agenda, no favoring of politically divisive subjects. Oh, and no "reality" shows about dancing stars, singing celebrities, or woke culture. No, these 1980's shows were genuine, up to date, and fun. TV today is $#!+ ! Maybe I should just cancel my cable, and watch these on my TV via RUclips!
Funny story the judge in this episode played Addys dad in the 80s show Gimme a break and another fun fact the lady lawyer Lois was the real life wife of George Gaines aka Henry.
No, Allyn Ann McLerie played the district attorney. She was George Gayne's wife. Later in the series, she played Maggie McLerie, Henry's love interest.
You can be emotional because somebody go to sleep forever you can be emotional because somebody loves you so much 💋 you can be emotional for enjoy you can be emotional because it's raining😅😅😅
@@julesa2894 Yes, she played Henry’s love interest in that episode, but she also played Lois here. She played two different characters in different episodes.
I totally forgot about this episode until watching it now. I'm still bawling over it over 35 years later
Punky and Henry were the best family ever.
Ture
Yes she did❤❤❤

I love the way Punky sounds like she wants to stay with Henry and she wants to be happy with the decision to stay with Henry
I was obsessed with this show when I was younger when my dad introduced it to me
Yeah Punky, always #1 in our Hearts.
They don’t and will never make shows like this anymore. Classic

These days are sadly gone.
@@ryder4508 yes because of relentless fear mongering, ironically, of the generation that grew up watching this show
My favorite show growing up!
That judge chose to be the best judge ever that day. 🥺
My dad used to watch this when he was 7 or 8 and loved it
I feel so old ....lol
This is beautiful and emotional. I'm crying. 😢😪
love the actor playing henry
Punky was such a cute funny little girl. Wish programmes like these were still made
I hope the new show has influences of henry sprinkled throughout. R.I.P. Looking forward to new show
There's a picture of him on the wall that punky talks to 😊
I heard they actually sprinkled is ashes on set.
There's going to be a reboot!?
Punky is a photographer.
She actually became a photographer. She followed in his foot steps

I recently came back from living overseas for decades only to learn about "Punky Brewster" in this video. The USA still has a lot of heart.
I cried like I did over 35 years ago when she ran back inside the house to hug Henry. This was my favorite show. I remember every episode.
I cried like a baby
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!
I love punky she’s so optimistic 😀😀😀
And that was how commandant Eric Lassard became a foster parent.
Simply put; parent.
❤️ I love Soleil Moon Frye!
Yesss my favorite show growing up I grew up in the 80s punky😊❤️❤️❤️❤️
Truly loved watching this show growing up
The reboot is AWESOME!!!!! 💗💗💗
I like it better than the Saved By the Bell reboot.
Hi Faith! Thanks for reaching out. You can stream the Punky Brewster reboot on Peacock! Please reach back out if you have any further questions.
That's it, I'm buying the DVD set.

2021 never thought i'd get to see this again
I loved this show. Loved the way she dressed. Also saw that it was ok to wear what ever I wanted. Any way I wanted.
That's why so many of us loved Punky ❤
This will always and forever be one of my favorites! They do not make them like this anymore! I loved to watch Alf too
I was PUNKYS AGE in 1984!
We both had same ,growing in that time
Loved this show growing up in the 80's.
Oh man....I just wish the new reboot will hold this type of heart. Its natural to assume it won't.
I watched the first three episodes. It’s not bad.
I love the fact the District Attorney was about to smile at the ending and they have to cut.
I actually own the entire series of Punky Brewster on dvd
Awesome 👍🥰

What is woke culture to you?
Sadly there was no far right. Only leftist and far leftist agendas in shows.
Who else is what hing in 2021 and bawling their eyes out?
This show to me has my childhood memories i say that because i don"t remember that time of my life only the musics and "TV SHOWS "

J.A. Preston. The judge in A Few Good Men.
lol I used to watch this when I was a wee kipper, and now that I have a daughter who is 8, my affectionate nick name for her is Punky or Punkers.
The Best
Peacock destroyed this wonderful and brilliant show by not renewing season 2 of its reboot. 😢

Punky: PUNKY Power
1984 it was
Still to this day I walk into the office say, "What's going on Punky Bruster?"
It helps keep the memory alive of such a great show.
Going to the gym..fort!
Isn’t the DCF a state agency? I don’t think there would be a separate representative from the state to challenge the DCF in court.
Now WHY CANT THEY DO THE NEW SHOW ON TV.... SO I CAN ACTUALLY. Watch it?????????
Isn't it on Peacock? That's free. And you clearly have internet where you can watch videos.
@J D it’s only free for one episode

I'm trying to place her too
That is Allyn Ann McLerie, who was actually the real-life wife of George Gaynes (who plays Henry).
