Damn!! The guy who played Henry lived to be 98!! RIP buddy
He was hilarious in Police Academy
Blessings from God
George Gaynes. Yeah, he was pretty good.
Glad he got to live so long!
Back when the world was full of magic and gave us a reason to live. I wasn’t born during this time period but my parents and I watched this all the time on dvd.
My childhood..... I WANT IT BACK! 😭😭😭😢😢😢
Me too!!!😭😭😭😭💔
Me also 😵😢, Someone invent a time machine already cause I want to go back to 80's and relive my childhood again and have fun. 😀😂
Yes yes
👏🏾
Supposedly there will be somewhat of a reboot coming. Only Punky will be the one raising the child who knocks on her door
BRUH I wasn’t born anywhere close to the 80’s but my parents had this on dvd or something and we used to watch it all the time when I was little... wow this is so nostalgic I’m gonna cry
Yes same! I was born in 02 but i used to watch the dvd all the time and this theme song takes me back 😭
@@sagetorrisi7097 2002**

when the world was a safer place to be!!!! I miss growing up from the last of the 80s & thru the good ol 90s!!!! back when we weren't divided & when my mum was still alive
The 80's were magic...
I agree with you
That’s an understatement! ♥️♥️♥️
Damn right
Unlike the cesspool of today
3rd grade nostalgia for me (1984-1985)
I'm 45 RN. Punky Brewster was my first crush. Cool to see the show returning with her as a mom this year!
That's not Punky Brewster. She would never had that type of life.
Why does she have to be a mom ?
Hay do you know what the name of the show is please. I grew up with punky Brewster. Would love to see it back on tv again. Been watching io youtube. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm 44, I had a huge crush on Punky, too.
Her spirit's lifting me right off the ground - a show about empathy, unconditional love, diversity and the triumph of being caring. That stuff is so ingrained in me now. Thank you Punky. Thank you 80s tv xo ❤😓 We need more of you.
I agree 👍 💯, we have to give that gift to our children 😊
The 80s was a magical time for TV shows and the open theme music were incredible. Punky Brewster is in the top 5 of them all.
do you know where is the location of the Daisy farms supermarket that appears in the lost and found episode
We will always love Punky Brewster and the love she showed us all. The nostalgia really breaks,my heart 😢 Thank you Soleil Moon Fry.
This made me who I am. Im crying rn.. Punky was my everything. Now im just me.
I loved Punky! I used to watch this every day after school. I loved everything about her. Her style, Henry, the whole thing. Makes me miss my childhood so much ❤ One of the last generations that experienced what being a kid means. My life was the same. Playing outside with my friends, riding bikes, getting into trouble. No phones, no computers, just our friendships and imagination. Such a simple beautiful time.
I see you 80's babies 😁✊
I was born in 1980 and watched this show growing up. Had such a great time watching all the episodes.
I’m so happy to be a. 80’s baby. It was the best thing a child could ever experience growing up. Now all they have is PlayStation, cellphones and social media. 😢😢
Same
I remember this show and I really liked this show because Punky knew how to make people happy and I wish I could go back in time. Thank you for making the world a better place Punky Brewster!
This show was on Sunday nights 6 seasons the longer version is very sweet my girlfriend who just wants to be friends she Is everything to me her spirit lifted me of the ground I will always love her💔
Awesome show on NBC Sunday night 700 I believe the song very nostalgic ❤
The theme music hurts my heart. Alot of 1980s sitcoms give me nostalgia pain. I miss the 80s, my childhood so so much. I would give anything too go back too those simpler times.
I would give anything to go back to the 80's, too. The best years of my life.
@@れいんいわくら , mine too.
She was very special no one else could have been so iconic.
I consider myself very luck to spent my childhood in the 80s, and teenage in the 90s...used to watch Punky on TV as a kid, my sister used to dress just like Punky did. 80s were awesome decade to be a kid...it wasn't as chaotic as today.
exactly! my younger sister loved her and dressed like her too
I was born in 79, so I’m an 80s kid and let me tell you..... the shows, the games and the toys and overall environment of playing outside and innocence, being a kid. Was freakin awesome.
Who am I kiddin, I still play with LEGOS.
The fashion back then...... that’s another story
The music, and just growing up around neighborhood kids, BIG WHEELS FOR LIFE
Such a underrated theme song
100% agree. Recognized its greatness as a kid.
The same guy who did the Cheers theme song
I don't understand why we are so divided racially right now. This is what I grew up with! Punky and her friends were a pretty diverse group that loved each other. That's what I was taught. Maybe I got lucky.
We sure did get lucky.
U so Rigght
Victoria Gates I always liked that Quote ( FRIENDS ARE THE SIBLINGS GOD FORGOT TO GIVE US ). Soleil is doing a Documetary about her doing Punky & other 80s 90s child actors. March 12th on HULU. Its called KID 90.
I had nice friends, diverse at that age we didn't think about that stuff. I only saw the person not the color just like I do now. I don't like treating each other badly. We were nice to each other
We're decades after this and have gone backwards .
Man, I am crying I miss the 80's. Simpler times🥰🥰
I call my daughter Punky and I sing this to her sometimes. I grew up on this show.
Same here !
Watching this really got me emotional. I used to love this show as a kid ❤️.
i’m a 2000s kid and along with others i grew up with this, full house, boy meets world, saved by the bell, and the brady bunch. i used to watch them on dvd and on tv reruns.
Yeah, you're a young adult now, these shows were before your time
Hey there same
Me too, although I watched them when they were new and then in reruns( except for The Brady Bunch that show I watched in reruns only)
Same here! I had the pinky Brewster DVD’s as a kid and I miss it so much
I watched this because my mom (80s kid) ordered the DVDs from Netflix for me and my brother (00/10s kids) to watch. I loved it.
This song makes me want to cry, laugh, and smile at the same time 💗
Me too
Anyone else crying their eyes out? Just me? Ok....😭😭😭
Same here😪🤧😭😭😢
I want to cry to
A little bit of trivia: Gary Portnay also sang the theme song for Cheers.
WOW.
They are similar in certain ways. Makes sense.
He wrote them as well
Wow! That's Awesome sauce and the 80's were awesome and I never forgotten how much meant to me and I grew up in that decade lol
He also does a nice cover of the theme song to Mr. Belvedere
Punky is on Dr. Oz today! It made me miss this show! The theme song makes my heart smile. I so miss these days! 80 baby here!
I was a kid in 1983 When NBC was advertising this show. "ONLY ON NBC".💋 I wish that I could go back to the 1980's forever.
Watching this was like taking a trip back to my childhood in the 80's when things were so simple thanks for letting me relive my childhood this was a great video tribute to a wonderful show (I have this show on dvd just missing season 3 and yes I am guy who likes this show) thank you agian for this video and for that little info I never knew that it was the same person who also sang the CHEERS theme song too(another great 80's show)
I'm also THAT GUY who doesn't just like this show, but loves it! I'm 41 as of July 29th, 2019 and I grew up watching this each week on NBC. As we started getting older, we noticed that things were slowly changing with each year that has come to pass. Believe me though, I would give anything to go back into time and be able to relive better days past. God bless you Steve.
Sincerely,
Steven
GulfCoastSportsLLC I could not agree more with you guys. I’m female, turned 45 on July 5, 2019. I miss the 80s so much. 😭
I know, that's why I still like this show its a CLASSIC.
I’m a guy as well, 43 and grew up watching this I don’t think I missed an episode.
Who couldn’t love Punky and George Gaines I known him better as Capt Eric Lassard from Police Academy which made me like the show even more. I have Punky Brewster and Police Academy all on DVD
I'm a lot younger then most of the people on this thread, having just turned 25 this year, but I have all 4 seasons, and my mom(born in 77') introduced me to punky Brewster when I was a kid too. She recently gifted me all 4 seasons cause she doesnt watch them anymore. Even if I dont watch them I'll keep them forever. Such a great show.
I was born in 1996 but i watched punky brewster my whole life , now have my nieces watching , they love it , punky power!!
You're 25 years old?
You can tell soliel moon frye and George gaines shared a special bond relationship that made this one of the best series in t.v. history.😭R
I.p. George Gaines. Aka Eric Lazard from police Academy movies.
Rip to the woman who played Mrs Betty Johnson 💔 🙏 😢
As George would say...”There are many, many, many great memories from that show.”
Good old days I love all these old programs that was just the best life ever.
I’m only 14 and I grew up on this show 😭
I was a baby at the time but now that I old enough bring on the water works. What an amazingly empathetic show.

Wen I lived with my grandmother years ago. We had a stray cat name Punky. I named her after the show. I was a big fan of punky.
Best theme song ever. For me,it's between this and the Growing Pains song. Epic.

The 80's 😥. I MISS YOU!!! Me and my sister watched this series, with Alf, Cosby and Al Bundy
This is so sweet. I can't wait for the reboot. This show will forever have a special place in my heart.
This was my childhood ❤❤❤ god this was the best show ever
I was born in 1996 but my mother grew us up on the 80, so basically I was born in the 80s/late 70s like my parents but this is a classic to me! 😅💕
Your mom raised u right

Literally the good old days
I was born in 2003 but I lived to to see the 80’s and 90’s fade and lived to hear about them it sounds more peaceful and fun than the time we’re in now.
I hate to be one of those people, but Chad made me remember this oldie but goodie. Couldn't remember why I loved this song, couldn't remember where it was from 😁 Man ...a special kind of innocence.
I miss dese times Lawwd I wish it can still be like the 70s an 80s an 90s era what nostalgia
Tec Cash I was a 70s kid, watching Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, Leave it to Beaver, Beverly Hillbillies. Loved playing Little League Sports. Wasnt always fun being IRISH lots of people think were all Drunks. Even today REDHEADS get Bullied. Not gonna Lie some of us kids liked our Alcohol. Grade School girls liked us O"GRADY Boys with our Freckles on our face. Neihbors wernt nice they wanted to pay us with beer to cut there lawns. So IRISH 1 brother name was PATRICK. I admit us IRISH are Different born with Red Hair & Freckles. Doesnt help most IRISH songs are about Drinking. Being 70s kids all 8 of us are in our 50s. Mom side gave us kids 12 first cousins. Cool having both Parents with IRISH names O"GRADY - KELLY.
Golden Tv Sitcom. 😃❤️
You have absolutely made my day much better.
This was my childhood.
This wonderful theme song should be a ringtone cause I would definitely use it for my cellphone. 😊😋😀
I had it as a ringtone for awhile. I have a RUclips downloader and I downloaded it. The put it in my ringtone maker and made it as a ringtone. Got people looking at me. Asking for my copy so they could have it. They said it was a blast from the past. A nice one at that❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ive always loved this show but I was in my late 20s early 30s when the show aired and I was watching it !

Nah it’s the 36th
I wish antenna tv or even cozi tv would put punky Brewster on their network, I'm being serious. I would like to see this back on regular tv again, I don't care if it would be reruns or not. Punky Brewster was in a big TV show and so was the cartoon. Back then I could not get enough of it at all. We did have so many great TV shows back then and they were all worth watching.
Punky Brewster is on peacock if your looking for it
The show is back! a 10 episode season was released on Peacock and the show itself is really good
I wish I could click a ❤ Love button!

One of my favorite shows of all time!
Maravillosos 80, me llevó a mi niñez, que lindo...
Quisiera saber donde puedo ver los capitulos de esta maravillosa serie
i miss this show
In France we also had it. The beginning of the credits gives me chills and so much nostalgia
80's theme songs rule!
I've always wanted to watch Punky's 3 and 4 seasons. But it was never possible. In Brazil, the last two seasons have never been dubbed or subtitled.
Fez parte da minha infância. Assistia no SBT nos anos 90. 🇧🇷
omg this song is great thank you for putting it up
I am excited
listening to this song, it reminds me of my childhood, I just had tears now.
Great news for everyone, they are bringing this beloved show back (as a reboot) with Soleil Moon Frye reprising her role as a now grown up Punky Brewster.
Yup, it will air on Peacock.
Do you know the name of the new Punky Brewster show please. I grew up with her in the 80's she was one of my favorite shows. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can somebody please give me back my childhood?
Back when you were 10 and you ran home off the bus, did your homework, got a snack and ran outside and played with your friends until the street lights came on, then you had to go home. Nobody was worried about anyone being abducted or harmed. Just make sure you were home when the street lights came on. No video games (Atari wasn't really that big of a thing) no cell phones, and we drank water out of garden hoses between plays when playing neighborhood football with all the neighborhood kids. When I was little I never imagined I would miss those days. But I do. I miss the innocence, the beauty, everything. Life was so simple. With shows like Airwolf and Knight Rider, any kid would grow up loving helicopters that could do mach 2 and self driving cars that could talk to you.

I'm really missing George Gaynes, 1917-2016, and Susie Garrett, 1929-2002, because they really loved those kids.
Such a wonderful song with a beautiful melody.
I loved this show!!! ♥️
