I've started playing around with refining and I've built a silver cell to really purify what I refine. The crystals it makes are absolutely mesmerizing. I can just stare at it for hours on end. I keep the chunky bigger crystals and melt the fine silver crystals into 10 gram buttons. The buttons end up being very close or right on 4 9's fine after the double refining. I weigh them at least a tenth heavy when I melt them then I stamp them "999 10G" just to be conservative. I call them barter buttons. The refined crystals are just about the purest form of silver you can get and it's imo the best silver to use to melt and pour with.

School of hard knocks during a bartering society is not the time to learn at that point to much predatory bartering/scams will be taking place.

    • @samsmobilepressurewashing8422
      @samsmobilepressurewashing8422 4 месяца назад +1

@SamStearns-lx3ce the advertising is tricky, since alot of business people think it is unacceptable and almost silly which...outside looking in could seek unprofessional. Remember...our stacks are suppose to be private and unknown. Customers would be reluctant to pay or even reveal that they have it due to the trust/security aspect. After completing a job and a customer is easy going maybe jokes about payment, then I mention that I seriously would accept payment via gold/silver. There is always a dollar amount agreed prior to the job so if the customer is a collector or intends to pay in strictly bullion, the math is not difficult to convert. I update my greysheet almost every month, I'm a collector, I know what dealers would pay me if I accept something so there would be negotiations on numismatics. Once again, alot of people do not feel comfortable even disclosing they own it. That's my experience..

Love the thought of this, here in the United Kingdom we need this desperately.
A town in the South of England (Lewes) attempted to introduce their own currency like twenty years ago, for commerce only. All the independent retailers signed up, even one of the local retail banks did as well but trying to educate the local people was an uphill struggle. It lasted a while.
Buying with Silver here at the moment probably wouldn’t be viable, a silver Britannia £33 per ounce (inc fees) only has a transactional value of £2.00 as legal tender so many traders might try to go off that as value as opposed to accepting for the actual silver value.
F.I.A.T is dead … people just need to wake up!
    No Gold standard link …
    No Silver sterling link …
Purely confidence in a broken system!
Yankee, much love and respect from the U.K. (still waiting for a channel to open up here)

Hey Yankee, If you can, it would be great to see you at the Ron Paul "Liberty Platform" conference in Herndon, VA on August 31st. Ron Paul should be there in person along with John Mearsheimer, Judge Napolitano, and Joel Salatin. The first silver I bought was a Ron Paul round😉.
It's good to see silver being used. To be honest, I'd have a hard time giving up silver over fiat, but I can see how it's easier to do when trading with good people.
Hope to see you, and not just your hands😁, in Virginia.

Great video, wonderful to see precious metal being used in trade/exchange of service and goods. I have to agree on "painted" silvers not something I would choose either. Just the appearance of silver is more appealing to me. I've been gifted some in the past and I accept, but definitely not what I seek.

Silver Dave is a riot 😂 So silver Dave’s 1/10th is $4 and the dimes are $2.00 each? FYI you can put Epson salt in a foot bucket and soak your feet and you will get the magnesium in your system faster and cheaper. Check it out.

I’m all about bartering and stacking PM’s, but the video is a perfect example of how inconsistent bartering with PM’s can be. Instead of vendors stating a price based on PM’s they continually revert to how many USD’s they are converting (1/10 oz to $4 USD) or are unsure on conversions (quarters vs half dollars vs dimes). Or when asked about the validity of the coins, “I’ll just go to the tent next door”. This isn’t efficient.
But glad to see people are becoming more open with PM’s as payment.

This is soooooo cool. I've been stacking for two years now and I haven't had the pleasure to go to an event like this to spend my silver. I would love to. I was so touched by this video. I am looking forward to the future to have experiences like this. I live in California and I have not seen an event where I can purchase items with silver. I am ready for this!!! I have a lot of 1/10 silver coins to barter and buy things with. God told me to start stacking these smaller coins and I can now see why!!! Praise Jesus!!!

I need to try this at my farmers market. Unfortunately it seems that a lot of vendors are only taking plastic.
