I've started playing around with refining and I've built a silver cell to really purify what I refine. The crystals it makes are absolutely mesmerizing. I can just stare at it for hours on end. I keep the chunky bigger crystals and melt the fine silver crystals into 10 gram buttons. The buttons end up being very close or right on 4 9's fine after the double refining. I weigh them at least a tenth heavy when I melt them then I stamp them "999 10G" just to be conservative. I call them barter buttons. The refined crystals are just about the purest form of silver you can get and it's imo the best silver to use to melt and pour with.

So how did that work? Let's say you owed the butcher $300 for the meat processing, and the silver was valued at $30 for a 1oz. round. Would they just accept 10 silver buffaloes?
