The one downside of this strategy is that you don't get Level 3 armor or weapons. I found that those where much easier to get by going through the dungeon and beating the end boss. Gear on the other hand was much more rare. This sped up my grind by a significant amount as all I wanted were rings at that point. Just wanted to give a heads up for those who are less familiar with the game.
Actually you can get a Level 3 Armour from this room... You need to defeat Daimon's first form, once that's done the chest in the upper left most balcony close to the chained Prisoner Gore Cyclops who stands in front of the small side path will have a chance of yielding the Level 3 Armour. Save & God's Bane if you don't get it, the chest primarily gives Poly Rift Crystals, occasionally Perfect Rift Crystals, & rarely the Level 3 Armour.
Fun tip: use master thief on the pawns you see wandering outside the walls of gran soren anywhere in the main map. Each vocation of pawn has different loot tables, so make sure to use the skill on the various pawns you see walking around. Also you can infinitely steal from the same pawn as long as you run far enough away for them to disappear, then go back to them and use master thief again. Doing so will eat through your stamina but it's kinda fun and you can get some decent stuff (as well as the kunai daggers from sorcerer pawns but it's a rare drop so keep trying)
Instead of hard-saving before you purify, rest at the cot instead. This creates a checkpoint, ehich allows you to purify and then reload checkpoint to change vocations if you didnt get desirable rings
Look, I arrived in the Area today where the video shows and it works very well this Farm can even farm a little money and I really recommend you go solo because of the ghosts
Ya, they are also really heavy. I sat and farmed just the two big boys for a while, by exiting the door in the back and returning. But you fill up in like three goes even with more capacity. Eventually settling on this so I could sell the stuff as well.
I change vocations to Red for the both of me and my pawn, BUT I ALWAYS MYSTIC KNIGHT BANDS WTF!!! Bruh, I'm stuck in a loop trying to get the warrior's band. Thanks for the video
I've been grinding BBI several times a week for months now and still haven't got anything really good. I will definitely use the master thief skill on the big boys , they take me forever to kill.
The big guys don't have the gear often, but based on my experience, you can check there loot several times over before you can take them down. But with the chest having gear every time it at least geruntees you something each run.
Classes: Fighter/Warrior=Red..... Strider/Ranger=Yellow..... Mage/Sorcerer=Blue. Hybrid Classes: Assassin Combines Yellow and Red; Magic Archer Combines Blue and Yellow; Mystic Knight Combines Red and Blue
Griding is not my favorite either. I thought it was okay in this game because BBI is your final destination. How easy can you make it or how fast can you get through it. But the rings just didn't drop enough during this process. Luckily the armor and weapons feel like more consistent rewards for slaying the beasts.
@@SheenShots I got most of the armor pieces and weapons that I wanted fairly quickly. The rings were what made me turn straight to the save editor after giving up lol.

Considering that is the best one to have I feel your pain. Grand Gicel for the sorcerer is the only ring I never got. Farmed for hours on end and still never was able to try it out at full power.
@SheenShots yesterday I finally beat the 2nd form of damion. He dropped a level 3 weapon and it turned out to be the magic bow. Lol funny how it works....
Finally got it... I normally use yellow vocations...but used a red this time to get the piece then put on yellow to purify. Got it with a additional volley spell. Thanks for the vids though broham some.good info in here.
Oh and you don't need to defeat the last one on the island, you just need to actually defeat the boses until you release the shortcut shown in the video and reach the area with the skills and you can farm
I just ran through there and got wpn lvl 2 also. Sorry now that I think about it, I'm still pre Daimon. Still good for me since I'm still just on my first playthrough.
Unfortunately the best way to get Bitter Black anything level 3 is to just look up on the wiki what chest can drop them and start farming. You can get 2-3 weapons and a couple more armor from each run of BBI, you just need to know what chests drop them. Thankfully gear isn’t that important. Outside of the few skills that become insanely better upgraded, you’ll be doing more or less the same with barbed nails. Novelties aren’t really that great outside of the climbing augments either. It’s unfortunate though that it’s the weapons and armor that are universally great for any class since they’re the biggest pain to farm. I’ve gone upwards of 5 mins resetting myself on chests over and over again before *one* finally dropped. I’d recommend running chests every run for most people anyways, as in my experience, my pawn never gets rented. Not only should you get a couple of everything from a full BBI run, but you’ll get enough rift crystals to open/upgrade a couple of the more expensive items.
Ya know what sucks though, the armor. I grabbed several of the tier 3 armors and none of them were good at all. Ya the weapons are freaking awesome, but armor really feels underwhelming.
The common variations of the armor have identical resistances to status as the rare versions. Its the bonus enhancements that you should be looking for honestly.
I just bought the game because of some your and other creator's content. How viable is it to level up multiple vocations? I like the strider's climbing enemies, the assassin's furious dagger attacks as well as magic archer's fancy ranged attacks. Is it viable to use/level all 3 on the same character?
I played through the entire game switching to any vocation I felt like whenever I wanted to. And my damage is still really good on all of the classes. Equipment means more than stats levels in the end, so feel free to play as all of them on a single character. They are each very interesting in their own way. If you notice a lack in damage, it just means you need to find better items, or level up more.
really as long as you hit at least 500 magic and or strength (depending on Vocation) before gear, you can handle most of what the game throws out you without much issue (max without gear if you focus on one or the other is around the ballpark of 850)
Very good video but am i doing something wrong with my Skull Splitter? It's not negating the damage, if i use it on a high platform the character jumps up, begins to spin, falls while spinning but eventually the skill stops as he opens his arms in that animation flailing them around, taking the fall damage anyway.
Thanks. the way I got Skull Splitter down is by always running. If you run and then activate it as you are about to go off an edge it works perfectly. In certain places I believe you don't need to run, but its always easer if you do. Hope that helps.
Just to let you know, if you wanna dive from a high building, do not jump and brain splitter you will end up hitting your face on the floor. Just use the skill button and you’ll be ok
I tried save scumming the weapons but i keep getting the same thing for each red yellow blue. I don’t know if it’s the rng. And i don’t know if it’s the same for gears armor and novelty
This does tend to happen. Basically here's how it works. Safe scrumming has a chance to work. If it does not, then you need to go for a different ring. yes this means its still hard to get the exact one you want. But the idea is if you get the same ring twice in a row, swap to a different color and try for a ring from that pool. Get that ring twice and you have one vocation left to try. The system is really bad sometimes and gives you one ring over and over. But doing this I was able to grab all but one special ring. Hopefully this helps. Just know you will need to do this a few times minimum. Seems to be the fastest way regardless though.
Isn't it when you pick up the cursed item it's already a particular item by vocation? So it will always be the same item if you try to purify on the same vocation again?
Yes I believe from experience this is how it works. Which is why its usually better to switch vocations after save quitting to try for a different ring you don't have.
The save in my experience doesn't really change items much. It does give you a chance to go get new ones if you already have the stuff opened up in previous loot. But ya the system is weird and almost always gives the same item for the same cursed object.
Ahh, so if i wanted a magick bowman ring, since there are 5 rings in total obtainable within the yellow tree, id have a higher chance of getting one from purifying 5 cursed gear lv3 when me and my pawns vocation are yellow?
No, because it requires running through the entire dungeon, and I figure might as well fight Daimon at that point. Also, those chests rarely drop gear level 3. Armor and weapons are very common, but the gear not so much.
@@SheenShots Don't forget, you gotta run out to the surface only once. After that, just exiting and re-entering Daimon's room will reset it. But I feel like lv3 gear was the most common for me. Oh well.
Yes, this needs to be done post Daimon. Which means you need to beat the boss at the end first. This causes BBI to level up and get harder enemies. That chest will also level up and grant the gear 3 stuff. The first time, Daimon only has one phase so its not his final really challenging form yet. Much more doable.
Wait so when I change vocations and get the same stuff I just keep changing and at sum point it’ll be something I want because I get the same stuff no matter how many times I swap
If you "open" up the cursed items. They will give you whatever rings you get. If you switch vocations (Yellow to red) you will get different rings as they can't drop you yellow vocation rings anymore. However, then switching back to yellow won't change the loot. It's pretty stupid because if you are trying for a magick archer ring, and you don't get it then that's it. You can go for a ring on another vocation but it requires new cursed gear to try again for the same one.
Yes you can get the rings there as well. If you want Assassin based rings you should be a yellow vocation I believe. Double check that chart in the vid as it tells you the class for sure. Also on the wiki if you want to look there.
I know a lot of people use that, but it seems like a very bad farm to me. A very long walk that I feel fighting through might just be better at that point. Idk might need to ty it to be sure.
@@SheenShots well it is a kinda long walk but i use assassin with gale harness for faster movement and use my pawns ( summon when your there) to deliver it to my inventory.
