Singing Tiny Desk Engineer has a friend now- Singing Regular Sized Pyro !
I made Pyro's DIFF-SVC model and was curious what it would sound like, since their audio is just 3-5 minutes of distorted mumbling.
Weirdly, it copied the distortion but turned them understandable, so we have Singing Understandable Pyro AI now.
Maybe later I could make an UTAU of Pyro so that they just say Mmphmmph

I don't know why but pyro singing like they smoke 20npacks a day feels so accurate.

Honestly, the raspiness fits Pyro. I imagine his throat has been damaged by smoke inhalation and the heat he's exposed to constantly.
I mean, the protective gear is supposed to heavily protect him from exactly that, but it probably did something to his voice to always be wearing that mask.

Fun fact: In Meet The Pyro, at the end of the video, when the video zooms out to show the mercs doing their poses, Engineer isnt smiling because hes next to Pyro.

Pyro is harmless and a cute chracter
so this voice was entirely generated from pyros mmhmhhmm voicelines? thats insane that it can do anything with that in the first place, and it actually fits for him. Id love a mod where it replaces all voicelines with this (Ive used the understandable pyro mod too but Id wanna see this still)

This feels like the engineer got tired of translating for pyro and made him an ai voice that speaks for him.
If Pyro can sing "I don't want to set the world on fire" (by The Ink Spots), then here are some ideas for the rest of the classes:
-Spy should sing "La vie en rose" (by Edith Paif)
-Soldier should sing "We'll meet again" (by Vera Lynn)
-Will edit if i have more ideas

I love those songs ! I feel conflicted about a soldier model, though. It would be allowed, but his VA has passed away, so that makes it feel a little messed up. But I'm not sure what everyone else's thoughts on that are-

@@singingtinydeskengineer I (personally) think using his voice is a good way to tribute to him and make him live on forever metaphorically on your crafts, if you don't use it in a degrading way, of course.
But I'll be real for a sec, soldier voice will always be used because it's a voice of a popular video game character.
If it's not by you, it would probably be by someone else.

I'm making a little SFM animation (really short, about 30 minutes, obvooiusly every minute = 2 hours) everytime I make a Pyro related scene I listen to this on loop, needless to say, it has kept my mood up, good job.

@@dutchvanderlinde8467 It's coming along, I have the script done, and audio is not an issue since it's a silent film, I've decided to extend it a little since I watched the unfinished render (animations, default lighting and maps only) and thought it the plot went too fast .
