    This pick exposed a lot of folks football knowledge. Adding Brock puts a lot of stress on the opposing defense. He can co-exist with Mayer because they are a different style of TE, with Mike being more traditional and Brock being more flex. That said, the next two draft classes are going to have a much better labor pool at QB, and I think that's the wise approach to building a team, by knowing who you can get when and where, without mortgaging the farm.

    Wiley you are good at aggregating news story and I enjoy your channel, but getting mad about taking a someone with such a unique and dangerous skill set like Bowers is absurd, he is probably going to be better than any other offensive player we have on the team by year two except maybe Adams, but Adams is getting older so that may not even be the case. He was the clear cut best offensive weapon that was not a QB and way more versatile than just a good tight end (he is basically slot, tight end/H-back, end around/jet sweep power back). We are not just a QB away on offense at this moment anyways and with the top tackles already gone, I like taking BPA and the best offensive weapon in the draft especially one that is such a swiss army knife. In the past with the QB's gone we would have reached for need, instead we took a stud with a huge ceiling. This kid has HOF potential, and is a slot/h-back type tight end anyways, he will probably hardly ever line up with a hand in the dirt anyways, so he wont even be competing with Meyer. Besides, I'm betting most of these QB's bust out, every time they praise a class as the next 83 it seems it pans out way worse than expected.

    • @Dr-puppenstein
      @Dr-puppenstein Месяц назад

      Ain't nothing dangerous about a TE that can't even block in college. Every team in the league is going to know anytime he is on the field they're going to try to force a pass to him. And he isn't a great receiver that is going to put up numbers like kelce. At most he'll be a mid TE that splits snaps with someone that can actually block. Took a 2nd round talent with the 13th pick💀

    Raider Willie from Kansas Ci. Am. So glad that they did not get Daniel's. He cannot even carry on a conversation during an interview. How would he learn the playbook? Live like Marcus Russell 9 PLAYS.

    I remember when Johnny Maziel "Johnny Football" was selected by the Browns. All the "experts" already had him in the hall of fame, before he even took a snap in the pros. Ask most people today, and you will get "Johnny who?" Bowers if healthy will be a contributor to the Raiders for years to come.
    The difference between college, and the pros is night, and day, another Brock...Purdy this time, last guy picked what has he done lately? 🤔

    I was shocked! But a good shock. Hopefully this GM isn’t going to pick busts with all the draft picks! I am looking forward to the picks tonight. Was our right tackle the reason we lost nine games last year? Bowers should help us score in the red zone. And with Mayer dominant the middle of the field. Who are they going to double team now??

    Telesco shit the bed at 13. Had he picked Taliese Fuaga, he would've had Fuaga at RT and Jackson Powers Johnson at RG. Our O line would have been set for a long time.

    Flip side is, if his TE Brock Bowers turns into travis Kelce, I mean doesent matter if its Minshew, imagine our qb getting throw to 2 top class wide recievers not to mention Jakobi. The offense can do well. Look at the 49ers this past year with brock purdy. Anythings possible.

    Im also a Raiders fan and i liked the bowers pick, i was hoping for Q. Mitchell to help all over our mid secondary or a trade down honestly but Peirce does have a huge history of two TE sets already and i think Bowers will play in the slot and act as a physical wide receiver on some reps giving us some great weapons. I think the Raiders will either trade up in next years draft or go after a big name in the next FA to address QB

  • @raiderwolf2066
