Firestorm's story is really complicated
I´m Agree with you.
I hate it when characters like Firestorm look weak in movies and on tv.
Impending Doom well they kinda have to because he's so powerful that he would just stop the bad guy in seconds....kinda how they nerf the flash in literally every episode because he should be able to stop nearly everyone

Despite his complicated history, he's still one of my fav characters of all time.
The Firestorm series from the 1980s is excellent. I recommend reading the whole thing!

@@coc8648 I feel like you're confusing captain atom with the atom (or just Atom). The former is the inspiration for Doctor Manhattan and has nuclear based atomic powers and the latter is DC's shrinking hero.

I dunno the creators of the flarrow universe have kept many promises so I wouldn't be surprised if firestorm developed this ability down the road.

Please do Hawkman and Hawkgirl. They are my personal favorite. ( Not to mention that Hawkgirl will show up in the 'Legends of Tomorrow'). I also think they are highly underrated. ( Especially for Hawkman who was just ruined by New 52)

Minkyu Kim Yeah savage hawkman was not the best hawkman series but it still had a few good stories in it I plan on reading all of it one of these days (I feel bad for hawkman such a tragic origin for him and his people)
I really wish DC will hire Geoff Johns again as a writer for Hawkman. That is the guy who made me like Aquaman. And, he is one of my favorite comic book writers.

You forgot to add in the New 52 version had the firestorm protocols deactivated, leaving Ronnie and Jason powerless. A few months later Jason discovers a spark of power, meaning they can one day become Firestorm again, and eventually they merge, but instead of creating Fury they create the complete Firestorm with Ronnie piloting and Jason as the voice in the back of the head.

Sonow Brand Because DC, for the past ten years or so, has made everything confusing. The original mini-series and the 1980s series are great, not at all difficult to follow, with stories socially relevant to the period.

The Firestorm comics were great! Volume two was good, even though they were the only ones I could get my hands on.
I have netflix, but I'm in Australia. The library of netflix is a lot smaller. Is Flash usually on it?
It's not on Canada's Netflix, but I know American Netflix has more movies than Canada's.
There's also an app called Show Box, you won't find it on the app store you have to download it online, but it has all of the flash episodes and a lot of movies too

Nathan Nelson he's not technically died Ronnie at least in the tv show said he just suppressed his thoughts and kept him "locked up"
And this my friends is another example of DC's new 52 being an ongoing example of not only taking stuff that wasn't broken, but instead of trying fix it, just dump on it and call it canon. Truely the Cherry on top of the company which turns everything it touches into a pile of shit whether it be film or comics now :(

Why are you singling out the new 52 for that? DC's other continuities are guilty of that too.
Callum Armour It didn't even do anything wrong to Firestorm.... Out of all the heroes that the New 52 changed, Firestorm definitely was not one of them. And before going out and bashing the New 52, think of how it greatly improved Aquaman, Animal Man, Green Arrow, Captain Atom, Guy Gardner, and thank the creation of the awesome Justice League Dark.
If the New 52 was so great they wouldn't be backtracking with q converted explanai on to apease fans by telling us 'everything that we changed still exists somewhere in the multiverse. I can't think of one character apart from Animal Man where changes actually helped. Green Arrow had years of stories, development and relationshipsupport tossed in the bin while great characters got completely wiped from existence like cassandra can and stephanie brown who were both great Bay girls, just so they could bring back Barbara Gordon as Batgirl, despite the fact she was firmly established as one of the best developed characters as Oracle... And how did they explain that? With "Oh yeah she was still shot in the spine and paralysed by the Joker but recovered completely from paraplegia in less than 5 years. On top of that she's still portrayed as a teen/early 20s at most yet every Robin except stephanie brown still stay as Canon so we'recommend meant to believe that Batman has gone from Dick to Jason to Time, Jason coming back and then Damien in the same time span.
That's the new 52, changing a he'll load of stuff to make it 'simpler' for new readers when in fact it's put them off because all they'be done is make it more complicated, erased years of good story, changed characters personalities to the point where their not recognisable to casual fans anymore and made it entirely conflict with other characters who they haven't changed and there for just doesn't make sense.
Callum Armour Stephanie brown actually does exists in the New 52 she just operating as spoiler now and if its any consideration post crisis DC does exists in the multiverse if you read the final issue of convergence and yes while many characters have changed quite a lot I am fairly certain more then just animal man were made better
Firestorm, one of the only few superheros that can be a complete antithesis to kryptonians.
I don't understand this desire to compete against a total douche bag for a girl that could be attracted to said douche. if you know the girl is attracted to a shitty human being then why would a decent person want that girl? it's an undoubtable sign of that girls own fuckedupness. but in comics girls are both physically attractive and also clueless about what makes a guy a high quality mate.

Ronald Raymond is my favorite Firestorm.
I can see the 80s comics are the only ones that matter. I grew up reading the original Firestorm and Im a big fan....of THAT Firestorm. It was Spider-Man meets Reed Richards....teen angst, insecurities, lack of knowledge/experience....but optimistic, good hearted, brave....along with a genius scientist giving him mentorship and help...almost a father/son dynamic....with the typical disagreements etc.
Perfect character...with flaws, powerful enough to match anyone's, relationship issues, etc.
Favorite issue: Firestorm vs Superman.
