Exactly in some cases you literally have to download the entire game its like the disc has not data, Back in the day you just insert the disk and start playing right away, now you just have to wait

nah, sony ps5 de is 449, so that tells you its just how much they cost. both are really struggling to cut prices this gen. after the refresh xbox lineup is: White XSX digital 449 Sparklyboi 2TB XSX 599 White 1TB Series S 349 Everything else is "while supplies last" then gone. but you see, 2 of 3 of those sku's actually went up in price. sony has been raising prices too in europe etc. it's just expensive, chips dont shrink anymore. But thats only MSRP. As always around holidays, you will see lots of crazy sales. Series X and even PS5 was 349 at times last year in November and December.
Download speeds on the series consoles are incredibly fast I see no need to spend the price of a AA game to continue to spend money on physical copies of gaming titles unless I’m on PlayStation. I’m curious to see if download speeds differ and if they are actually still using the velocity architecture in the same way
I’m hoping it’s current pricing is so they can sell some solid bundles for the holiday season because it’s been reported Sony is bundling the digital Slim with some Fortnite pack and it’ll be about $50 less than the current price on Black Friday so I’m sure Microsoft could easily beat that but I don’t think that’ll happen because it doesn’t seem like they’ll try.
the disc xbox was 350 at many retailers last christmas. so it'll be at least that, but i suspect 299. of course not until black friday though. Or, more likely they may clearance out the old disc models at 299. you might have to pay a little more for this because it's "new". Just like last year Target put the Ps5 fat on sale for 349, but not the (at that time) new PS5 slim.
imo the new white digital xb should be 380$ personally I'm not a fan of the xb without the disc drive and why anyone would pay full price for electronics when amazing thanksgiving week sales are only what, 4 - 4.5weeks away

If Microsoft stops making Xbox hardware it would be a huge lost for the industry... sadly went they're making so good and clean hardware they're in a crisis....
