Awesome video on hyperkalemia and the potassium shift. We look at the various causes of potassium efflux from a cell, as well as adrenal/renal failure.

Hey guys! I forgot to show you guys some of the EKG changes. It's super simple. At moderately high levels of K in the blood, you will see peaked (tented) T waves, where the T waves get taller and more narrow. Then, as you reach high levels of K in the blood, you will see sinusoidal wave pattern as you start to lose the integrity of the basic p, qrs, t structure of an EKG. Finally, at really really high levels, you will go into ventricular fibrillation (death). Hope this video helps! Here's a link to a video on hemochromatosis I did recently. Tell me what you think: ruclips.net/video/RfDlV6HAPJo/видео.html
