I can't emphasize enough how much it means that you are personal and engaging in your videos. Especially studying for exams for weeks when students are already brain dead and resist studying, you are a joy to watch. Thank you so much!
Hello Zach, thanks a million for teaching this hard to understand topics. you are a blessing to millions of medical students and personals. I am really thankful to you from bottom of my heart.🙏
Thanks so much for this. I have just started as a trainee critical care practitioner in the UK. Can't tell you how much this has helped and you make it so easy!
You are a gifted person, have a unique and beautiful way to teach.Your videos had help me to go through some of my nursing classes.Do you have videos about Hypo and Hypernatremia Hypo and Hypercalcemia? God bless you ❤️
Thank you so much really I mean it ,you start from the basics & really went to the excellence, the way you summaries every little detail is amazing !! We are really able to grasp the concept through your videos , great work!!🎉
You are so knowledgeable and fun to learn from. Im not even studying potassium right now, but bumped into this and had to watch. Thank you sooooo much!!! Back to my care plans now 😂
Brilliant. Searching for ages for information on hyperkalemia, this is the first time I heard of the link with NSAIDs. After a week on ibuprofen I think this explains my high level.
Surely, VGNaC would be locked in an activation state (after opening), since the new resting membrane would be above threshold and so gates would be opened. Just that they wouldn't be able to close again, since membrane potential will never return to -70mV again (repolarisation)...?
I'm in Paramedic School and we've just finished up with Pharm. We're in airway now. Intubating is fun, haha. I'm going through all of the major respiratory illnesses that are measurable via ETCO2. Been focusing heavily on acidosis and HyperK tonight, also working in why bicarb is used for specific conditions of which, bicarb is one for hyperK and Acidosis. I just found this video and I'll say I've watched maybe 10 minutes of this video and I'm understanding things a whole lot more clearly. Granted, they don't go nearly as in depth in Paramedic school as Medical School for obvious reasons, we don't diagnose at a physician's level, but we still diagnose to treat emergencies appropriately. It helps me to know the deepest of "Whys" surrounding a treatment and condition. So thank you for making these videos.
I haven't completed the lecture dat I feel I have to make comments, don't know how much to thank you, u are gifted and you choose to help others with it, may God increase u more in knowledge, expecting more of ur lectures on electrolytes derangement, thanks alot..
I love all of your videos. Your ability to dissect a bigger complicated topic into smaller simpler easy to understand points is just marvellous. Thank you
This channel and this specific video have helped me so so much in my physiology bachelor's and my nursing master's, thank you!!!! Your explanations are amazing!
I love this , but I think there is a mistake , normally when you have hyperkalemia , the resting potentiel decrease =it becomes more negative( bcz there is mush more cations in the extracellular space , and the intracellular becomes negative ) so the cell can't depolarize , and it can't contracte !
In hyperkalemia there is less negative situation inside the membrane due to abundance of potassium outside the intracellular potassium is not able to come out and there is increased resting membrane potential i.e more positive
Oh my God guy is a smart creation of God almighty please keep up with the good work! 👍you are born to teach I follow your explanations on topics I ordinarily would not make sense. Thank you to humanity!
