An excellent discussion, and I was not aware of the work of Mr. Allen, but the framing of “ambient anxiety” is extremely useful. As I was listening, I started to wonder how this thinking might be applied to a team, and, lo and behold, Mr. Allen is working on that topic right now! I’ll be sure to check out his book once it is released.
