i really love David Allen. When i lived in a house, i used many of his techniques and it kept me successful balanicng single parenthood, a high power job, a spouse, pets, friends, home improvement, and even fishing!
Now i live in my RV, on work site, full time...and ALWAYS get things done!
I also found that LESS things TO DO give you MORE SPACE to think BIG THINGS!

Its definately 2-3 hrs just to dump everything out of your mind (following his Incomplete Trigger List) Then, you have to look over the list and make sense of it, make necessary plans. Once youre up to date it prob is less time consuming.

I think you're dumping things throughout the day as well. I would recommend a weekly rhythm to write things down and make sense of them
