Top work bud heatrea sadia for some mad reason don't want you to silicone grease those washers on immersions looking forward to your next video 👍😎👍😎👍😎👍😎
Hi Dr pipe I did my f gas years ago no experience apart from car Air con, was a great experience did a week exsiting engineer City and guilds f gas 2079 passed but unfortunately couldn't get a job in the industry at the time as they wanted nvq, you can find a lot on here RUclips and if you do a course you should get references books 👍good luck, great videos.
Fabulous to have you back. Really enjoy seeing your work. Bit like I was away working for 6 weeks, came back into Toolstation, manager came out to say hello. They thought I had passed away 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great to see you've posted a new video Dr. Pipe, Sir. Welcome back, and thank you for the content. I highly recommend "Tony Muxlow Developments" refrigeration training. He trained me in F Gas, and the team there are excellent in the practical training too.
@@drpipe good answer 🤣 I had a problem with ideal classic last week I replaced a pcb board after 3 hours working blows again and I went back to diagnosis it was gas valve blowing the pcb I'm not good like you but I try to learn from different engineers and my mistakes
Always have the immersion leaking carry majority of them washers in my van they warp with overheating was that d2 in 22mm pissing my sides fuck me that’s a big one haha
great to see you back but that's not great fault finding on that Greenstar waiting for the fuse to pop - what about checking resistance readings on the components?
Resistance readings are a “ Snippet” of time at that moment. Take the moment that the supply fails it’s hot and may give totally different readings to when cool. When you know and ur paid to get stuff done... ya know. I’m not giving electrical advice just a day out at what I get up to. Clearly you can if you wish to being a certified electrician that you are 🙏🙏 I watch people give resistance readings on pumps and cringe... you cannot base findings on these and certainly not steppers in Gv as mechanical failure means it’s fooked whatever the resistance is simples.
Have a chat Daikin mate, they have a massive training centre in Scotland, presumably they will in England as well and would probably be able to show you and let you play with kit.
You've isolated the fused spur switching it off? Not removing the fuse. What if it was reversed polarity and you still had voltage coming in? A multimeter test would not pick that up, unless you test on all L and N. Be careful.
Safe isolation isn't shown in the video, many people will assume it's dead, then attempt work. You briefly mentioned how to do it. Not a fault you do, we both know people work in different ways. I like your stuff mate, you had water pissing through an electrical circuit in the bathroom. The fault was the stat leaking, but, I think you should show how to safely isolate, next time. It's not always a given.
sorry to hear about your health doc. good luck with your f gas, i've heard it's not too hard so long as you understand the refrigeration cycle. the downside is those fridge guys have to carry a lot of stuff around.
It’s been a loooooonng time since I’ve seen you popping up on my notifications! Great to see you back I always enjoy your videos

@@drpipe I totally agree, resistance readings have led me astray too often in the past, can’t beat a practical approach.

Nice to see you back Doc.
Are we gonna see more?
Yep

I was thinking the same thing
Welcome back Dr...
That worcester electrical fault... was it the transformer at fault???
Great little jobbing vid..
Yep
Great to see you back at it ..hope all is well with you..😊👍😊👍😊

All of this is True... hence why I say do what works for each one of us 🙏

why is there not a bucket collecting the drips
as a homeowner would have been the first thing i would do
Tennant life 🤣
The Pipe is back!
never seen a water heater in the attic 😂
Get used to it
@@drpipe but why not install it in the basement or closet close with the boiler so it won’t mess up the ceiling if it fail?
Clicked like and commented. Apparently, it helps.
Worth keeping those transformers from older Worcesters.
Now u now y... prob is sooooo many diff types
Should be a G38 tester. Not multi meter for safe isolation. Fyi
Hence why i said Do what you know works for you.. If not get relevant training
@@drpipe 👍
First of all bad move to put water heater in the attic and no drain tray under the heater
