Very nice and well constructed layout! I enjoyed the tour and you sharing names and areas of how you named them. Keep up the good work and send more up dates with us!
Thank you for the overview, Anthony. I like your philosophy ..... "I run what I want to run, the way I want to run it". After all, it is your model railroad, so do what works for you. It's nice the way you've named businesses and industries after family members. You've got a nice model railroad and I enjoyed the update. Thank you! Mike
thanks a lot Mike...appreciate ya viewing and commenting...yeah, I do this for fun and relaxation...and, it makes the family a part of what I'm doing and they enjoy it...Happy2025...
Incredible Anthony. I've been with you since early on in the creation of the GSB and seeing this overview has made me realise just how slow and lazy my pace is. I have a few family names attached to my layout but mostly things are named after friends. Your reference to your Grandmother made me chuckle and I thought I might do the same. Whenever we asked what she was making for supper she would say, "The same as yesterday, burnt offerings." I shall have "Edith's Burnt Offerings." There would be nothing wrong with turning your "eyesore" lift-out section into a long tree and grass lined embankment. All the best for 2025 Anthony. David.
thanks a lot David...appreciate your support in viewing and commenting over the years..."Edith's Burnt Offerings" would be a great name for a restaurant...a gras lined embankment is a good idea for the lift out, thanks...
You have such a beautiful layout Anthony! You should be very proud of what you have accomplished this past year. I also have named a number of my businesses after family members. Have a great 2025! 😊
Awesome layout, Anthony. You really did quite a bit of landscaping on your layout and kit building in 2024. Thanks for sharing your 2024 reviews. Happy 2025!
Awesome! There's almost too much to unpack here! First NS heritage units > CSX heritage units by a long ways. The pulpwood load thing didn't come from me, but good for you finding loads for those cars! I'm still really liking your GSB boxcars! Train behind it = great aquisitions! Amherst -- I'm envious of anyone who gets to go to that show. It sounds like great fun and fellowship. Maybe some year, I'll buy a plane ticket and take it in! Finally, great layout tour! You're doing a great job!
agree on the NS heritage...thanks, gotta make some more of those GSB cars in the future...Amherst, you gotta do it at least once; won't regret it...gonna try and go again next year...appreciate your support....
Great looking layout, Anthony. Has it been 4/5 years? The abandoned garment district buildings look good with the vines growing up the walls (I'd break some windows with the neighborhood ruffians standing by throwing rocks). Thanks for sharing. 👍🐾👍
Very nice Anthony. Looks like you had a good year and made lot# of progress around the layout. Why not make it easy on the duck under? Maybe make the bridge you don’t like a little and make the lift up an old earthen dike with a lot of brush, weeds and thick plants, just no trees? You know like when they try to direct a lake into on passage to make the bridge cheaper? Great job.
I hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year buddy! I love those pulpwood cars and loads! Made me think of my dad when I was a kid. We had alot of those tyco pulp cars 😂 . Of course yours are more proto typical and more realistic.. Your progress is outstanding sir! - Gary
Nice overview Anthony. You accomplished a lot this past year. I was hoping to get to Amherst this year but it won't happen. Look forward to seeing what you do in 2025.

Great overview of your great work! I’ve been following for some time now, but I (somehow) haven’t seen quite the complete overview. “Wow!” Is an understatement! And though, I’ve pretty much done a lot of ‘prototypical’ stuff on my layout, I REALLY think your philosophy is is THE ‘perfect’ way that modeling should be approached: “It’s what - I - like !!!!” Seeing your work really portrays how your interests really inspire such a fantastic product! And ‘including’ your family throughout is something very special indeed. Absolutely love it all! And looking forward to 2025! Have a very happy new year and all the best to you! John
thanks a lot John...appreciate you following along on my channel and the wonderful comment...the kids get a kick out of having businesses and industries named after them...maybe if I do another RR, I'll take the time to model more protoypical stuff, just don't have the time to do all the research and model it...Happy New Year...
Anthony you have a very nice layout. You have managed to build a lot of interesting features and industries. Magnets are still better than dowls. Lol. Mike
