    We did finally get staff Christmas parties at Northlands, for all 2000+ staff. However it was still catered by the Northlands kitchen staff. So instead of just serving the execs, they have to now serve turkey to 2000 people - thanks a lot for bringing that up Angela!

    Crib biting. Dude, horses in a stall get bored as fuck. It's an easy fix, let them loose. Let them run around out in the paddocks with other horses, being a horse. They go mad being locked up in a stall, Do that and you'll go through less wood due to crib biting... It ain't rocket science, get some staff that actually know horses...

    One thing about most of these stories is that I have yet to see a CEO who tried to make hard working people's jobs a lot easier. Maybe lower some of the expectations for instance, to lessen the burden or hire more help to ease the load ! Sure, some CEO's are very kind and caring, but the workers end up returning to some really hard working conditions, and have to hustle big time. By the way, the disguise was great !

    • @taffykins2745
      @taffykins2745 Год назад

      I've seen lots of improvements. They've added needed equipment, upgraded equipment, improved staffing levels, promoted people and more. Most people like to meet high expectations; it gives them a sense of accomplishment. To lower expectations translates to "we don't have faith in you." Nobody wants to hear that, and it just breeds ill will.

    • @taffykins2745
      @taffykins2745 Год назад

      In this story he's addressing scheduling/staffing levels and buying new tools and equipment for each department he spent time with. He's also going to get some morale building activities going and improve lines of communication so workers can be heard. That's a lot!

    I can’t believe that. (a) People fall for the dreadful wigs they always wear. And (b). What a cheapskate company giving away fuck all.
    Smaller company’s have spent 5 times what this skinflint gave.....🇬🇧

    I think if I owned any firm, I would promote from the floor up - on the inside. Nobody who had not worked through the ranks could be at the management level. And even then, there are some people who become nasty as soon as they have any authority over other people. But hiring some suit with a degree who has never done the grunt work of producing the product or providing the service - no. They have to have the callouses on their hands and know exactly how hard it is for the people in the trenches before they make any decisions that will affect the workers.

    • @taffykins2745
      @taffykins2745 Год назад +1

      No, it depends on the business. You can't expect an office cleaner to magically become an attorney or a tax accountant. The suits with degrees know their stuff the same way the people with callouses know their profession.

    The need to have totally unnecessary music in the background - more like foreground - when the boss was interviewing his employees is just plain moronic.

    I feel they could have given the first black girl moving and hours work $1000.00 for her to take
    her mother and sisters out i would have given $5000.00 to move her life along. He didn't know how
    she lives. I would also like him to tell each person please call me if I can advice or help you.
    I expect more out of these CEO's because did you hear the turn over where she was work?????
    Learn to listen and investigate every word matter.

    With most companies, they have no idea about the frontline workers. Unfortunately these shows are all STAGED, these people know it's the boss, and this guy is cheap as fuck. I hope these hard workers find another company they can go to, where they will be appreciated for REAL. The CEO's rake home the big bucks with no care in teh world about who works for them, most places have high turn overs regardless.

      The fist girl who makes regular donations to the cancer society, he donated $2,000 in her name. He also flew her mom in from Rowanda and paid for the hotel for the gal and her mom and siblings for the week. Paid time off.
      The second guy got an extra week paid vacation, round trip airfare for 2 to New Orleans, a week in a nice hotel, and $1,000 spending money for his honeymoon.
      The next gal was given $1,500 towards her schooling and he will mentor her. She was given an extra week paid time off and a weeks rental at a nice western Canadian resort for her and her 2 boys. They like outdoor activities so this has everything they like!
      The last guy was given 2 weeks paid vacation, 2 round trip tickets to India, and $4,000 for a safari to see black panthers.
      I don't know why he's a cheapskate, he sounds super generous to me! Lol!

      Early in my career, after walking away from microbiology I ended up working in medical conferences, logistics Etc... Major citywide conventions such as this. I welcomed the opportunity to work in different departments. I had worked with a major five-star hotel chain the previous year which was japanese-owned at the time. We were all cross-trained and I welcomed it. If I'm going to get on the phone and "tell" a department what to do I want to know what that job entails before I ASK them!
