Sound City has always stood out to me as a brand that everyone respects, and their history is nothing short of incredible. After years of enjoying my Sound City Studio 20 on my own, I finally decided to share its full range in a video. I’d be honored if you’d be interested in checking it out.
Note the Fryette stacks on display... I met Steve in about 1980-81. He played in a band called the Pencils and I think was an amp tech at the great Valley Arts Guitar store in No Ho. I wound up buying a Hiwatt 100 watt half stack from him for a crazy price like $500. Fabulous amp. He had modded it with a cooling fan and probably other stuff. Wish I still had that amp!

I like the double parallel white piping. Stevie can play!
Really helps improve the tone!
So why are you filming the man talking and not the amp?
Thx
Perfect sounding amp. Way too much money though
Without the slim knobs with different coloured ends it just seems wrong
Sounds REALLY good, but it's REALLY too expensive!!!!!
did they mention price?
$1,995 said at the 3:07 mark
holy hell. way way too much. they were on he opposite end of the spectrum with the last line of SC30's!
thats so disappointing.
Yea, exactly! I was very interested until he said the price! These prices on 1x12 combos are going crazy in a lot of brands.
Yeah madness. I have a LOT of amps in my studio, but i wouldn't dream of paying that kind of money
GREAT LOOKING AMP BUT SOUNDS THIN TO MY EAR WITH A STRAT GUITAR,
