Last time I visited Syria in 2008, when I was a 9 year old kid, it was a prosperous country...We lived near the Latakia Port and it was so amazing and I have fond memories of playing football in the neighborhood and eating special delicacies everyday. We visited Aleppo, Homs and Damascus and at that time it was flooded with western tourists and picturesque buildings....That 2011 Arab Springs, Civil war and further attacks have dented the country but not the spirits of people living there who survived the war....Kuddos to Paramvir sir to bring the Present Syrian life.....

Literally I cried when I saw the buildings. People are living in fear. People are so friendly. The boy who talks to you made my cry. They are so innocent. Oh god please stop the civil war. But the fact and fear of ethnic cleansing and the war between govt and FSA still takes place as skirmishes... Their country has been destabilized in a covert proxy conflict between SYR-Russia-IRN on one side, and the US-barbaric Gulf dictatorships on the other.
The media (propaganda ultimately controlled by a few companies and influential individuals) likes to present it as a confusing proxy conflict, but in reality there are only two sides.
The foreign backed “rebels” weakened the SYR hold on several key areas of the country, and *conveniently* the US came in quickly to loot the oil wells, which they still occupy.
The Western oligarchs couldn’t destroy the key industrial areas overtly themselves (there wouldn’t be any international support), hence they did it under the pretext of wiping out their own “rebels”. The result was a permanent divide and conquer of SYR.
What is the result? A country (SYR) within Russia’s sphere of influence has been divided and conquered similar to others in the region. This is the method the colonial powers found most effective 100 years ago, and they still use it in present day.
The Western Oligarchs prefer to deal with their own compliant puppet dictators (that they control) or weakened countries where they can exploit the natural resources (oil, natural gas, rare earth elements) smoothly and set up a Central Bank where they can indebt the population.
The Western oligarchs control the US and naturally have been involved in genocide, thus they are fully capable of causing issues in regions where they want to extract natural resources :
