In this video, we look at addition polymers. First we explore what is meant by an addition polymer, a monomer and the repeating unit. I give you several addition polymers and ask you to work out the monomer and repeating unit. We then finish by looking at the role of plasticisers.
This video is aimed at the UK A Level Chemistry specifications. Students studying International A Level Chemistry will need to check their specification.

This guy has been there more than most people. Respect!
Thank you so much for this! I’m doing it now and have a test on it in an hour, I didn’t know you did a level too!!
Without this guy I would have failed science
Thank you, for my a2 level i need to know some synoptic content from AS so this is a very helpful summary!
hi there i hope you are doing well, id also like to thank you dearly as your helping me out alot by uploading content to help up with our exams so id like to thank you on behalf of everyone, but i was just writing to request some new playlists or update them in the future or something because of the topics that been reduced by aqa especially for gcse, so if you can could you try and do something maybe do a new playlist titled "updated gcse paper 2 bio 2022" as it would be really helpful. if you cannot do what i am asking for i can understand and i cannot really complain as you are helping the nation out with your amazing fun lessons.
I hope you dont take offence to what i am saying as i really do enjoy your videos but i thought id just say.
have a wonderful day and thanks for your phenomenal work.
Omg thank you so much I was early to this and helped me!
Thanks alotttttttttt for helping me!
Hi Shaun.
As you may heard, the GCSE advanced information for science has come out.
If it's possible, please can you make a playlist of the videos that will be in the GCSE 2022 papers. (Exam board AQA)
It's a bit hard for us students to interpret the information given, you know, like maybe if a sub topic may or may have not been mentioned, or any information that isn't as clear to the student.
Thank you
Nice
lifesaver
thankyouuu
you're a literal hero
DO THIS VIDEOS ALSO FOLLOW CIE CAMBRIDGE BOARD ?
IT WOULD REALLY HELP IF YOU RESPOND AND THANKS ALOT YOU'RE REALLY DOING A GREAT JOB AND HAVE NO IDEA OF THE AMOUNT OF BLESSEING YOU ARE GETTING:)
Hi. These videos are not written based on the CIE Cambridge board. However, there will be a lot of overlap with the UK A level specifications but you will need to check your spec.

Free science lessons> mr hegarty
so does he do vids on OCR for a-levels..?
Why does the mark scheme of a question asking for repeat unit saids “ignore brackets/ n “
In that question, they were simply assessing whether students could draw the structure of the repeating unit. The brackets and "n" were not being assessed.
U welsh?
