- this one took me a while to get in one go, had a close call earlier today but I missed a parry on the final boss and freaked out. Almost happened again at the very end. I love doing the Marked for Death thing too, obviously makes things harder but I absolutely loved it. Great fuckin update.

I am so glad Big John wormed his way into ULTRAKILL I guess He went to hell and became a cyborg after we killed him in dusk. Also sad to see Stalkers getting the shaft after Greed, They've only showed up one time in both Wrath and Violence (and one time in Heresy if you count P-2) hope we see them more in Fraud and Treachery.
I understand hakita's hesitation in using them, they completely prevent you from healing, a pretty damning punishment in a game where you are mainly encouraged to get up in the enemies' faces to heal

some silly little ultratalk:
at the end of this layer (exit of 7-4) we can see that the exit is located on a rock structure that seems to be very dark and grim in color. So here's another one of my silly assumptions,
according to dante's inferno (which ultrakill is based off) the fraud layer is a dark abyss. So seeing the coloration of the rock at 7-4 exit means that fraud in ultrakill will indeed be dark and lacks lighting, this may also be chance for the flashlight feature from 7-3 to be used more.

Good update, nearly cried trying to beat 7-4 for the first time and spent 23 minutes searching for the skull in 7-2 because I am the dumb.
No joke took me a sec to find that skull too. Forgot about that middle arena.
I once beat the final encounter in 7-4 with only 10 seconds left and the final door didn’t open. It must’ve been a glitch, because it worked on my next successful attempt.
this gameplay is absolutely CLEAN
Watching this all I can think is: " A railcoin feels like tactical nuke" I have yet to figure out how to practice most the of techs shown in a repeatable way for me. I am in awe and loving this... demonstration of what can be done

Video game development is fundamentally something else when you start to propose skill ceilings at this level. It's hard to fathom and makes me feel very simple indeed.

That final level feels like a Turbo Overkill (a highly obscure boomer shooter) homage made into a single level. Everything about that level, goddamn it's good

The final boss is prolly a Metroid nod more than anything, but I can't help but see Venus' core from Rez, so i appreciate the obscure games

I had no idea about the insta of I'm being honest lmao. Would have made things a LOT easier for me.
Guttermen are really easy to deal with once you realize they get stunned a bit when you break their shields. you can just unload the shotgun into them, and throw the feedback when they try to punch you when they recover. then they go down shortly after that.

Herb, new tech just dropped. Agaisnt guttertanks, 1.magnet the tank 2. freeze its rocket 3. ride its frozen rocket 4. jump off and unfrezze. Insta kills it
This also grants the special style bonus "+roundtrip." Another fun exclusive bonus, "+landyours," is gained by parrying a mine back into the same tank that placed it.

I've gotten every p-rank in this layer except 7-4, and that should be in the bag once I can kill the security system quicker. Otherwise, it's always nice to get videos like these so I have a general idea of what to do. Much appreciated as always!
The japanese text on the warning labels of the earthmover likely means it was built in japan. Makes me think of ”the wine rises”. People made this, engineering enthusiasts who loved their craft and built their machines to perfection. Only to be used for war and death

I love how the other machines think they stand a chance against V1 when it was designed to take down earthmovers,

fighting minotaur made me think it would be cool if there was a weapon (or the gold arm) that could reflect the damage you take (for maybe like a 0.5 second window) back to the dealer (would be cool to be able to pary minotaur’s big red explosion) maybe it would work as the gold arm and it would have a cooldown like railcannon (yeah this is totally out there but it would be fun)
herb, do you feel like the mannequins might need a slight hp nerf? i personally think they're a bit too tanky for how elusive and hard to hit they are
Nah, I think their hp feels pretty good. Any less and they'd just melt. That sharpshooter is really nice for taking them out, and when they're on a wall or ceiling they're considered aerial so they'll take super explosion damage.
if you deal them ANY damage while clinging to a wall, they fall, and while theyre falling a feedbacker punch instakills
ah yeah good points, i just wish I could have an easier time taking them down without having to rely on one of the three ways to instakill
They're really easy to deal with, they give you a free parry with that silly projectile they throw so you refill your HP very easily, and ocassionally come to point blank really fast so you can melt them.
I did at first but feedbacker deals with them nicely. Plus no explosions, they don't really do much damage.

I love how the RL is very prominently used, with proboosts and stomp storage jumps and such I never saw potential in it, the cannonball is pretty cool for extra dmg and stuns but I cobsidered freezeframe to be completely useless or niche (I don't play the CG) but I had no clue it had effect on the guttertanks, that'll ease up my strat against them which was just "shoot til it dies lmao" up until now.
Serious Sam 4 fans (they're existing?) are crying. Seeing actually working boss which IS arena is amazing!

i see alot of runs of 7-1. just know, you can get 3000 points within that first room if you setup/combo properly. for those struggling to p rank the rest becuase of style, this may help you.
The hardest part of the layer for me was trying to figure out how to lower the gate by the under construction area lol. I found 4 secrets in the level before I lowered it
