As a kid growing up in the 80s, you could find at least a half dozen of these in every parking lot. It seemed every school administer was driving one of these. It's in great shape (had to be some old principal that kept it in a garage) and you won't break the bank maintaining it with after-market parts. The interior is magnificent (from my perspective, brand new) for a 40 year old car. It's quiet on the road too.
I had two in the 90’s a 84 Cutlass and a 87 Cutlas, such simple and easy maintenance cars too work on you could do half the work on the car yourself with only the basic knowledge of cars!
@@Fucktheworld14020 It wasn't the best quality, but at least it wasn't too complicated or a complete hassle to do it yourself. Those days are long gone. I hope they come back.
This car brings back so many awesome, and wonderful, memories! My grandparents had one, a dark blue one, back in the latter part of the 1980s, when I was around 10yo, or under. So many great times we all had when I was a kid in that car; so many outings we had, and trips to restaurants, and everywhere else too. My gpa passed in 1999, and my gma continued to drive it until it finally died, ironically, not too long after that. My gma didn't pass away until the middle of 2020, during Covid but thankfully, not from, or due to that, so there are only memories that remain now. This video, randomly appearing in my feed, especially on New Years Eve, was a nice surprise though, one which brought back a lot of great memories. Thank you. 🙂
That Olds 307 is a good and reliable motor, it doesn't make a ton of power and you'd be better off swapping it for a chevy 350 if you really want access to power via cheap mods. But the motor as is will last forever, my family had a 1983 Buick Electra Wagon with the same motor and it was pretty much indestructible. We also had the same exhaust leak noise, it was the header gaskets. Dad and I knocked out that fix on a Saturday afternoon.
I like this cutlass its so minty and for it being a plain vinyl interior it has a leather wrapped steering wheel rallypack gage cluster very rare combo
Love these Oldsmobiles!. My mother had a Cutlass Supreme 4dr and was a 6cyl I believe. And it really was so comfortable that the passengers might have to worry about the driver falling asleep lol. Great car in great shape for a great price Nick!. Thanks for sharing and I bet this will sell fast. Also a Happy New Year to everyone at Maple Motors and all here. 🙏🙏 Edit: I'm not the most observant person and why after posting it I read it sold lol, whomever bought it will not doubt enjoy it and my hope is they leave it as is and just enjoy cruising around. Thanks again Nick and I hope/pray 2023 is a great year for Maple Motors 🤞🙏🙏
Very nice crusier. I'm a sucker for a nice Cutlass. Speaking of Grandma's car, years and years ago I had a good friend with a white '83 Brougham, full power with a burgundy plush pillowtop interior it was grandma's car with grandma's wire wheels and all.. but it hauled balls, hauled us everywhere we needed to go as twenty something year old kids, it was like riding on a cloud.
@0:05 Just then, the rear view mirror fell off the windshield and got stuck between the drivers floor mat and gas pedal, sending the unoccupied Cutlass into a crowd of innocent bystanders across the street….
This is an odd ball optioned car, a v8 supreme with no ac or power windows, most supremes came pretty much standard with all that. I dont think ive every seen another one like that
So I take it someone was laying down when it was driving with no one behind the wheel. Beautiful car. My grandma had one back in the day. That's when they made a great car.
This was my first car. Bought it used in 1989. I had the V6, though. It was the same color and had a vinyl roof that I replaced because it was peeling. I got rid of it at 130K miles. I can’t remember why.
That has to be an estate car some old person bought it new and passed away those are some of the best cars to get your hands on because they are rarely abused
Bought my first Cutlass Supreme coupe in 1988 it was a 1983 Brougham w/ half vinyl and it was 5 yro. like new inside and out, I paid $5995 for it and kept it 8 yrs. Gave to my oldest son when he was in the 12th grade. He loved that car. 5 yro. cars cost $15,000 today.
Love love love g body's monte Carlo, regals, cutlass had a unique shifter called lighting shifter if I'm not mistaken i always wondered how those worked lol 😂 anyway nice car
I was thinking the same thing, I think the mileage is original on this car. We had a white '83 Supreme back in the early 80's. My dad had the catalytic converter bypassed and that bad boy ran like a scalded eagle. It was a great car for our family and I have fond memories of it. Someone will be getting a hidden gem of a car. Oh ya, I knew the horn was going to work...LOL
If I was a kid Id rather my dad buy me that and then I slowly go for the LS3 conversion and 3000 watt audio system instead of a new Mustang or Charger.
Had one of these before. Torque was great and power was authoritative until you hit 2800 rpm or so and then you hit the brick wall for acceleration as it would rev much higher but with no forwarded momentum whatsoever. Just the way the engine was built with all the emissions control purposefully keeping it from breathing any higher.
My Mom owned the same car same color. She regretted selling it. She said it was the best car she ever owned. Miss you momma.
I absolutely am thrilled about the self driving capabilities of this olds.

We had those cars on every street corner back home

Absolute gem that WILL sell fast! Honest condition shows it lived a pampered life and was garage stored.
This olds is in solid shape looks like show room condition steal at this price

That wax the good old days
Nice clean Olds.. had the exact car with a 1970 - 455 in it and it was so much fun .. melt the tires for a city block. 👍🏼
I had a 82 with the same engine, was originally a 350 diesel car. Had to take out the heater box to squeeze it in.
I like this cutlass its so minty and for it being a plain vinyl interior it has a leather wrapped steering wheel rallypack gage cluster very rare combo
Horns gonna work .
I just bought an 85 Cutlass Supreme. I'm working on restoring it. That car is a beauty.
I loved these old cruisers back in the 80s i could only afford a 78 model cutlass but i loved it.

My Uncle Sherman had one of these back in the day beautiful car never seen it break down and always kept it clean.
Thats a super nice Cutlass . I had 3 Cutlass Supremes and 2 Monte Carlos . If I had the chance that would be added to that number for sure
I have a 79 currently and I have owned a 85 cutlass I would love this 83
I'd buy it and just daily it.
My dad had one with a 350. Very nice riding cars and quiet too
Wow, it does work..loud too
I remember when my family got a 85 back in 1993 for $500
What a beautiful Car!!!❤️❤️❤️
Granny probably parked it when she heard an exhaust leak
Lil high on the price, like all the rest, but I believe this is a very quality creampuff. Very nice. Wheel/tire and be stylin'.
i agree.....people pay these inflated prices and drive the market up.....shouldnt have to pay that much for that car
That's the car I learned to drive in when I was 12 years old . You could get away with that kinda thing down in bama in the 80s
I had one years ago bought it from an elderly couple for $2,000 in mint conditions and low miles can't believe what they sell for now!!
Very nice crusier. I'm a sucker for a nice Cutlass.

I'm not a government motors guy but I like this car
I owned one of those in 1994. Everyone wanted to steal it.
My first car was a 1978 olds cutlass supreme Broughm I loved it, it floated down the road perfectly.
@0:05 Just then, the rear view mirror fell off the windshield and got stuck between the drivers floor mat and gas pedal, sending the unoccupied Cutlass into a crowd of innocent bystanders across the street….
Another fast sale, ASAP. I'd buy it. Getting closer to owning. Cash is my way. No Leans.
Love it! Had an 85 back in the day with T-tops. Fun car once I pulled all the smog crap off of it!
This is an odd ball optioned car, a v8 supreme with no ac or power windows, most supremes came pretty much standard with all that. I dont think ive every seen another one like that
I hear ya. Guage package, tilt steering wheel, sport steering wheel, right side mirror, but Vinyl Interior. Most had the cloth.
Im with you on the options. Especially no air.
So I take it someone was laying down when it was driving with no one behind the wheel. Beautiful car. My grandma had one back in the day. That's when they made a great car.
I miss my '85 Cutlass Supreme Brougham Edition...my first car. I never should have sold it
This was my first car. Bought it used in 1989. I had the V6, though. It was the same color and had a vinyl roof that I replaced because it was peeling. I got rid of it at 130K miles. I can’t remember why.
Little sister had one of these, bought from Hertz fleet sale. Turned out to be a great car.
This old beauty has definitely had some granny lovin'. What a steal at that price.
That has to be an estate car some old person bought it new and passed away those are some of the best cars to get your hands on because they are rarely abused
This is another great cars specially the Cutlass Supreme I think is in great shape no problem 👍
This would make the best LS sleeper...
My first car when I was 16 was an 84 cutlass supreme. Gorgeous ride! Wish I had seen this, I would have bought it.

Must have been a special order car. Gauges and teach no air and not power windows. Rare ride!
Watching this car roll across the parking lot and then not seeing anyone behind the wheel had me tripping out a little.
I know.
How did they do that?
lmao i thought the same thing i thought i was seeing a glitch in the matrix LOL!! or the driver was green screened out the video
I'd still proudly drive that on the roads as a daily.
Que máquina!!!👍top demais!!!😮
Been one of my favorite dream G body cars since I was a kid
Clean Cutlass, like it.☺️
Appreciate the variety of shots u get of u rides.
Love love love g body's monte Carlo, regals, cutlass had a unique shifter called lighting shifter if I'm not mistaken i always wondered how those worked lol 😂 anyway nice car

It did sell fast
Nice 👍 passed my license test on a car like this my dad had one burgundy color 6 cylinder back in 97
I knew someone that had one of these and it had a diesel engine in it

Fun cars but even with the cat removed the 307 v8 was hardly a performance engine.
@@kskip4242 True but sure gave the car a bit more pep. My dad wasn't looking to race or anything like that, just a little performance boost.
Those old GM cats really choked the engine up. A delete plus a nice muffler frees up some power and a sweet sound too.
@@KsKaylor Yep exactly.
I would trade my Rolex for this car. My first car at 16 in 2000. This one is beautiful.
What a Nice oldsmobile so cheap perfect car 🤟 😊 😊 oldsmobile Are just so awsome, thanks Nick great video stay cool 😎 😎 😊 🤟 😊
Sounds like a manifold leak
@@alexanderfields6449 i think you Are right
Nice G body I'd love to be able to afford it. Love these cars
This was always one of my dream cars when I was younger very nice car
25:05 so when you close the hood, “Now it’s shut.” Interesting. Was this unique to the 83’, or were all years’ hoods shut once you closed them?
Freshen up the engine, along with a mild cam. Add headers and dual exhaust, then call it done.
What a beautiful car! Underbody is outstanding, no wonder it sold fast! Great car, great price = Sold
Beautiful
I would run some headers and some borla exhaust. And just leave it stock
Me two
VERY CLEAN
What a time capsule. Back in the day I had a 1984 Regal. These were cool cars. Too bad there is no moon roof or t-tops. Sweet car.
Clean car nice
Nice car, Nick. Maybe for the wife if she doesn't have a car?
Absolutely fantastic cars!!! Can't go wrong w this one! 👍 😎
Nick ⭐️
You got my attention with this car!
I see they got Claude Rains to drive it in for the intro. 🤔

Love this's old's cars and I'm an import guy lol

Had a soft top. Loved that car
83 Cutty. My first car ever!
Very clean.
Nice car but I like automatics on the floor with bucket seats alot cooler
Could be leaking from the exhaust manifold but overall great shape
Wow nice very clean car . Not a muscle car but one your not seeing much of any more these days
My mom had a 84 almost identical growing up in the 80’s. My mom’s had a console shifter .
Great price
Do you have layaway ?
First car of my very own was the broughm edition
nice variety o models
If I was a kid Id rather my dad buy me that and then I slowly go for the LS3 conversion and 3000 watt audio system instead of a new Mustang or Charger.
Super clean cutty🤌🏽 I love oldsmobiles had a few myself but never a cutlass I always wanted one though
I had an 86 V6 and had my eye on a 442 same body style and era.
How is that car moving all by itself.
I remember my dad had one back in the day.
If no one buys by Friday I will
I LOVE IT
Nice ride!
See how cars from 2023 look in 40 years wonder how good the gaskets and glass will be?
Those were notorious for exhaust leaks can here a tic too
Hell of an exhaust leak!! But clean
I love it wish I had the $ for it they are hard to fine most of them went to dirt tracks or drag
