Born and raised in Battle Creek Michigan I went to school with and Damien and we was good friends with his family!!

Goodness this is a sad ending. I dont see any mentions of them or tributes at all putting LaFace on the map. (As far as i know) This is my first time hearing of them to be honest. I loved this duo, they came out when I was in middle school. I remember hearing the news of Dame passing away in a car accident but I didn't know Damian had also passed away so soon after 😥. They were the coolest.
Just heard about them for the 1st time ever 😅. They were quite underrated; that era of music ie *our music* was just 🔥
I wouldn't say that they were underrated, there was just so much talent in music during that time period
This story was always sad to me. Their video soul interview was insightful and she had such a cute voice and she was FINEAF! (Apollo Performance) RIP to them both!

Not only do I remember their hits, but I remember the breaking news of Dame’s passing. I found out about Damien a few months after he died. Artists with so much potential are handed devastating tragedies. I lost my cassette album from them 10 years ago. But I still have the cassette single of “Gotta Learn My Rhythm”. God rest their souls. Happy New Year to you and your family, Queen. 💖💖💖
Such a tragic story. I’ll always remember Chilli getting her start with them. Great video. I wonder if we can get Megan Rochelle or Alexis Jordan next. Two promising Def Jam talents that never got their deserved success.

I had a conversation with Damian in 1995 at a club in Kalamazoo Michigan It was obvious he was intoxicated on something, nevertheless I enjoyed my encounter with him, So sad he was such a talent!

Correction on my comment yesterday subway was a group in the 1990s the song was called this little game we play featuring 702.
Thank you! I loved their music and I always wondered what happened to them. I found out back in 2005 that both members passed away and 2 years apart on the same date. I saw it on the R&B music channel with Comcast that gave you facts about the artist. I was blown. RIP to D&D!! 🕊🕊
