You know Stacey, sometimes when I open YT in the morning before my 1h drive to my office, I don`t want to click on the mindset reset, cause I know it's going to slap me in the face a couple times. I did myself some emotional damage and now I`m struggling lately. Studying daily and looking for ALL setups made me mix up stuff and I noticed that I am not focused enough during livetime. I spoke with my wife yesterday about my progress and we both concluded that I need to focus on ONE (1!) setup and master that one to perfection. Your slap in the face comes exactly on time.

Ive worked trading forex for the pass four years not consistently and this year Ive been trying to stay focus and consistent. I traded NQ today stop hunt in the first hour shorten W in second hour engulfing at 9:35 price was in the buy area of the 100 pip box pull the trigger after NY open 5 minute TF. 👍🏿

I want to really go back and study NRD day 0 templates like gold yesterday with the FRD cherry on top. I really like FRD/FGD and wedsnsday/fri day 3 3DC. One chart pattern that I also want to study is once a 3rd (major) push is made outside of the opening range(Monday) like gold lst week. These will be the things I’m going to be mastering. I feel like I’m close to mastering them, but for my journeys sake, I’m gonna say I’m not even close 🙏 But that’s the beauty of this thing, it’s a journey not a destination. I hope to be like our guy Al Brooks , God willing, and reading when im 75! Loving everyday waking up doing what i love. A lot of people waste their efforts and money in trying to beat the market. The market doesn't care about you and it doesn't know you, just take care of your psychological and financial capital. This can only happen if you know what you are looking for. Be a cherry picker for the best trade setups. 1% better everyday, thank you mentor.
When you say "the trade sets up", what does that look like? How can I identify what the early process looks like so I can actually take the trade. I have been watching your videos but I haven't seen you explain the early "setup" faze in depth.
It’s either a trend trade or reversal. Can be either a DNP or PND “Markets only do 3 things” If you have a 3 day set up. It has the potential force behind it to complete the move
Adding to what Stacey said, and has repeatedly mentioned over past few months - pick a setup to master, e.g. First Red Day and then do your home work, find the 10 best examples from the charts and study the main price patterns … you’re looking for patterns / shapes that look similar to how price is setting up. FRD is a signal, there are a number of ways the next day / session could setup for a High of Session, Day, Week sell (that’s the target).
Hi Stacey , great motivation as always thank you ! Mastery of a Setup is the Key that will give traders the edge they need to succeed in the markets. Now how do we track these Setups...through hindsight ! Fellow traders who struggle must try to understand the power of hindsight. Like Stacey always says , Hindsight Pays !!! Just imagine if they ( The Market ) wipe the charts and start fresh everyday and there is nothing to look back on , how on earth do we ( retail traders ) then ever stand a chance of ever making a cent in trading. That will make it impossible to ever stand a chance to compete in the markets. Hindsight is the golden footprint that allows us to follow the money trail and to spot the Setups. Master one Setup like Stacey says and then expand your toolbox with more. Rinse and repeat and later on it will become second nature removing all the unnecessary stress you previously had. I am reminded of a clip by SMB Capital. People talk a lot about psychology. How much time do we spend with new traders on psychology ?The answer is zero. Our edge IS OUR PSYCHOLOGY.
Are you using market order or limit order or stop order? My experience is that limit and stop orders will not get filled when the market is moving very fast. Furthermore my experience is that wide stops are much better. As you know I am a 100% automatic algorithmic trader and my algorithms trades 23 hours - 2 hours, 5 days a week. That means more than 50 trades per day. And it works for me.

What happened to gold? Was waiting for the 3 days of rise to short on Wednesday. Instead it tanked on Tuesday and kept going throughout Wednesday. Where did I go wrong?

Market is broken down. It had 3DBO last week and its continuing the “trend” for now
