Nice review. And you’re right about spending a few extra bob on good boots. I buggered my knees with crap boots while in the military. A nice pair of boots would have saved me a lot of aggravation.
Thanks for the video, I’m looking for a long term solution for my casual boots, (all I wear are my work boots with safety toe or combats) I bought a cheap pair of 511s last year and they didn’t last. Going to grab a pair of these at the local gear store tomorrow!
@@thetimebombardier 3 years too late but the boot works exceptionally well for me too. Despite it being waterproof, I am still able to wear it comfortably in the hot and humid weather of SG, I wore it for hikes, runs, and other activities to test the boot out. It truly works great on multiple surfaces be it rocks, sand, concrete, metal, etc. However recently, I started noticing that the toe box might be too small and cause pain in my toes after walking about 8km. It started to be a bigger problem after my first 30 km walk where my toes hurt after every step during the 25km. Currently, the boot is still in good condition and keeps my feet dry during rainy days in the country. I might consider getting another pair of waterproof boots to address this prob, but I'm not sure whether the Danner tfx g3 would be a suitable solution since I've read reviews about how it pinches your ankle on Danner's site. I'm not really sure whether there are any other waterproof boots out there in the market that can do the same as the Tanicus dry without having insulation in them.
@@COMET_C01 hey bud yeah been a while 😅😅 mine are still holding up well but I've not been on long distance stretches recently, family and work keeping me otherwise occupied!! Annoying that toe box aspect tho, have you considered changing the inner sole?

hahaha thanks dude and yeah once the knees go there is little chance of getting them back!!
Nice review, well done! Can I wash The boots after an excursion in the mountain?
Hey Javier thanks bud and yes I've been scrubbing mine for a while and still work brilliantly 😎👍

@@thetimebombardierI haven’t actually, does changing the inner sole helps?
@@COMET_C01 thinking it might be worth a try as it should reposition your foot and less costly than a new pair of boots 😎👍
How is the sizing on these compared to your usual foot sizing or sneaker size?
Hello mate - with them being american sizing i had to size up 2 on uk sizes 😎😎👍👍
Nice boots but I prefer solar power with waveceptor.. in all seriousness, these are great in the deep new england snow..
hey James yeah i can well imagine :D we had a light sprinkling of snow here and nearly stopped the country...!!!
Great video very informative
Cheers Brian 😋👍
Vietnam has become a country that makes a lot of high quality footwear.
Cheers Steven yup I was there earlier this year and went past the adidas factory there, was very impressed!!
What kind of socks do you suggest for wearing this boots?
Hey bud - both sport and wool worked well for me with these 👍👍😎😎
are these non slip at all?
Hey ghostii for me they have been yup 😎😎
i have most of the danner military boots, id say the Tanicus is the most comfortable. no vibram sole, but still very good.
Hey John thanks bud and these are still going strong 👍💪 i almost want them to wear.out so i can get a new pair 😅😅
@@thetimebombardier to be honest, i think ill get myself a second pair.
