Except Zach sucked judging the ball as a returner. He fair caught or allowed everything to be a touchback this past season. When Lemon took over kick return duties it was a massive improvement.
smart move!! USC is a .500 team for the foreseeable future.. Zero chances at even getting close to a Big10 Championship game and negative chances to get to the CFP... Go join a contender young man!
@@rocfitness5747 USC is calling Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, Mich and Indiana daddy now.. They have a stranglehold on the BIG10 and will have for years... USC best option is admit they are only going to be Mid and join the Mountain West.. Nobody wanna stay at USC and go .500... nobody.. Lincoln Riley gonna bail too cause of the heat and go to UCF where being Mid is acceptable..
Zach is a prime example of players being overhyped in high school only to be exposed in college. He is fast but not explosive. He is not a reciever and could not get separation. He lost his punt return duties during the season also. Nice kid but not impactful. Good luck to him.
@@Miya-wr7sp Have you watched him play this year? Dropped passes, not getting separation, calling fair catches on punt returns when he has plenty of space to run, poor route running, can't catch contested balls, keeps running backward when he does catch the ball, too much celebration on every catch. Like I said I really think he is a good kid and I like his personality, and mind you, I don't want to lose him because I think he is a good locker room guy, but as far as USC actually losing a productive wide receiver, he was not that.
@@marinz4lifeHe was good as a freshman, regressed heavily as a sophomore when teams started to game plan for him. He’s good in open space, but for someone with such heralded timed speed he really struggled to get separation in man coverage or stretch the field vertically this past season. He also regressed massively as a returner opting to fair catch numerous fieldable kicks and eventually relinquishing his kick return duties to the less explosive, but much more productive Makai Lemon.
@ USC - in general - is garbage. Quit blaming these individual players for what amounts to a systemic issue. USC has died repeating a series of status quo decisions; adapt or die.
Very underwhelming this year. Too many wasted targets on him this year at the expense of the better receivers who could actually go up and catch the ball. Zion has a lot of potential if he can stay healthy
I’m so glad Cryin Ryan and Lincoln “.500” Riley are locked in place with unpayable buyouts. They’ll keep those universities stuck in the mud for a decade 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I was thinking to myself if he was going to enter the portal next year or stay at usc. I thought he was going to enter the portal after his freshman season.
@ Bust is probably too harsh a word, he certainly has not been able to contribute to the level we all hoped. That being said, there’s really not much of a role for him left on the team, he doesn’t have the route running prowess of McClellan and Lowe, he doesn’t have the raw speed and explosiveness of Dakorian Moore, he doesn’t have the upside anymore of a Dallas Wilson, and he can’t return kicks or punts. I really wanted to believe Kasper and Dickey would achieve their ceiling, but I’ve moved on. I’d rather see those two try to find a softer landing place like Oregon State or Cal or something, and get a Zachariah Branch to be your new Tez, a return master with breakaway speed in the horizontal pass game
Such a generalized list. Colorado could use both for replacing LaJhontay and Shilo. Ryan Williams from Bama would be a great replacement for the Trojans tho!
USC is making some big necessary changes. The o-line/OC coach is gone. Branch brothers are gone. Zach did not execute this year and he would have to earn his playing time going forward. Riley will take back full OC duties and maybe the TE coach moves over to o-line or there is a new coach. Fewer 5 star receivers will allow them to focus targets on the top receivers - Lemon and Lane and they have young talent coming in. Maybe need 1 more receiver in the portal. The o-line struggled through most of the year, even though Henson has been the coach for 3 years. Miller Moss had a real ceiling and Maiava is much better, just needs reps to cut down on mistakes and hone connection with receivers. As long as Lynn and Belk and Hennie remain at the program, it is all fine. Defense will be better and offense will get back on track.
College football is a joke. No loyalty from coaches or players. Next we are going to see coaches leave every year too if they don’t make the playoffs. No roster retention with it changing every year really!?!? Who does this make sense to!?! NFL players don’t have one year contracts so why should college football!?!
Coaches sign actual contracts with penalty and buy out clauses. The reason players can transfer so spontaneously is because the NCAA hasn’t set any guardrails on the relatively new transfer portal and NIL and they’re not contractually obligated to anyone. The NIL era is the wild wild west right now. Unlike in the NFL there’s no waivers, salary caps, draft, free agency, rookie contacts, unions, etc. It’s all adding up to college football becoming one giant shi*tshow.
Come to Michigan! They have the number 1 2025 class QB in the wings and Moore is building a monster O-Line! African American coach who cares about African American players/students!

Out of all the teams that were mentioned, I didn't hear Oklahoma at all and they need receivers like last year
Man people see ou on the downside. Need to have a better year with significant improvement on the OL

We just got John lol
