Awesome
Nirvana- figuring out badass riffs.
Cameraman- figuring out the world.

it's Dive dumbass....
@Scott Farquharson it's fucking Dive...."real" Nirvana fans I see....
Daniel Cockricket what is dive?
Camera man dropped acid and starts his trip as soon as he realizes how beautiful the ceiling lights look.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know.. Go figure?? 🤔
Kurt was playing for generations in the future. I simply cannot imagine a world without his feedback.
It would be so vastly different, it’s so easy to forget that it use be dangerous to be different, I was “alt” when it was still “heyf@&&! From a pickup truck and a life threats
@@mikegibson4332It still is. Go to a small town or rural area.
Just shows you that EVERY band starts somewhere. Dream big people.
Jew Adolf lmao he’s saying this because they’re rehearsing in a tiny little studio and they went on to record in world class studios and play giant venues and stuff.
@@bluehole6019 To be fair, it didnt work out very well in the end for them. Might as well have stayed underground.
Carlos Colon Music Damn. True. Kurt wanted nothing more than to be famous though. He talked about it nonstop in his journals.
@@bluehole6019 just to find out he didn’t actually n regret it
That's a nice sentiment. But most bands don't ever break out of obscurity, no matter how good they are or how hard they try.
This is the first time I’ve got to see Jason Everman playing with nirvana .
here's some more Nirvana w Jason: ruclips.net/video/lQuepkdJg4w/видео.html
Look up his bio he had a good life; he also played with Soundgarden, was special Ops in the military, was a monk....went to university and I think now he teaches there. He might have even shown up Nirvana's Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction, not sure.
@@alisterfolson I dont think he was mention when Bleach first came out. So doubt it
Was gonna say who's the long hair dude playing with them.
I like his name lol
Is that the guy in the middle
Dive is such an underrated song the energy is crazy
i agree
Great song
Look at Kurt's univox guitar, flipped over and restrung for a lefty. so awesome! Props to Chad Channing. Glad he played on my favorite Nirvana album.
Kurt and Krist forever damn Krist is awesome bassist.
Great camera man. I wanted to stare at a light bulb for a while and amazingly he anticipated that... and then later I was wondering if anything new was going on with the light bulb and just like magic the camera man panned over to it just when my curiosity peaked. Not everyone is that good...needless to say.
jlrutube1312 amazingly anticipated that.
You are golden. I bout pissed myself.
This camera man should pill hard.
Love this comment 😂
Dude, I was reading your comment at that exact moment in the video..
That was pretty cool, but did you see that close up, blurry shot of Kurt's shoe??
Fucking Art man.
Kurt looked really different during Bleach era, almost like a different person!
Kurt’s best hair was definitely the 1988 cut
@@Jipwell FR
Grohl and Pat looked so different back then.
That wasn't Grohl or Pat. Pat wasn't around until late '93.
However I think Chad did do drums on the very first album to some songs but was never named/ credited. And I guess Jason just got overshadowed by Kurt on guitar.

Early Rare Nirvana footage with Chad Channing and Jason Everman. Amazing! I didn’t know this footage even existed. Jason Everman paid $600 to record the Bleach album.
Thanks for uploading this great early song! 👏🏻🎸😎
Legend states that if you put your ear close enough to the ground in that studio you can still hear the cymbals mating...
Just turned 27 this month. RIP kurt
Within a year, Kurt would find both the right drummer and hair length.
Yeah I really didn't realize how much Grohl mattered until I heard the timing on some of these fills...
Chad was a good drummer too
@@luisbetancourt8540 Chad also did the drumming for In Bloom btw, according to Grohl himself
He became a super hero.
Levent Feizi not on nevermind tho chad just wrote the drum part...
This is a massive tribute to all who have:
just jammed in a junkyard
downed a few ditties
rocked a few riffs
done a few drugs
maybe even blown brains to bits
So rock n' roll man!
This was the month I graduated from high school. Bleach and Nevermind were as formative in my life as the 18 years previous. Mind blowing. I’m 50 now.
Man, that light bulb solo was wicked!
I'm so happy we still get Nirvana content!
Damn that version of Dive was heavy. The one in the middle
Super sweet sound!
WOW, has this ever surfaced?? This version of Dive sounds like the Melvins
It really does
It’s on the box set.
Chad's drumming on it is fucking horrible.
Melvins paved the way for Nirvana. Doesn't surprise me.
@@Guppusmaximus Kurt had a love/ hate relationship with the Melvins. He said his sister was a huge fan, but that he got back into them later on. It was from an interview from 91 or 92.
So, Jason playing guitar, ended up on releases.... I know that "Do You Love Me" ended up on a compilation, a KISS tribute (I just can't remember the name or any other details), and of course the "Dive" demo was put on With The Lights Out. This is so awesome to know.
I have the CD - it was "Hard to believe: a KISS covers compilation" on C/Z records. I have a copy of "version 2" (see Wikipedia). As soon as Gene Simmons got wind of it a cease and desist was ordered, and KISS wanted to do it their way, releasing "Kiss my ass: Classic KISS regrooved" in 1994, which wasn't nearly as interesting as the C/Z records album.
That's Jason Everman on the second guitar. He was in Nirvana and Soundgarden and gave up on both bands, simply bacause at some point he changed his mind: instead of a rockstar, he wanted to be a soldier. Search about him. His story is pretty interesting.
He says he was "disappointed" with punk rock. His lack of commitment got him kicked out of both bands. The guy was so moody that even Kurt couldn't stand him.
Wow! I never knew that. Thanks for sharing!
He was in Mindfunk too. Dude just didn't have the right attitude for rock 'n' roll though.
He was fired from both bands.
Enzo Ferrari mindfunk where right there in that brief period where funk metal was getting popular. Bands like Whitetrash, Faith No More, Mordred and Mindfunk. They did get radio play and where starting to get more recognition but then Nirvana broke and the rest you know.
Thank you for this! Such intimate & historically-important footage!
Kurt still does his little dance even with no audience 😆
Kurt’s hair is beautiful.
@Nintariz HA!!!
@Nintariz yes.
Thank you for filming this early video with nirvana i a see a young Kurt cobain so beautiful i know he was happy at this point in time miss you Kurt so much it hurts but i know you are here around me i can feel your energy
Wow. I try and look for every possible footage of Nirvana, never seen this one, Nice!
Everman went on to Soundgarden, and afterwards became a Green Beret... true story....
Also a monk, went to university and now teaches there
Cool, Kurt wearing checkered Vans
illuminati konfirmed
He would've hated that you noticed or even cared about that.
Van020280 are you Kurt's conscious? No? Then don't spout what he's "apparently thinking" and just enjoy the music, so what? The dude was just pointing out cool shoes
So I don't know what he is thinking, but you know what he's not thinking? Give me a break poser boy.
A man commenting on another man's shoes = gay.
Fuck man. Chad AND Jason. I love seeing this shit. Wish they kept this badass drummer. Easily the best era for the band imo. I know it's not a popular opinion cuz everyone fuckin loves Dave but I personally like the times before Dave better than I do afterwards..
They were raw and energetic as fuck during this era i love it
keep the nirvana clips coming!, happy new year Ziegler!
Love these clips!
Love the song Dive
Love the long haired hippie Kurt the best. .So strange to see Kurt playing anything else but a Fender Jaguar or Mustang..
He liked the Univox for awhile.
@@casperguylkn The Hi-Flier was one of the first electric guitars he ever bought.. and played a Univox on the Bleach album and also a Aria Pro 2 around that time Iv'e seen him pictured with. .
I was initially looking for Kurt until I realized that one guitar was left-handed. I'm not used to seeing him with this long hair and a weird guitar
He got the symmetric one so he can turn it over and string it the proper way. Like 90% of electric string instruments are built the backwards way, where they force people to use the pick in their right hand. When I go to the guitar store or pawn shop, I would be very lucky to find one built with the proper orientation. Usually they are all backwards, and any proper ones better than student grade are expensive. So if i look for a bass, I look for symmetric ones that I can take and fix the strings.
@@derps0n839 How are they built "the backwards way"? The Mosrite/Hi-Flyer specifically is built in a backwards fashion but that's not true for most electric stringed instruments. Most are built with the cut out above the thinner strings for easier fretting access: Strat, Les Paul, etc.
This session is when they recorded Dive and Do you Love me, also behind kurt there is the piano that sounds in the end of Dive version
purorock y agüita
No it's not, Jason Everman was only involved with Bleach, the recording of "Dive" for Incesticide didn't feature Everman as he'd been sacked, also Dale Crover played drums on it too instead of Chad Channing... That's if my memory serves me correctly...
purorock y agüita
No, read it! The kiss cover "Do you love me?" and "Dive" is the only "recorded footage" and "audio", featuring Jason Everman, I know because I was a fan from the beginning and the cut of "Do you love me (old analogue recording) appeared on" Outscesticide " the "Dive" version with Everman apparently did not appear on Incesticide!
read the link of livenirvana

I don't need to read it
Im talking about of Dive version of WTLO and the Dive version of Incesticed play Chad, not Dale
Next to “Come As You Are,” “Dive” is my second fav. Dark, raw and beautiful sounding.

DeShaun Dupree Holton this blows my mind, they couldn’t even imagine.
At this point they were altrady doing international tours for small venues in Europe.
This is the happy new years present for me thanks a lot
Cameraman busy filming the ceiling as opposed to legends
Hahaha
Legends? In 1989, Nirvana was just another grundge band from Seattle. It would be at least another year and a half before they acheived near-universal fame.
To think that soon this video will be 40 years old. This is crazy
Wow the drum groove is way different and you have the other guitarist who has probably never been seen in any video footage playing with nirvana!!! Amazing
"Dive" absolutely love that song
Crazy to think that they were doing this when hair metal was the mainstream.
Tattooed Pain not really, look at their hair!
Nintariz there was a lot of Aqua Net, true.
@Nintariz there was certainly more going on than just hair metal. Alternative and heavier metal was thriving.
And this song sucks.

So that other guy must be the one from the Bleach cover.
Jason Everman. He was in Soundgarden for a minute too and is a legit Navy Seal. He paid for the recording of Bleach.
@@AnodyneHipsterInfluencer He was not a Navy Seal. He did join the Army and become an Army Ranger and Green Beret though.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Everman
Well, thank God he paid for the recording of Bleach so he helped launch Nirvana. He should get some kind of royalties or paid back at least for greasing the wheel!
Apparently , they never paid him back and then after they toured Europe he was kicked out and then he joined the Marines. He should be compensated for his good works. Don’t you think? By PayPal or Apple Pay or something!
Without him, No Bleach album and No About a Girl or the rest either! Think about that!

Funny you should say that. Pat Smear is their most recent and most well known second guitarist.
this is so much more pure and raw then the studio version

2 years later changed the face of music, fashion, and culture for good. Biggest social impact since the Beatles and to this day!
So true. We havent had a breakthrough like this since. Music is stagnant and stale. No new sound since the mid 90s. Nothing revolutionary, just bland, stale and uninspired.
I never got into Nirvana till the unplugged in NY came out "my fav" - and Nevermind with the naked baby that caught most peoples att on the cover, prob can't post that nowadays, it was the Nirvana of the times tho I miss- edit i like this tune ..reminds me of the end of "something in the way"
