No crazy budgets, no yelling, and destroying stuff just 2 chill buds hanging out and talking cars. Also huge props to Jobey and Jer for giving some spotlight to Jimmy. Whether it was well planned ahead of time, they still want their friend to succeed in his new role. This is legitimately the most comfortable Jimmy has seemed not only behind the camera but also behind the wheel. Glad to see him passionate and thoroughly enjoying the content he's making.
This video had a feel to it. "Don't abandon my friend's channel. He's actually really knowledgeable." Almost as if Jerry and Jobe were telling us to still support Donut because Jimmy is our really good friend. I did learn more about the S13 than I'd ever known, and it was still entertaining, to say the least. Once again, great job, fellas!!
That car is so special! My 4th and 5th cars were American 240sx, one hatch, one coupe. I used to canyon drive, drift sometimes but my upgrades on handling were most directed on control. Super fast and, and quick when needed. I never sr20 swapped, fully built ka24. I have no videos or pics but that car was a monster. Never lost.. time trials in my canyon were unbelievable. I miss it very much. The cops had to take it away, now I have nothing. Did all the work with my friend in my driveway, or garage if there was room.. I love this car! S13 to death!
Honestly, this was a really fun way to highlight Jimmy. I've liked his recent Donut videos, but this was an awesome way to get to know him better as a person and learn about a cool car.
Jerry winding up Jimmy is proof of a great friendship. This video is excellent. Great to see Jimmy open up more about his cars. I didn't realise how big a car he was! Thanks for this guys, it was awesome!
I think Jimmy had the coolest anime girl car I've ever seen. Not that that's a high bar, but it's proof that one might have made it into cool territory at one point
Love the vibes and banter on this video. Great to see Jimmy in his element and talking about things he's passionate about, JDM cars from Initial D. This is the kind of magic that's gone missing from a lot of big car channels. Keep up the amazing work Jerr and Jobe! I'm looking forward to more content like this!
Ive had my RPS13 180SX for 24yrs, it has a CA18DET engine and still running strong. When I was a kid my neighbor had a Silve Q in that same 2 tone green. When I got mine it was 3k AUD from Japan in January 2000.

Cool to see Jimmy step up and out into the light lately. Even cooler to see him to tell Jer to calm his shit while driving ,and eating in, Jimmy's car. Donut showed us a kid. Now we see the man.

My first car was a 1993 honda del sol. LOVED IT. I miss my first car. I wish that I never got rid of it.... I swore that if I ever recovered from my spinal cord injury and can walk again, that I would get another Del Sol. Maybe try to find the exact one I used to own.... I remember being at a car meet, and some people in my friend group made fun of me for being front wheel drive because they were all fans of drifting. And when I said "I can drift your car better than you" they laughed and said no to driving theirs. then i doubled down and said I would drift my FWD shit box. They bet me 20 bucks each. So i pulled out into the parking lot, got up to speed, and started ripping the ebrake to get the rear out. And I, in fact, drifted around the concrete barrier. they were gobsmacked that I pulled it off in a front wheel drive. What they didnt know was that it just requires a different technique. Basically with RWD you slide the rear and counter steer the front. But in front wheel drive, you slide the rear and drive the normal steering line with front. This is because the front wheels "pull" the car so when the rear kicks out, just accelerating forward will pull the rear back towards center aka straight. While RWD if you accelerate you just increase slippage and end up spinning out. So yeah, different techniques. They didnt pay up. Doubling down, whenever we went back road racing, I could corner faster than them yet they all had faster cars. So in straight line they would pull away but i would catch up in corners. I miss those late nights, deadmau5 blasting out my kicker speakers and pioneer headunit with a 12 inch kicker sub sitting where my passenger seat should have been.... Cruising highways, backroad street racing. Ill never forgot those times. Hopefully one day I can experience them again.... Hopefully modern medicine gets of their lazy asses and starts curing people instead of making them sicker....

I remember a time when in Top Gear they used to trash these types of cars in dumb fun challenges, now they're a treasure to be found, oh how times haves changed.
In high school I had a '93 240SX, so these cars will always hold a special place in my heart. The foam spoiler was almost hilarious, and the under powered brakes much less hilarious. But man the engine, weight and handling was awesome. Great high schooler car. The kids w/ the SUVs missed out.

In my day, the Opel Manta was the Euro version of the S13 for the 1980's. Very light at 2100 pounds and between 90-76HP. With a light engine build, headers and a Weber 120HP was available. It was a car with very neutral handling, that was just fun, fun to drive. I'd say the Euro 10 year old version of the S13 from the early 2000's. Cheap, fun and unique.
My favorite car of all time. my uncle used to work for nissan. he got me a box set of exact diecast models in different color schemes. black, white, red, blue. black and white have carbon hoods, red and blue are primary. They were designed to look like drift set ups. The 180 sx twin turbo specifically. literally my dream car of dream cars. i'd cry if i got the opportunity to own one of those dude.
Man it's honestly just refreshing seeing one of these iconic cars not being tuned, engine swapped and stanced to all hell. Not that I have anything against those, I just prefer the charm of bone-stock cars.
Great video format. Very enjoyable to watch and easy on the ears. Love that it is quite informative between a cool and casual conversation between 2 down to earth dudes. Keep it up!!
I know the feeling. Jimmy's car is in great condition and you can tell he takes care of it and drives it in a manner so it last long. I have an 89 240sx in decent condition and even I don't push the RPMs due to the age of the engine.
Jer is driving way too hard for those ancient tires and most definitely dry rotted bushings. Old tires like that are fine until you go full Paul Walker
One thing I like about some channels is that they buy awesome cars on their last legs from Facebook marketplace, fix it up and release it back into the wild. Just watching an MCM video on the Nissan Cube at the moment. It’s also some good teaching points on how to properly care for the car and fix a few simple things to make it 1000x better.

Also huge props to Jobey and Jer for giving some spotlight to Jimmy. Whether it was well planned ahead of time, they still want their friend to succeed in his new role. So giving him the spotlight and a chance to learn about Jimmy, something Donut never seemed to do, is a classy move. Wish both Big time and their buds huge success wherever their careers go.
Seriously. I hope they can support themselves off of this sort of content so they don't have to ruin it shooting for mass-market appeal.
I miss the car history lessons old Donut used to make. I'm glad you're doing them again. It'd be neat if you could do some of the more obscure models too like you did for this Silvia. I'd love your humorous takes on some oddities like the Toyota "Humvee" or the egg-shaped Previa, even if others have covered it in a more straightforward fashion.
If you're not already familiar, check out Aging Wheels.
I really hate to dog on Donut but from what it's become it's very obvious to see the amount of passion in these videos lives up to pre-corprate donut. I wanna say thank you guys and to all of those at donut who have stuck around in the youtube platform for so long. you guys really have sparked a larger community of people that enjoy cars. during covid I started watching you guys and everything you guys have done I'm starting to research my own build now soon hopefully! Keep it up and absolute best wishes for your new channel 🙏🙏🙏
I'll gladly dog on Donut. Donut media (the company, not the people) is a sellout.
Jimmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!! What a surprise.
Also really well edited video
Can't stand that annoying kid. 😂
I didn’t want to see Beans from even Steven’s either. But still a good video

Why would Donut not introduce Jimmy to us like this? Jimmy is a cool guy, Donut made him a clown. Loving the content so far guys!
Fr
A missed opportunity by Donut, for sure. Wonder if Jimmy will eventually come over to this channel full time. I think he'd be a perfect fit - and they'd certainly treat him better!
Very true, Donut is slacking!!
The fact that Jimmy has a stuffed silvia on the backseat is adorable.
Him grabbing it was the most underrated part of the video
the "let me get my friend," and him pulling out a sea green emotional support silvia, sent me

Really brought out Jimmy’s knowledge and personality in this video. Props guys. Get him on the channel permanently!
You guys are rad as shit, dude. You're giving Jimmy more storyline and personality than Donut has done in the past year...and it's not even your fuckin' channel or employee. Keep being rad people dude, the internet and especially the world needs more folks willing to prop each other up.
Edit: Holy fuck he's been there for 7 years what in the absolute fuck.
He's doing it as a favour to donut, he's the next one in line, the boy king. Jer is trying to get us to make him more likeable
Dude his PT cruiser video was fire. A cool inside look at a wacky car community
@@johnlee7622yeah shit that was dope
This is legitimately the most comfortable Jimmy has seemed not only behind the camera but also behind the wheel. Glad to see him passionate and thoroughly enjoying the content he's making.
I was going to say the same thing,. Just with fewer F bombs.
Agreed I learned a lot from this video, I hope we can all appreciate it this way and continue to support both channels
@MrLayton1990 me too. I've noticed a dip in Donut quality and frequency. I miss the random shows a lot. Tool party was one of them.
Hahaha, take a look at Donut's views, nobody is abandoning anything!
"I'm not a race car driver like yourself" holy shit. Primus called it. Jerry truly Was A Race Car Driver.
Hopefully he doesnt wrap himself around a telephone pole
Drove so goddamn fast
Big Time is proof that he lights em up just for fun.
@@VeniVidiLegonever did win no checkered flags…
😂
He's a very big car

100% agree
I think Jimmy had the coolest anime girl car I've ever seen. Not that that's a high bar, but it's proof that one might have made it into cool territory at one point
Jimmy is so natural in here!
100%, Jimmy seems more "Jimmy" is this video than any I've seen him in on Donut.
Absolutely agree. His charisma, natural chill, amusing vibe works so well here. This format works!
Love how excited everyone gets when our boys post. Happy Friday, bros and bro-etts!
hope they don't do many more of these backdoor intros for donut
Ive had my RPS13 180SX for 24yrs, it has a CA18DET engine and still running strong. When I was a kid my neighbor had a Silve Q in that same 2 tone green. When I got mine it was 3k AUD from Japan in January 2000.
Seeing these guys happy makes me happy.
Big ups to Jer for acknowledging how tough jimmy has it stepping in to their shoes. jimmy is dope and I hope he finds his footing
PLEASE I beg of y’all to NEVER let any business buy your channel out like donuts. We needed a channel like this again.
Or let em get bought out for a huge payday, then they start over with a new channel called "CarStuff" or something and get all their viewers over to that channel in an afternoon. 😄
@@8thlvlMage and then keep the cycle going over and over. You must be a business major. Genius
You guys are the best.
We've been so mean to Jimmy, this Jimmy endorsement video is such a chill, big hearted réponse.
lol Jimmy saying the whole world is crumbling around him.
Yeah, that got a good chuckle out of me.
This video is just proof that character arcs, character development, and origin stories make it easier to like people, take more interest in them, and endear yourself to them. Well done BigTime!

I’m already in love with this channel, the editing, the music, it’s all coming together nicely. BigTime FOREVER
Seriously, the camera work has been freaking awesome. I was a fan of their Donut stuff, but this is next level.
What you guys are doing is genius by setting expectations on initial episodes! Ep. 1 setting background on car hearts, Ep.2 creativity/Fun, Ep. 3 hosting skills. New fan here!
Watching Jimmy stressed tf out in his own car is as entertaining as it is relatable.
Cool to see Jimmy step up and out into the light lately.
Even cooler to see him to tell Jer to calm his shit while driving ,and eating in, Jimmy's car.
Donut showed us a kid. Now we see the man.
I've enjoyed Jimmy's presence before on Donut, but seeing him here like this is makes me respect him even more. We need more of Jimmy in our lives.
Also, Iowa on your Mustang? Good taste, Jimmy.
Came for the car. Stayed for the interview with Jimmy. :)
"How old are they?" "Yes." LMAO
Props to Jimmy for letting Jer drive his baby like that. Definitely a stressful moment anytime you let someone else wheel your car

But both videos were released 12 hours ago 540k compared to 150k.
The fanbase is loyal to these two fellas !
I definitely enjoy this channel. No crazy budget , just good times.
8.81 million subscribers vs 1.31 million
@@eternalbeing3339 kinda insane hey.
Donuts truely tanked due to corporate bullshit and the little guy is absolutely dominating them.
People watch for the people on screen, not for the faceless corporations behind the brand name.
Its that simple.
One is a review of a cool, somewhat obscure car. The other is another low-budget reaction list.
It's new channel about cars by people who left bigger company, what did you expect? Especially with all the drama flying around. I would be surprised if it didn't have this many views.
Lets go Big Time's Friday upload is what we all needed and wanted!

Props to the entire team. Videographer, editors, writers, anyone else I don’t know - they have a cohesive style that makes big time feel like big time.
Jimmy being Aussie makes so much sense he looks like the kid from paper planes and puberty blues 😂

Funny you say that.
I was a kid back in the day and the S13 1-via was actually my first car and I learned how to drive on it!.
Subsequently learned how to drive things sideways as well..😂

This is the type of “reality” TV that should be on TV. This is what I miss about 00’s TopGear: A couple of friends hanging out, discussing cars, and engaging in various shenanigans.
No politics, educational, and fun to watch.
Was really cool seeing seeing Jerry drive the car and Jimmy freaking out. It was just like when Takumi drove Iketani around in the show.
My thoughts exactly! ! !
damn guys, BigTime is here and it's the car channel that we wanted, asked and needed. Just two guys that are great friends and that like cars just as we like, talking about them being passionate and without extreme shouting/screaming/drama. Jesus, ily guys.

@@cenciende9401 i'm talking about how donut videos came to be after some years. Idk what the other folks are commenting about, but my comment was comparing BigTime videos to Donut videos

Would be a cool streaming idea “The Hour of Power” with just a quick stream while at the shop, no mind paid to the camera
Naw. Fuck James. He's a loud obnoxious jerk that doesn't care about cars, just being famous.
The three J's
The Disrepected Nose style of MCM would suit itself well to this crew. Can't wait for the inevitable crossover.
People who think there is hate between donut and this channel are looking for drama. Get over it theyre both still good channels. This channel makes me happy af and glad to see the boys are having a huge following.
I’m currently taking calculus three and you have no idea how incredibly happy it makes me to hear Jeremiah talking about orthogonal parametrics in real life applications
These guys dont fuckin' miss!
@Bigtime, thank you!
As a Japanese-American who loves JDM cars, lives in West LA, and drives up and down PCH regularly, watching you guys cruise around in a mint Silvia up past Malibu toward Point Mugu and down to Manhattan Beach was a real treat. Thanks, and please continue making awesome vids like these.

I love how wholesome and just how natural every reaction with jeremiah and jobe are, it just feels right. Best decision ever!
we never really got to meet jimmy so i think thats where a lot of apprehension came towards him when he became a host. This is the exact video that donut should’ve made for him and the video that he deserves. very well edited i love what you guys are building here
God I just love everything about these videos. So happy to have a Jimmy feature and learn a little more about him. The editing and filming of this video is so pleasing.
I remember a time when in Top Gear they used to trash these types of cars in dumb fun challenges, now they're a treasure to be found, oh how times haves changed.
0:27 what a fire line, props to the writing on this one
In high school I had a '93 240SX, so these cars will always hold a special place in my heart. The foam spoiler was almost hilarious, and the under powered brakes much less hilarious. But man the engine, weight and handling was awesome. Great high schooler car. The kids w/ the SUVs missed out.
God this brings me back to Up To Speed and B2B. Thank you guys for doing this ❤

Talk about a car with a culture around it! I'm still looking for a subbed copy of _Manta, Manta._
I just love how natural things feel here, more relaxed and more educational, while still being fun to watch.
My favorite car of all time. my uncle used to work for nissan. he got me a box set of exact diecast models in different color schemes. black, white, red, blue. black and white have carbon hoods, red and blue are primary. They were designed to look like drift set ups. The 180 sx twin turbo specifically.

Man it's honestly just refreshing seeing one of these iconic cars not being tuned, engine swapped and stanced to all hell. Not that I have anything against those, I just prefer the charm of bone-stock cars.
It us quite pleasant seeing a stock one !
Great video format. Very enjoyable to watch and easy on the ears. Love that it is quite informative between a cool and casual conversation between 2 down to earth dudes. Keep it up!!
Dude, loving the background on Jimmy! Was super surprised to see him! Way to spread the love and keep up a great vid!
That kid was white knuckled the minute Jer took the wheel 😂
I know the feeling. Jimmy's car is in great condition and you can tell he takes care of it and drives it in a manner so it last long. I have an 89 240sx in decent condition and even I don't push the RPMs due to the age of the engine.
Jer is driving way too hard for those ancient tires and most definitely dry rotted bushings.
Old tires like that are fine until you go full Paul Walker
This really is what donut used to be. Glad they are keeping it alive
