$100k flat for basically rebuilding 2 v12 lambos with engine out work, and more work on a diablo is actually a SCREAMING deal…I know its a lot of money, but I figured it would be triple that price! That is SOOOOO much work and labor. What a great friend!
This was my thought. The emphasis of dealer vs private shop and emphasis on creative solutions/engineering/parts… practically a lamborghini owner’s commercial 😂 Oddly Also - I feel like Lamborghini vs a some other super cars… there is less provenance for ‘only dealer service’ - So if you have a reputable shop service ticket then I think there is little value loss on a Lamborghini - unlike say certain other super car brands.
15:50 Cameron, you really deserve that blackbelt. You delivered not only on 1 but 3 supercars. The way some of these cars go off to sketchy mechanics and you spend years battling to get your cars back. This was so refreshing, to say the least.
lol one of our friends called my brother who runs a firestone corp store and asked how much tires were for a lambo... my brother told him... if you have to ask how much tires cost before buying the car, you can't afford the vehicle.
Ive been wanting a Porsche for years and I almost bought a boxster once. The guys on Car Talk once told a doctors wife to expect at least a few hundred every month for repairs and general maintenance and that's why I knew id be making a mistake. It might've been worth it but I was used to driving a Toyota that I didn't have to be super religious about changing the oil in let alone expect any constant repairs.😂

@@CJ4S147porsches are incredibly sturdy, I’ve had a 2012 cayenne turbo since 2014 and beat the crap out of it, 200k miles later many missed oil changes and it’s just fine. Blew a coolant hose awhile ago and that was like $800 to get fixed, but overall I’m less than $10k into repairs and oil changes/tires over the last 10 years
@@CJ4S147 So I would encourage you to buy the Porsche someday but the thing is you're buying the seller, not the car/brand. A good owner will have a 3-ring binder full of service records/receipts and will not have deferred anything critical. Oil changes will be current, tires will be up-to-date, you shouldn't be automatically walking into 4-5 figures of maintenance. Do a PPI, if the seller refuses then politely walk away and move on to the next candidate.

Awesome video as always Ed! Now that I see your Diablo I actually wanted to ask you about a Lamborghini Diablo edition you may have heard of. It’s called the Lamborghini Coatl or the Mexican Lambo. In the 90s when Lamborghini was getting tossed around different owners, Automoviles Lamborghini Latinoamérica got the rights to heavily modify Diablos. It was built in Mexico and it was called the Coatl and I believe they later renamed it the Eros. Aside from some info of it online I have never actually seen one in person or heck even on RUclips the latest video of it is from 17 years ago. Anyways I thought that with your broad knowledge and connections with everything to do Diablo and Murci you may know something about this. Thanks!

As a professional engineer licensed in many states an open to litigation for up to 10 years on my designs, I often get criticized by guys who buys these cars for charging $120/hr and these guys are getting $300 per hour to fix their cars they drive to my office. Time to change my negotiating stance.
I've been a OEM M.E. for 32yrs. I am increasingly coming to see I'm in the wrong field. I know 1000x more about cars than anyone else I know. (no really) And I can't even imagine getting a 100k repair bill. SHoot I am going to do a cam swap on my Z06 this winter and am having to save and budget to do just that... and I'm doing all the work myself!

Take some of that VinWhiskey and get a few casks together then give it to someone you know that owns a yacht(you must know a few) and have them place the barrels or casks on the yacht for a year. On love languages: Lambos want gifts. They can't hear your acts of service, they certainly don't value quality time with you. Sometimes those words of affirmation and a gentle caress on the dash will get her fired up, but don't get complacent, if you want her to be loyal, she wants money.
In college I got pulled over by the NJ State Police in Cape May, NJ doing 196 MPH in a Lotus Esprit. My friend convinced me to drink 2 bottles of Robitussin. They didn’t know and I thought I was going the speed limit haha.
Ed I gotta say, that Diablo looks so much better than the other two, never sell it, like its like if you had a 90's supermodel next to the waynes brothers in fat chicks, like if you have to sell something to pay the bills, do the Gallardo, or even well, rent it out at Freddies track day he has coming up, that way it can get some miles on it, and you can see what else is broke on it and I really cant see what is wrong with the paint, atleast on camera that orange is beautiful, and if its orange peel a wetsand and a detail will take that right out and the murcies and the modern lambos come with that as stock, trust me I know, I kind saved a guy from a really bad day with a Jelous woman and calmed her down, and in looking at it they dont wetsand it from the factory also if you need to bribe the guy, does he like wine, Ferrucio's Winery is still around and selling wine, could try that lol
