My wife and I visited NOLA in 2018. Willie Mae's is the reason I'm watching. It was simply phenomenal!!

New Orleans is such a paradise for food! Willie Mae’s is some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever tasted and glad you agree that it is amazing! They are legendary

Legendary is right. Must be a wet batter. 😋

Editing this was crazy. Every time I heard the crunch from the chicken, I'd imagine how it tasted again. Haha

Gus's!!! Love that place. We have one in Chicago. Yes, they are from Memphis and so delicious. No hot sauce for us. Would love to try Willie Mae's. We'll need to make it down there to try all. Fried chicken is one of our top 5 favorite foods! haha 😂

My first business trip to New Orleans I was starving late at night. Tried Popeye's and it was actually pretty good. My mom's fried chicken was always delicious growing up as a kid and my wife could sell her fried chicken wings in my opinion. They are that good.

We keep forgetting to try the Popeye's down there, so we have to put that on the list. Kamau loves fried chicken. We'll have to try Aunt Stephanie's next time we're in Charlotte!

Nice video! You could tell from the look which ones would likely come out on top!

For sure. mcHardys was on top until the other ones were taken out the bag unfortunately.

I am curious if you have had pop eyes in NOLA as it tastes so different (seasoned so differently) than in New York/tri state area. It is worth trying next time!

Louisiana Popeyes is definitely different than anywhere else. Spicier there
