@@THEMAJESTIRIUM1 Agreed! Well done, Majestirium. I thought my job in Psych and Addictions was tough...not so much now! ty for fine reporting. (p.s. who's the pup in the pic?)
If an instructor set this scenario up in a training academy (scaffolding, narrow streets partially blocked by street restaurants, old multiple use building without standpipes), multiple exposure situations) they would call it out as being absurd. Great work by the members.
You can't underestimate how important experience is with these types of fires. Limited building access due to surrounding structures and and a clearly compromised roof in the fire building required them to think about how to attack the fire. Good video and job by FDNY.
@Dawn Michelle Seidl Godsey that sucks hearing about the historic landmark being destroyed by that individual hopefully ur friends are all ok and had insurance on the booth ( I don’t know if that is possible but if so good luck for ur friends

Once again Maji, top notch coverage . Excellent vantage point on roof of exposure building of members trying to knock down a stubborn working fire. I am a native New Yorker, and during my youth (late '50s early '60s), the "Village" (Bleeker& Thompson) was my "stomping" ground.
