Hallelujah! Finally, someone brought up bag proportion compared to body size/shape! Micro bags are not for everyone despite being in style. Whenever I've made a similar comment on RUclips bag videos, I always get attacked and accused of fat shaming. It works both ways. Huge bags on short or very skinny people don't work either.

The point about the Olsen twins - genius!!! Now I know why Ive always hated mini bags. 😂 If you are thinking of making this a series pls consider one on bags - size, east west vs north south, structured vs unstructured, warm vs cool, how to style warmer bags like your wicker with cooler outfits. ❤ thank you ❤

Hey. Firstly, you are great. Secondly I live in Bris too so wear a lot of light weight fabrics. As an alternative to the heavy (but strong) sleeve keepers, I bought a packet of brightly coloured rubber bands from Officeworks. The bag has blue, pink, green, yellow and orange. Blends perfectly with colours. Not strong enough for jackets though.

I loved this video, thanks for sharing your tips, I learnt that I need to be careful about bag size.
I went through menopause and my whole body shape changed to a rectangle and I had to change my whole wardrobe. I had never had much of a belly before and now I do. I rate this video a solid ten. I'm short and I wear wide leg cropped pants with side slits and it seems to balance me out. I wear a short top with elbow sleeves. The elastic arm band and waist bands are such a great idea! First time that I've heard of them, thanks for sharing! Another trick is to use an elastic band to gather the hem of your tee shirt or blouse and then flip it towards your body so it looks like you've tucked your shirt in without adding bulk to your pants (basically what that elastic waist band was doing).

You could never look like humpty dumpty lovely Dayle, you always look gorgeous in everything you wear and you just exude beauty because of this, your gorgeous face and just how you present yourself. You are stunning inside and out and it shines through.. I think my days of looking good have passed me. I am only 5ft 1 and 1/2 inches short. 🤣 I used to have a figure, a small waist and flat tummy but with old age and I think my many health problems my whole shape has changed. Now I look like humpty dumpty. 🤣 I remember those sleeve keepers from when I was young, now that is many years ago. 😁I need some though as any long sleeve shirts, etc that I wear the sleeves are always too long. The basic band for waist is a brilliant idea though I don't like my tummy. It is not flat anymore. I am working hard on losing weight as I haven't been able to be as active as I would like these past few years. I am down 16 kilos but in saying that it makes me feel and think how huge I must have looked, though friends and family always said how nice I looked. Was this just to make me happy though ? I don't know. I must say I have lost my bum. it has gone just about completely flat and pants just bag on me there and fall down. We all have a laugh about that though. Dee says" mum you go from back to leg with no butt in between.😁 In a loving way though. Oh to be young again. Thank you for this video. Great tips Dayle! I also have a shorter torso and can't wear high rise jeans. I recently started purchasing Blazers and they are sooo good! Oh, as for the Birkin...I also didn't have much onterest in getting one and didn't understand the hype.... that has changed and I had my SA add me to the list for a Birkin 30 in my favorite color (Black...yes it is a color 😀). Long line blazers are hard to get! Especially if you want it fitted and slimming not oversized and not a men’s cut and even more so if you have a long waist - which is my challenge. I have one which is around 20 years old gorgeous slim line with a waist no lapel so super slimming and elegant but I have never found another even close to it. I like my blazers to fit very firmly to the shoulders and arms to slim the upper body. Scanlon and Theodore does that style of tailoring well even if they’re bulky winter pieces. The long line Scanlon crepe jackets are super flattering (and a firm stretch) they machine wash and last forever so are worth the high price. The other thing that’s hard to find is flat fronted pants - even zippers can look very unflattering especially on jeans as the fabric is bulky. I would prefer completely flat front firm pants with side zips but they are rare. My only actual tip is a thin ankle strap on pumps - most slimming elongating look ever…., I adore those leopard palazzo pants on you! Wonderful and flattering and they look so comfortable in that silky fabric.
