Next time try using boiled water that's been infused with garlic and onion, no need to chop the garlic and wait for the water to cool then use it to mix the henna 😍 also, you should keep the henna for a few hours before applying it to your hair.. and if you do not wish to have your forhead or ears turning red or orange just put vaseline or any barrier cream or oil 😍.. you can totally skip applying henna to the lengths of the hair if you do not want you hair to get a bit fry because henna tends to dyr up the hair but it is great for scalp problems like dandruff, oiliness, itchiness etc.. we do not apply henna in winter because we believe it absorbs all your body's heat and leaves you with a cold most of the time. But we love it in summer and spring because of that cooling effect 🥰

Love all your natural hair treatments!
I’m a cosmetologist of 24 years and holistic cosmetologist of 5 years. Having damp hair when applying any mask helps open the hairs cuticle especially if you use warm water. Rinse with cool water to close the cuticle. I use a product out of Italy called Oway. As for adding oils to the mask use grape seed oil because the molecules are small enough to go into the hair cuticle as well at skin to better moisturize. Be aware of any metals in the darker henna. ☺️

I have only used Jamila henna since 2008. And use cinnamon, coriander and nutmeg with honey chamomile tea and let it sit covered for 6 hrs. You will see dye release and then to thin it out al little I will use a good conditioner. Then apply to damp hair. And use the India method of getting into my hair. And use a Vaseline around my face and ears. Leave in. I have a set shirt and skull cap. I also have used the lake waves to wash out. Also Sarah never use shampoo to wash out. Conditioner only. And bun for 3 days. And oxidation love it. Also left over use a container and freeze it. Your red color will intensify when it thaws. 😊

You guys are so cute together on screen! I LOVE henna. I have been using henna and indigo to do my hair dark brown for years. After you get it the color you want you can switch to just doing your roots which saves money and isn't as drying on your length.
I am now in the process of growing out my natural color and the griw out process hasn't been horrible, as your s-i-l mentions the grow out with henna isnt as stark as a box color. I have started using sedr from hennasooq as my strengthening mask because it strengthens like henna with no color.

What proportion do u take of henna n indigo to get dark brown color?

    • @tiffanyphares5807
      @tiffanyphares5807 2 года назад +1

My recipe is 20gm henna, 70gm indigo, 10gm amla.
You mix the henna and amla together with distilled water and let cure for at least 2 hrs to release the lawson dye and then mix the indigo with distilled water then combine the mixes.
I only let it sit on my head for 2 hrs. Any longer than that and the indigo stops working and you will get a warmer brown. I prefer a more cool toned brown. My natural hair color is a darker red but with this mix I get a brown/black color.

The mistake of the henna method. If you want great results, mix it at night and use it on your hair early. The more you ferment it, the more wonderful the results will be. We do this every week. Secondly, knead eggs and yogurt in henna that nourishes the hair and makes it beautiful and shiny. The hair increases thickness and heaviness with continuous use.

I did henna for about a year. It smells like a barn yard when you do your hair, lol. Loved the color in the beginning, but it never seemed to fade, at all. Which is in theory great, because red hair dye fades so fast. However, I was doing it myself and couldn't see the back of my head, so when I would put new henna on top of old henna, it would just get darker and darker, and now my ends look muddy. I stopped doing it because it's so messy it's hard to keep the parts you haven't done, away from the parts you have and I didn't want to just keep building up more color on the ends. I'd have to bleach my hair now to get it to match, or just use hair dye, and that kind of defeats the purpose of not using chemicals. Or wait for it to grow out, but with hair to my waist, that's a good 7 years or so.

@@etcwhatever Not in my experience. I even tried spraying it with lemon juice, and last summer I was at the beach - lots of sunshine, and chlorine from the pool, and it's still dark. I finally did end up dyeing my hair to try to get it to match. It's not where I want it to be yet, that's going to take some time if I don't want to fry my hair, but it's better than mud-colored.

@@KE-hr4sb wow. Its strong. This last year and an half ive fully dyed my whole hair for the first time and did a bunch of different colours. My hair is right know 1 tone lighter than my natural colour. I will use kattam over my faded dark red to make it something from chocolate to dark browm. In my case i do want to keep it dark for the future. Lets see if kattam sticks as much as henna 😅 thanks for answering 😇

Just want to know ... Where did you first learn about HENNA? I ask because most westerners don't automatically know what henna is or that it can be used outside of henna art. So I ask people on there channels to share their truth of where they learned of HENNA !!
    and the additional uses.
I first used fenugreek as skin care and food. Introduced by an south Indian friend. Henna 1st learned from an African woman.
    Good vid. Suggestion:?
Try using a cape , it could be washed out in the shower 🚿 or the tub or out side with the hose. Easy!! No messy clothes.

I plan to use henna on my hair when it reaches a certain length to cover my current green when it grows out more. I don’t know my natural hair color however last I saw it was a dirty blonde. I absolutely HATE it and still do! If it comes out like a light brown or something I’m using henna because I look much better in dark hair then light hair.

Have you made a video on how to grow broken hair? If not please make one, actually I had knee length hair and very healthy and thick, but someone said me to have a step cutting. And that was my biggest mistake because since then it's tooooo difficult for me to get that thickness back.

I am so looking forward to begin using only natural products in my hair which I already do but the challenge is with finding a good natural hair color that will cover my grays. la henna no provoca alergias contra otros productos ?? por qué los tintes comerciales dicen si usas tatuajes de henna y etc haz la prueba de alergia , igual hay que hacerla pero aún más si usas henna entre otros productos
